Was excited about this store as a big fan of physical media. Good selection at okay prices. Spent around $200 and was disappointed at the result: We bought a new vinyl and when we got home to play it found out it was warped. Guy was snippy on the phone repeating all sales are final and anything could've happened when we left out the store. I'd understand this behavior with used records or rare finds, but if you can't guarantee quality with a mass produced print how is this not just gambling? I am typing my 200th review following my first-time visit to CD Warehouse in Kennesaw. Let's get into the details behind this near-perfect experience. I was in search of an older movie I hadn't been able to find at local thrift stores. I headed here to see if I had better luck and I'm thrilled to report, YES! For me, part of the thrill is in the hunt. I scanned multiple racks without any luck. I was about to give up. This is where I could've used some help, but the employees didn't acknowledge even acknowledge me. It's a small store and I'm pretty sure it was clear I was on a mission. Before asking for help, I took another pass through the store and that's when I found the movie. Eureka! Despite the small size of the store, I was impressed with the selection (DVDs, Blu Ray, CDs, records). Everything is alphabetized, so that's super helpful. I perused and found a few more movies I couldn't live without (ha!). The value is really good...way cheaper than online distributors and no shipping. I bought Blu Ray movies in great condition for $3-4 dollars. I checked out and again found the service so subpar. No one asked if I found everything I wanted or even thanked me for visiting. I'm not asking for the red carpet, but *some* friendliness would've been better than nothing at all. It's only four stars because I found what I wanted (and more!) - that's what is most important. read more

My 12 year old daughter who has spent hundreds of dollars here on posters and cds has decided to start buying vinyl records. It is posted that all sales final on used vinyls but nowhere says you can and should open the plastic wrapping to inspect it first. She bought her first one and opened it to find it warped. I called within 10 minutes of purchase to be told "sorry about your luck". We will not be back here, I would not treat my adult customers like that, I sure as heck would not treat my young customers like that. read more

Great store. You walk in, CD's are in the front, there are no disks inside them but you can open them up and check for the inserts, the prices are low. Like, super low prices on most CDs. They have a bin of 1$ CDs with some decent selections, blues, jazz wall across from it. They mostly have rock. What surprised me is they had a whole wall of hip-hop/rap artists. In the back is the vinyl and VHS tape sections. I don't use vinyl, but they were mostly priced around 20-30$ so I don't know if that's normal. Guys at the front desk are chill, CDs worked great. While I'm disappointed that the CD Warehouse in Roswell went out of business during the COVID-19 pandemic, I'm glad that the Marietta location is still open. If you're looking for a specific CD, it's really easy to call in advance and see if they have what you are seeking in stock. I did this today, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had both CDs. Obviously, it's not as easy as scrolling through iTunes to listen to every song by a specific artist, but visiting CD Warehouse reminds me of what it was like to visit Tower Records or The Wherehouse. One of the differences is that here you may have to search through a bunch of CDs to find a hidden treasure. I bought three CDs today. I love their prices. I paid $4.99, $2.99 and $0.99 for my used CDs. That ends up being around $0.40 to $0.08 per song assuming around 12 songs per CD. It's definitely cheaper than the $1.29 per song on iTunes. So, if you are looking for a specific CD, consider calling the CD Warehouse in Marietta to see if they have what you are seeking. read more

CD warehouse is a hidden gem that we thankfully found before I started collecting CDS again. Once heard one of the workers say "You have to come in for these prices" instead of buying online. IT IS WORTH COMING IN. I've been able to find holy grails in there. The staff is always friendly to help and will answer any questions. The selection is amazing. The selection and prices are amazing and I look here first for movies over any other movie store! They have a great selection of 4K, bluerays, dvds, box sets, cds, and vinyls!!! I'm a long time customer of these guys. It's one of those shops I can go and spend time simply looking around. With the advent of digital music, I rarely buy CDs. And Amazon/Netflix/etc have killed DVDs, but it's still fun to look. Why? The selection of hard to find stuff these guys acquire is pretty phenomenal. I've found box sets no available anywhere online sitting on their shelves for fantastic prices. The other joy is the staff. It's been the same staff for years. They are fun to interact with, play the most eclectic music selections and don't rush you to buy something. It's a very natural process in this store. The music and conversation typically result in a purchase. Stop by in a lunch break. You'd be surprised. read more

A used CD store that is pretty much luck of the draw as to whether you will find something you want or not. There's no reason to go here for anything other than used CD, DVDs or video games. They carry new items, but not with enough of a selection to make it worth trying to see if they have what you want in. Your standard trade-in spot, with perhaps a bit more flow of product due to its location near Town Center mall. Like most of these kind of spots, you can preview the discs before you buy on their listening stations. If you're trying to sell your old stuff, don't expect to get a lot. They don't want much these days unless they're sure its going to sell, and even then they don't offer much cash value. CDs are on their way out and so I'm sure these kind of businesses are sweating to figure out how they are going to stay afloat. This location will probably float longer than most, again due to its location. I'd say 4 times out of 5 I go in and go back out of here empty-handed, but it's a good place to kill 10 minutes. read more

These guys rock, literally! I've been a patron of CD Warehouse for years. I never walk out empty-handed! I'm always looking to add to or complete artist sets and I get the end result by shopping CD Warehouse. If they do not have a particular CD in-store, they have the ability to order the CD new for you. Out of all the CD's I've had them order, the only one that was a no-go was The Rolling Stones 40 Licks. They simply do not produce that one any longer. Yeah, I was floored. Have to replace that CD so, tomorrow I'm off to the store to see if they might have one in stock, and grab what's on my list while I'm there! I could spend several hours in this store. If my day isn't going so great, I head there and literally lose myself in music! Just awesome and feels good to support a business in my area! read more

It's nice to see shops like these that still sell old CDs. Although they do have a large selection, including lesser known artists, I can never find what I'm looking for. The entire music selection is pretty much divided into Jazz, Rock, Pop, Classical and Soundtrack, which makes it really hard to find what I need since it's so vague. The staff seem very to themselves. I kept trying to ask a question but had to wait for their long personal conversation to be over. I've never seen any of them smile or seem friendly at all. Kind of feels dead when I walk inside. No welcome or goodbye. Kind of felt intimidated. All negatives aside, though- their DVD selection is superb and for AWESOME prices.I got the Office season 5 boxset and King of the Hill season 1 boxset for only $8 each. Really good deal, especially after going to MovieStop down the road. They have a ton of television box sets and movies on both DVD and bluray. I always come here whenever I need to find a tv show and movie. And the plus side is that it's called CD Warehouse, so not a lot of people know that they also sell video games and DVDs, so you don't have to be worried about people taking all of the good deals. I don't even come here for CDs anymore, haha. Overall, great selection and stock- but they could improve their categorization and friendliness/welcomeness. read more

Its all used stuff but every now and then I will find a decent post rock record some kid who probably hangs out at swayzes tried to like but ended up selling to these guys. I don't have to drive to the city to get there but when the mall traffic kicks in it can kind of blow trying to get home. Its also like a bunch of weezer cds and shit like that. I mean how many copies of that shitty weezer record does one store really need? Thankfully this shit isn't too far from my home. I've visited CD Warehouse a total of 3 times. My first visit was quite nice. I found exactly what I was looking for, the shop was clean and organized, and the staff was friendly. That was around 3 years ago. I've visited the shop 2 more times over the past month or so; I won't be returning. During both of my visits the staff did not seem to care about my patronage enough to even acknowledge my entrance (I was the only person in the small store). Behind the counter, the employee sat watching Netflix on his phone, completely disregarding me as a potential paying customer. The other employee seemed to be tidying up the merchandise. He as well pretended that I didn't exist. As I walked up to the counter to request assistance in locating a particular article of music, the employee turned his back to me. Assuming he was getting out of his chair, or finishing up an errand last second I waited. He never turned around. "Excuse me, I'm looking for a copy of Deviations by Nine Inch Nails on Vinyl, do you carry any?" He granted me all of 2 seconds to turn around and grumble a "No" before turning back around to finish binge watching whatever it was he was watching. As I left the store, I thanked both of them for their time. In leaving, they yet again refused to acknowledge my existence. The store itself was dingy. It was not dirty, nor was it noticeably clean. The selections were very poorly organized, and beyond that it was apparent the merchandise was not taken very good care of. For a used CD and Video store, I would assume at least a decent selection of discs and packaging would be new/in good condition. Pawning through the CD collection, every disc along with its case appeared to have gone through a blender for initiation. I was not impressed with the physical quality. What I was surprised about, though, was the variety of quality music itself. I might've even made a purchase, has the cases and discs not been torn to shreds. I happened across a few rarer titles with a price-tags that didn't break the bank by any means. If this store has any saving grace, they have the right products for the right prices. Unfortunately, my 3rd trip will have been my last. With physical music and videos becoming a dying breed, I was expecting to be greeted upon and treated in a nice manner. This was absolutely not the case. With "2nd & Charles" less than a block away (With helpful employees, an even broader spectrum of music and videos, and a nice, clean store) there unfortunately isn't a single reason to visit this store. read more

Even though there were no other customers in the store, niether of the staff welcomed me. In fact, I stood right in front of the counter waiting for one of them to look up and acknowledge me. When he did he garbled a load of stuff about being left with a load of crap from the day before and anything I had to trade would have to be left with him for at least 2 hours... er... it would have taken you 5 minutes you cheese! For what I was expecting for the discs it wasn't worth the gas money to come back, and because they couldn't even state in a friendly manner that they were'nt really buying at present, I wont ever be coming back. Shame really as they missed out on about 120 clean British imports the likes of "Ocean Colour Scene", "Travis" & "Pulp". I wasn't even looking for that much $$$. They have a very excellent collection to choose from if you are looking for blu ray dvd or even seasons of tv shows by far the best place to shop for your entertainment needs. Everytime I go to CD Warehouse, I get some awesome stuff. They offer better-than-most money for your trade-ins and they have a great selection of DVDs, CDs, and games. Lots of Criterions, foreign movies, etc. Great location beside Barnes and Noble/Publix, too. read more

you really should go to the sandy springs location. they buy cd's that are scratched. they have a buffer that they use. sometimes the cd's are way too scratched but about 80% of the time they buy them. cooll bunch of guys too. read more
