This company has been a nightmare to work with. They are not timely to respond to inquiries and they get defensive when they do not get their way. One would think that in this competitive market companies would go the extra mile to earn your business, however, not CDS. Hayley in particular was completely unprofessional, disrespectful and passive aggressive. Our company recently extended our lease another five years and I was put in charge of ordering new cubicles and chairs for the remodel. I contacted their office and Bill followed up with an email and phone call, and he was very professional. When I finally made a visit to their office furniture showroom in Costa Mesa I was impressed with the boutique feel and CDS had a large selection of cubicle options and styles. We ended up getting a newer type benching system which was lower in height than our existing system and we love the open feel! CDS helped us choose the right color fabric panels and work surfaces- the licorice color is beautiful. I also ordered the mesh back chair and white frame from Bill and the employees here are happy with the options and comfort. I highly recommend CDS and we are pleased with the installation that went very smoothly. read more

I came to CDS and wandered around their show room for 20 minutes. No one offered to help me select office chairs for our business. Finally I found a sales person who promised to get right back to me with a quote. Two weeks went by. They never did. So I called them. They promised to research my inquiry and get right back to me with a quote. Three weeks went by. They never did. So I called them - again. Finally I reached another sales person who explained they had no record of me coming in or calling them. Why? Because they had no record of sending me a quote. Really? How do these people even stay in business. Don't waste your time. read more

I was put in charge of scouting places that could help us with redesigning our office and installing cubicles and stumbled upon CDS. Full disclosure we didn't end up purchasing cubicles from them, but if I was making the purchasing decision I would have went with CDS. Hayley is amazing and was super helpful in taking the time to explain what was available and how to best utilize the space for our needs, while congruently making it the most aesthetically pleasing. She then followed up and I had inform her we were abandoning her in the middle of the process. If I have any office needs in the future, I'll definitely be coming back to CDS. read more

I gave this company another chance, and was much happier with the service this time around. The new staff I worked with was efficient and attentive, and worked hard to earn back my company's business. Hayley Morton was our sales rep and came out the same day to measure our new office space. She knew exactly what we wanted and helped us get some other necessities like a book shelf and a supply cabinet to match. We had the desks and accessories assembled in exactly 7 days. CDS Office Products is absolutely an adequate business and has a wide variety of products for almost all aspects of office operation at very competitive prices. I would certainly recommend checking them out if you're shopping around for office supplies for your business. Dates and times promised/quoted for delivery and/or installation are strictly adhered to. The customer service team is pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. With all that said, here's why I only gave CDS three stars instead of five: the president of the company, Scott Morton. He can be very friendly and warm in discussions with his (CDS's) clients and sometimes bends over backwards to make them happy. On the other hand, he will, at times, "cut corners" to meet deadlines. Usually, these "cut corners" amount to nothing of consequence whatsoever. But, I personally know that on occasion he had (in the past) "substituted" a lesser product for the actual ordered product but still charged the same price. I'm mostly aware of this happening with cases of paper (printer paper) when the vendor has delivered the wrong paper or if Scott's able to get a stupendous deal on some cheaper, lower quality, paper. He is also not particularly nice or respectful to his employees to the point that at least some of them resent him for it. Aside from Scott, everyone at CDS is ever-friendly and eager to help customers and clients with whatever they may require. My last dealing with CDS was way back in 2006 or 2007 so things could be very different now. Furthermore, you can feel safe and comfortable doing business with them because they ultimately stand behind everything that they do and sell. I don't personally dislike Mr. Morton at all and don't want to make him sound like a bad guy; he's a very decent person. I just felt that I had a little "insider" info that you may want to know about the company and its inner-workings that I should throw out there. I hope that this is informative to you in selecting a supplier for your business' office product needs. read more
