Fattoush Salad, very tasty.

One of my fav local places to get a Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. The menu intersects both value and quality food. The offerings are pretty standard for a Mediterranean takeout place and this place is one of my go to places for a sandwich.

The food is very well done and everything always comes out tasting fresh. They do a fantastic job at outputting meals that taste authentic but also filling. I gave this review a 4/5 for a reason that can definitely be fixed in a quick manner and will definitely update this as time goes on. 1) When placing a phone order expect your time to be a little longer than what was said. I understand the establishment is small but I believe giving time spans that are reasonable but also speak on behalf of what the kitchen can handle is more important.

Toom garlic sauce (made the correct way, without eggs)

Well, I'm just going to join everyone else who gives this place a high rating. The food is absolutely outstanding. We tried the kibbeh footballs- still wish one of these middle eastern places would make it like Situ did...in a big, worn, old pan in the oven. But I will take it however I can (unless I make it!). Meat is ground smooth and it has visible onions in it. I pine (get it?) for the days we could get pine nuts in it but I understand...when even Costco sells a pound of pine nuts for $25. Sigh! Flavor was good, seasoning perfect. Dipped in their tahini or toom garlic sauce (no eggs- hurray!), a perfect side snack. They happened to be short a couple of kibbeh footballs, so they subbed a bunch of their homemade (and delicious) falafels. These are the best falafel I have had since Jerusalem Garden in Ann Arbor. I dunked them into the tahini and just enjoyed their fried goodness. Nice balance of chick pea to fava bean flavor and does not taste like a mix. The meat kefta is huge! Just a piece is good for a meal. It comes with a big side of turmeric and cinnamon-spiced rice, homemade pickles (wonderful) and some fresh, chopped parsley and vegetables. What a great lunch. The chicken kebob is char grilled, moist, perfect flavor. Like the best grilled chicken you ever had. Also side of rice, etc. Addictive! Make sure you get a big container of toom garlic sauce to take home. You will put that stuff on everything! They give you bags of soft local-made pita bread and plastic forks in sleeves to dig in on the way home. You will have food for days. Unassuming outside and don't be thrown by the American style menu. They kind of do both here but you know where their heart is, firmly in the middle eastern heritage food. Good job, Alagha!! This Marieb/Edwards/Fodor/Nader grandkid approves!

Great chicken and meat entree! Family friendly and a great place to get your Middle Eastern cuisine fix. Highly recommend if you want a great meal with affordable cost!

No one makes better Falafel's. I also love their rotisserie chicken. It's the only place I will order these items

I've moved away from the area, but I still find myself coming back to Al Ameer's whenever I'm in…read moretown, that alone says a lot. The night started off great, the hostess seated us at our favorite table, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, our server set a completely different tone. She was rude from the start. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but that kind of attitude shouldn't carry over to customers. There were 7 of us, and I will say the food came out quickly, which we all appreciated because we were starving. We ordered the whole boneless chicken, chicken shawarma sandwich, fried kibbie, rice, hummus, and salad, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food never disappoints here. The only downside was... where was our server? She was pretty much nonexistent throughout the meal. Thankfully, I asked my favorite server to take over, and he stepped in without hesitation. From that point on, the service was amazing, exactly what I've come to expect from this place. Despite the rough start, I'll definitely be back. The food is too good, and when the service is right, it's a great experience overall.

I love both locations of Al Ameer, but I'll focus on this one for reviews' sake…read more This location is optimal, whether I'm coming from or going to the airport, shopping, or whatever the case may be, it's a great stop on my day of activities. It's esthetically beautiful. There's lots of parking; and the staff is always wonderful. Very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant is family oriented, but also great for business lunches, dining with friends or solo. They also offer catering. The food is top-notch and always fresh. The menu boasts lots of the Mediterranean favorites, such as raw juices, smoothies, breakfast, flat bread options, various salads, schawarma, burgers, appetizers (the roasted potatoes--yum), and healthy meals such as vegetarian options, chicken and lamb entrees. Don't forget a yummy side of warm pita bread. I usually order as I did this time, a Fatooush salad with extra garlic on the side. The small size is an entree size, adding their moist flavorful chicken makes it a complete meal. They have comparable prices, so you won't break the bank eating at Al Ameer.

Al-Ameer West - I don't know how long it's been renovated, but it looks way better than the last time I was here.

In town for work. Common recommendation is the solid Middle Eastern food scene…read more Saw this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. There's a parking garage in the rear and plenty of spots. I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.
