I was so happy with my appointment. I felt so comfortable and safe with all the protocols that they have in place that I can actually relax at my appointment. Even having my hair being shampooed was relaxing even with my mask on, Shelby did not skip a beat. I definitely didn't wanna do any color with everything going on with Covid I wanted to just keep my natural color for low maintenance but I definitely was in need of a haircut. My hair feels so much lighter. I have a really curly hair which makes it seem dry sometimes and unhealthy however she assured me that my hair is very healthy which made me feel really good about myself for trying to take care of it during this pandemic. But she put in a lot of light layers of blended together really well and my hair just feels so incredible, I'll keep saying it. However with all the zoom meetings and everything kind of being front facing camera, I decided I wanted a little bit more extreme facial framing and she definitely achieve that while still allowing for my hair to be put up. She also knew exactly my fear when I said I don't want side sweet banks I would like the J.Lo curtain bangs look and she delivered. I am beyond happy with Shelby's work and I am beyond happy with how much it cost! Some salons charge way more just for a cut and I'm very very happy with the price, the environment, everything! I'm pretty sure this person/business no longer exists. I booked appointment on their site, which required a credit card should I cancel within 24 hrs. Automated response stated pending confirmation. After I followed up via phone call, email, and text I was never acknowledged what soever. Finally got an automated "your appointment has expired". Followed that up as well with no response. I hope my credit card information hasn't been compromised. read more

I've been going to Camille since we moved to Rockwall in January 2022. I do not trust my hair to anyone else. My hair is fine and fragile, and Camille was able to do highlights while keeping it healthy. She would just touch up the roots with balayage from time to time. My hair was super healthy and strong. When Camille was out on maternity leave, I had to go to another nearby salon for a trim and root touch up. My hair was destroyed and I was charged a fortune! Camille was very honest with me about how damaged it was (she had to cut off a lot!). So now I an on the journey to better hair and it's going great so far(seePics!). I did a lot of research trying to look for hair salons in the area since I just moved last year. Booking my hair appointment was really easy and fast! I didn't have any haircuts/styles done since pre-covid so my hair was pretty long and ready to have a fresh cut and style. Her little salon is very clean and well-kept and the decor in there is so pretty! I was kind of nervous at first, but I'm so glad I met and had my hair done by Camille! She is so friendly and sweet and she is attentive to what you want to have done to your hair. She also makes sure you're comfortable too. I drove an hour (there and back) to see Camille at Cedar & Ivy studio and I am so glad I did. I came in with a few ideas for my hair and showed her quite a few pictures. She helped me decide which one would flatter me best. She took her time did things to perfection, which is exactly what you want in a hair stylist. I am so happy with my balayage. Tried to book online & this site is impossible. What does "new guest #1,2,3" & new package #4, etc even mean?? Camille was super sweet & did a decent color, but unfortunately my haircut is not at all what I had asked for. In fact, it's the complete opposite!! It's so hard to tell at the salon, & my hair grows fast so I don't typically care too much, but it's just AWFUL!! Blunt cuts & super awkward non-blended bangs or something...it's all wrong. Such amazing work, my hair always turns out PERFECT. She won't stop working until her clients feel beautiful (which I always feel walking out of her doors). I have IBE extensions so with the amount of time each appointment takes it was SO important that I had someone I could connect with and Camille is 100% that girl for me. Went here for a haircut with Camille and it was...uncomfortable. I sat down and she asked what I wanted. Since I haven't been here before I let her know that I'd like long layers, that I like having the bulk removed using the slide cut method, and that I'd like the front layers to frame my face. Well this made her QUITE angry. She became very defensive. She immediately asked if I even wanted her to cut my hair. I said, Um yes? Then she asked if I even knew what a long layer was. I said not really but I know the look of the cuts I like and have been told that's what it's called and that's what to ask for at the salon. She then made me look at different areas of my hair and repeatedly asked "is this a long layer?? How about this!?" It was so weird. She also told me slide cutting was bad for my hair. That's fine but most of my previous stylists have done it and it turned out fine so I thought it was safe to ask for. She asked if I had ever gotten a haircut that I liked (in a snide, accusatory way) and I told her yes, most of them turn out well. I eventually just let her do what she wanted because I don't care that much about my hair and really just wanted my hair cut because it was getting too long and unruly. But I won't be going back. She does NOT want to be told what kind of cut to give. Some hair dressers like to know exactly what you want so they can make you happy, so I thought I was being helpful as a first time client. Apparently not. Once I let her do what she wanted, she got more amicable. The haircut turned out okay-ish, but again I'm not actually very picky. It didn't end up looking like the photos I showed her. She also didn't blow out and style my hair like my previous hair stylists usually do (and what my photos showed) though I didn't specifically ask for it. Again, not picky. It may have been a miscommunication because I did mention that at home I usually air dry. She did ask me at the end if I wanted any changes, but I don't think she would have taken it well if I had asked for any. Oh and side note, I do not like the smell of the hair products they use. I had to wash my hair when I got home because my hair smelled bad. But that's probably personal preference. So if you're not picky and down for whatever, this place will be fine for you. If you know exactly what you want, maybe try somewhere else because if she doesn't like it, you're in for a super awkward experience. read more

I have never had my hair professionally dyed and was pretty nervous, but wanted to do something fun and hide my white hairs that were becoming a little obvious. I came in thinking I was going to have to bite the bullet and dye all my hair and keep re-dying the roots, but she really listened to what I wanted and found a balayage option that could hide them and I can still keep my original hair color at the roots!
