I saw pictures on Instagram and contacted one of the hairstylist - she replied, asking what I would like to get. I had a typical yellow/orange blonde and wanted to go more ash blonde. She saw a picture of my hair and said that I need to do roots + toner and that she will do it for $85. I agreed. When I came, she was running late - over 20 minutes (that's why I assume she didn't even have time to properly do my hair). Before we started I showed her a picture of her own work from her own Instagram - she said no problem, we will do it. She proceeded to put toner on my roots - I asked her several times if she is not going to bleach it, she said no, it will be fine. After maybe 30 minutes she was done - I asked again, saying that the roots are too dark. She replied saying that they only look dark because my hair is wet. Well, after drying it looked even worse. She said that she quoted me $60 for the toner and I said that it was supposed to be $85 for roots and toner. She then suddenly remember and said "oh yes $85". She did not offer to fix my hair, was extremely unprofessional and did not care about her work at all. The result is I paid $85 for just the toner, no roots, and I look horrible. My hair has three different shades/colors, all for only $85. Despite her promises and pictures, my hair looks nothing like I wanted and like she promised. She did not even try, just put any toner and that was it. She was also very ungentle, my head hurt for a couple of hours after the service. I will tell everybody I know to avoid this place. If you want to look good, stay away!
Update
I did not attack a small business. I posted my honest review about my own experience. Here are few things I want to add:
1. The owner called me yesterday and offered to fix my hair for free. However, during our conversation she tried to tell me how wrong I was and how bad it was that I posted the review. She even stated she will dispute my review with yelp. Clearly, she was only interested in getting it removed.
2. My appointment was late around 20 mins. I do not mind because I understand these type of things may run late - however I do not appreciate being said that the stylist cannot fix my hair because of another appointment.
3. When I came to the salon I clearly stated I want one color, no roots visible. I even showed the stylist a picture of her own work. After my hair was washed, I told her SEVERAL times it is too dark.
4. The stylist offered to fix my hair FOR A CHARGE. That is not the way to treat a customer, even if in her opinion it was a "miscommunication".
5. I do not want to come back to the salon - I asked the stylist to fix it during my first visit and she wanted to charge me, the owner tried to blame me for the problem, she only wanted the review to be removed because "she never had one star review". I spent my way home crying how bad my hair looked after the first appointment and I would not feel comfortable going back. read more
