We wandered in here the night before Christmas Eve for dinner and drinks. We grabbed seat at the bar and were immediately greeted by a bartender who did not want us there. That cost this review a star. They have a small but good tap list, and a very good whisky list. We ordered a couple of beers and filed away the whisky for future reference. After perusing the menu, we went with the pierogi, dry rub wings. and the Gemini sandwich. Being of Czech descent, I was thrilled to see the former on the menu. They made a good sour cream habanero sauce to accompany it. The dry rub wings really didn't impress us, we found them a little flat. The sandwich I would gladly return for. Overall I feel the menu has much potential and I can't wait to sample more. And I love the beers they offer. The downside.... That bartender hated us. He really made us feel unwelcome and I noticed that he treated others the same way. I'll come back but I'll sit in a servers section if he's working. read more

Alrighty Cedar Creek, I think it's about time I write a review update, yes? Now that I've been here for at least a half dozen lunches and a few happy hours, I can safely say that Cedar Creek has found its feet and has stepped up its game. Consistently delicious food from a regularly changing menu that is Colorado Proud, friendly and efficient wait staff, and a pretty fabulous happy hour menu. I'm delighted that Cedar Creek appears to be gaining ground in the Anschutz Medical Campus area. It's truly a lovely place to have lunch, HH, or dinner, and enjoy time with friends and coworkers. Keep up the good work, Cedar Creek! So happy to have you in the AMC! read more

A decent little pub nestled away in the back of the Fitzsimmons medical campus, near all the spankin'-new condos. Seriously, I wouldn't have known there was a pub here if my husband (who works on the campus) hadn't ventured out for a happy hour a few weeks back. Since we were in the vicinity over the weekend, he decided to take me to lunch here. On a late Saturday afternoon, the place was nearly empty. My husband assured me that it had been packed for Thursday night happy hour. The layout is nice, and, like the typical pub, has booths as well as tables (both high and low), with lots of wood accents. All the TVs are tuned to ESPN, natch. Our waitress was friendly, and the food appeared quickly. I had the chipotle chicken sandwich, but sampled heavily from my husband's grilled tuna salad with pear and gorgonzola. Both were healthy choices -- you can ask for dressing or mayo on the side, and we skipped any fries. The amount of food wasn't overwhelming, which was great. However, there wasn't anything radically special about it. The salad came from a standard, store-bought mix, and the chicken and tuna looked like they're the kind that are bought in bulk at Sam's Club. Not a bad thing, as they're certainly yummy and edible and all that, but nothing...special. It looks like yet MORE condos are being built behind the current set, so the pub is sure to have more business in the near future. I'm sure it will become a neighborhood hang-out for the immediate locals if it isn't already (since dining options near the medical center are not exactly plentiful). Overall, it's a good place to grab a bite if you happen to be in the area, but I wouldn't bother driving a long distance to seek it out. read more

Fair warning: PARKING IS TERRIBLE. Like, non-existent. I mean really, there are about 30 public parking spaces for the entire complex which is a ton of residences. It's a really sad parking situation so best of luck to ya. Granted, this might not be CCP's doing but it still affects the business. I will say that our server was GREAT! She was efficient and polite and took great care of us. I was very surprised by the quickness of the crew. All of the employees were really nice and they were workin' hard. Personally, I just wasn't a fan of the location or the atmosphere. It seemed like a bunch of hoity-toity clientele who were snooty and snotty. Sure, it's situated next to a golf course but this ain't Bushwood (insert Caddyshack reference here). The menu seemed a bit pretentious. Most items were crazy expensive for a pub. I had a burger that was ok, not great. For $15 I expected more. I hear the garlic parmesan chicken wings are good but I didn't get the chance to try them. Would I go back? Sure, but I would walk so that I don't have to deal with parking and I would go at non-busy time. I'm willing to give it another shot but the first experience was totally meh. read more

I've been coming to this place for the last 2 years since I've moved here. I had a PDF copy of my passport, as I don't carry my wallet to work. I don't have the Colorado app, because my ID is not registered thru CO. I had a pdf copy of my passport, and the owner had a nasty attitude regarding how that wasn't "official enough", even going as to far as to say, I wouldn't be able to fly with the pdf copy. I actually have flown with that copy when I lost my wallet on a trip so that's wrong. The owner also said this wouldn't fly at my establishment, in which I work at a hospital and the focus is not about having physical IDs, when we're caring for sick and dying patients but a picture ID would absolutely suffice. I also had a US government issued work badge that matched my passport on hand. Be respectful to your patrons. The answer is no, but the rude and nasty manner in which it was expressed was off-putting. I don't have to and WILL NEVER come back to your establishment. read more

Not a whole lot to say - it was perfect. Cheese burger is one of the best I've ever had (and I'm picky). Fries were better than 5 guys. And a really good beer selection. Really nice facility too. read more

Fantastic pub! The beer selection is great. The menu has a lot of unique options. You can't beat the service or the prices. We really enjoyed the vegetarian green chili nachos. read more

A relative and I stopped by for a quick Happy Hour beer. 1. You have a nice little patio. 2. You have a fun area to look around and be in. 3. You have good service. 4. You have cold beer. 5. You have the only game in town. 6. You don't have a real Happy Hour (only $1.00 off of an already high beer price) 7. Come on. 8. Have a real Happy Hour (Happy means "smiling, in good spirits, untroubled, delighted") 9. Better specials. 10. That will bring me back. read more

Wow. Awesome garlic parm chicken wings. Gluten free and delicious. Real garlic, not garlic powder. The wings alone make Cedar Creek a must visit. read more

On my recent and semi-frequent visits to Coda Brewing, I had spotted Cedar Creek Pub across the way. Cedar Creek Pub has been here a couple years and has the same owner as Coda. On our visit to Coda today, we arrived prior to opening (on purpose) and went to order food at Cedar Creek to take with us on our brewery visit. The interior of this place is quite nice, and significantly larger than I expected. While waiting for the food, my friend enjoyed one of the varied Colorado Craft beer selections. Upon the recommendation of other Yelpers, and some staff members, I opted for the San Juan Burger with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, fresh-made guacamole and poblano mayo. All the burgers also come with lettuce and tomato as well. I went with the house made chips as my side. I like my chips a bit crunchier, but these were good (they may have steamed for a couple minutes in the container with the burger). I had ordered my burger with some raw onion on it, but sadly this modification did not occur, and I did not notice until I had transported my meal to Coda and was chowing down. This minor omission was quickly forgotten after taking a bite of this very tasty burger. The patty was moist and meaty, and had been cooked exactly as I requested (some pink). The flavors from the peppery topping gave this some serious zing. This was definitely one of the better burgers I have enjoyed recently. At $10, this was a quite reasonable price for what I received. I will definitely be dining here again. read more

Finally a decent place has opened up near University Hospital so I don't have to trek to Stapleton to enjoy microbrews and good food. The theme of the restaurant is that many of their products are sourced from Colorado which is something I really like. I've been to Cedar Creek Pub twice now. Both times were for Friday Happy Hour. HH is from 3-6pm daily. They have a GREAT selection of Colorado microbrews on tap. I especially love Great Divide's Hoss and Lefthand's Milk Stout. They are $4 per pint during happy hour. As for food they have a decent happy hour menu. You can get two of the best sliders in town with homemade chips for $4. YOU must get them. Each is hand-pattied and the brioche bun, from a local bakery, is to die for. I had them for the first time last Friday and thought about the bun all week so decided to go back for them last night. I've also tried their green chili nachos off their regular appetizer menu. They were a nice change of pace. The tortilla chips are made locally and are fantastic. The green chili could be spicier in my opinion. Last night I tried the "ghost pepper" buffalo wings. Again the sauce is made locally. As a wing connoisseur I'd give them a 7 out of 10. They were good size, cooked to perfect crispiness, and came with tasty homemade ranch and blue cheese. I would've liked them a touch saucier however. They weren't as hot as I thought they'd be. The atmosphere is good to watch a game. The bar isn't huge and has 3 or 4 flatscreens so easy to watch from wherever you sit. One thing they could improve on is sound. The bar sits in between two dining areas so difficult to have the game on the bar speakers and not have it be drowned out by diners on both sides of you. Also, I couldn't really hear any music last night nor last Friday. The service at the bar has been great. I especially like that they hand dry their beer glasses to ensure there is no soap residue left in the glass. My only worry about this place is as it becomes more and more popular (it should given the quality of the food and beer) is parking. The parking situation isn't very great. If I couldn't find street parking in the 20 or so spots I don't know where I'd park. Lucky for me I live within walking distance so 6 months out of the year I don't have to worry. read more

Great place to watch games , great food, good drinks and great people. I have met all 3 of the owners and they are super nice and gave me my first drink for free because it was my first time. I recommend the burger it is huge and it tasted great you will have to cut it in half though to be able to eat it. I also like the wings it's so crunchy and yummy. read more

I'm a student at the medical campus and come here on occasion with my classmates after big exams and such! It's a good restaurant, especially compared to most around the area in terms of atmosphere. The food is really good! I am a big fan of the chicken quesadilla and buffalo chicken salad. It's a tad pricy but I guess that's what you get when there's little competition for the wallets of the staff and students of a huge medical campus. The service is VERY hit or miss. There are a few servers that seem to be perpetually in a bad mood-- but other than that, the owner and other servers are great. They have a KILLER selection of eclectic draft beer from all over the United States. Every time I go here, they have multiple beers that I've never heard of before which is neat. They host trivia nights on a weekly basis, and the lady that leads them is amazing. They have happy hour from 3-6pm daily, but the discount isn't anything to get excited about. I've had many conversations with classmates about how much more often we would come to this place after school if they had a good happy hour with "cheap beers" like PBR/Coors for a couple of bucks, but I guess that's not the managements cup of tea. I think there's a ton of untapped potential since they're attached to an apartment complex FULL of students. I know for a fact my friends and I would be weekend regulars if there was some sort of late night happy hour with heavily discounted "cheap beer" or food. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're in Aurora and want to grab a beer/bite to eat! read more

Food is mediocre- I'm polish and tried the pierogies and to be quite frank they were awful. This should be removed from the menu. Decent beer selection. It's a good spot for university employees or apartment living because of its close proximity for a quick bite but it is not somewhere I would choose for a nice dinner. read more

I go to Cedar Creek allll the time! I'm a student on the Anschutz campus, and when I can only afford an hour or so to eat, I head there. The San Juan burger is delicious, as is their Elk burgers. Their fries are on the greasy side, but good nonetheless. Service has never been something to brag about, although I haven't had too many bad experiences. It's a great place to grab a beer on happy hour ($1 off drafts!) after school/work, and they have an outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. read more

Yummy food and great service. I was waiting for a friend and my waitress was very patient. It was Wednesday trivia night and she was still very attentive. The club sandwich and fries was plenty of food! Really good and more than I could eat. Even as my lunch the following day, it was yummy. read more

Cedar Creek Pub serves a "coulette cut" steak, cooks it pink and cuts it in generous hunks and spreads it on their large house salad platter. It's then dressed by you or them as you desire! It's absolutely the best tasting steak salad that I've ever had anywhere. I would go anytime just for this dish because I must have a high amount of quality protein that is delicious. Wow these owners have got to be proud of this dish! My dining companions were similarly pleased with their selections although I have been here half a dozen times I just order the steak salad. Some of their staff are extra nice and know how to nurse you through a very pleasant afternoon with laughter and great service to you and your friends. I predict you are going to love it. read more

Place sucks. Can't even hold a conversation, music is way to loud. Asked them to turn it down, but they can't. Not even close to a sports bar. A place with 5 TVs and a loud radio. Never again! read more

We are out of towers who visit denver often and are always looking for new and different places to eat. What drew me initially was the menu and the fact that mostly everything is local. The beer menu was impressive. Our party of 5 tasted the tacos, the San Juan burger, gyros (best my husband has tasted outside of new york) and salads. Everything was delicious! Our waiter Aaron was extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu including a tasty recommendation for a local beer. The only drawback was that it was trivia night and although we were seated in an entirely different part of the restaurant, the loudspeaker used for the game inhibited conversation. read more

I live upstairs and I was a regular until this evening. I came down for a quick bite to eat, without a mask. I walked right in, said hello to the bartenders, and sat down without any issues. As always, I get served promptly and I always tip with the same energy. I paid for dinner and came back an hour later with a date for some drinks. This time around I was immediately turned down by the male owner and was told to leave because I didn't have a mask.. The bar is just a few steps away and I had just been inside prior with zero issues. The amount of time I spent arguing the fact was enough time to take a seat at the bar and order. The owner had no masks available and turned down a regular. Sad to say I won't return to this establishment. I'll take my business next door to AMBLI where I always have a bar top available. read more

Nothing special, but basically your only option for drinks and food if you work on campus. Don't be noob and get cedar fries. Their wings are good too, and happy hour and beer selection is decent. great place to ditch work early to and bitch about your projects, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. So, upon first learning that there would be a pub on campus, I thought, "Yes! Finally!" Time passed, I anxiously awaited, and then Cedar Creek opened and I thought, "Wow. Good food and AWESOME beer." I will tell you that the food has really, really continued to improve since the restaurant's opening. My personal favorites have to be the Portobello burger, the Elk burger (with an over medium egg :), or the wedge salad!! As for beer? Gosh. It depends on the day of the week. That's what I really like, their rotating beer menu. I'm definitely a Milk Stout Nitro kind of girl, and when they have it, I'm in heaven. read more

The beer rotation keeps the stars a little higher than I would otherwise give. The food just doesn't do it for me. I have been several times, now, since it's so close. I am likely never to return, since I can get good beer anywhere. The food is hella salty, bland, and/or dry. The service is amenable, but I just wish they'd step up the game with the kitchen. I had the bourbon pub steak. While the meat itself was cooked properly, the glaze tasted like it was mostly soy sauce. The mashed potatoes were dense and not at all what I had hoped for. Again, the place has good beer and decent service. The food is just lacking. read more

No flavor - fish tacos were horrible. Elk burger might have been a frozen patty from McDonald's Sweet potato fries were the only redeeming thing. The pretzels were pretty good. Just don't order dinner. read more

Labbies, professors, medical students and other campus staff geek out here for lunch, but I can see why. Aside from being one of only a couple non-cafeteria places to eat on campus, lunch here is different. Let's say more civilized. A place where you don't have to shove a day old salad down your throat while "working". Forget the plastic fork and heating lamps, take an actual lunch break and walk into the fresh and tasty. Very nice decor, tvs, friendly service, and most importantly, one hella burger, loaded with fresh guac and jalapeños and brioche to sammich it together. Nice job. read more

THANK THE LORD there is finally a decent beer/burger option near Stapleton. The recipe for a successful establishment seems so easy, but so many strike out. Cedar Creek hit the ball out of the park! They have a great selection of local craft beers and the burger I had was AMAZING. I can't wait to go back here, and since I live on the east side of Stapleton, it's just a short 5 minute drive down Montview. Stapleton residents, you must try this place! You will love it! read more

A great option for a nicer lunch on campus if you are starving or your parents/family is visiting and you can only afford to leave the library for an hour. The burger is the go to choice here. Fish good, Philly a little chewy. And don't buy a bottle "craft" soda. The price isn't on the menu but it is nearly 4 dollars for a 12 oz root beer. Still five for filling a void, friendly service and burgers read more

I ordered a steak salad and gyro to be delivered to the hospital, 10 mins from the restaurant. We were so disappointed in the food...the lettuce was old, the steak tasteless...the French fries cold and the gyro bland. We decided to treat ourselves after eating hospital food for almost a month so splurged on this meal, $40 to have it delivered, which made this flop of a dinner even more significant. read more

We've been here a few times now and we really love this low-key pub! The food and drinks are both par and tasty for the price. Service is good, never rushed or slow. Almost always friendly and casual, which is exactly what I want from a neighborhood pub. We stopped in to watch the college football championship during our most recent visit and were surprised to find that the place was less than packed. In fact there were probably less than six groups on the place. On the one hand, this makes me sad because I want this place to do well. On the other, it's nice to have a secret watering hole that's never busy. But ultimately I want the former more than the latter so I'm here to let you all know that Cedar Creek Pub is definitely deserving of your patronage in the near future! read more

Really good food great portions and the margaritas were pretty tasty . I would recommend the Cubano and the Mexican egg rolls .

We were just passing through and decided to stop by for drinks and a quick bite. Really glad we did. The Santa Fe egg rolls were awesome, as were our drinks. I got the Guava Cranberry cocktail, and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. My boyfriend got the Ursula Limb-it-less guava hazy IPA, and loved that too. Overall a cool pub that offers a lot of local brews and good pub food at a good price. If we ever are in the area again, I'd definitely come back. read more

We were visiting UC Health and came here for a much needed break from everything. We came around 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and while the atmosphere seemed great, we were subjected to a super rude waitress for asking to sit a bit away from the crowd in a table section.
