    Barbacoa tacos

Pleasantly full at noon on a Wednesday, I was seated immediately. It's a cool space once you're inside but you can't help but feel you're still on the gaming floor. I ordered the barbacoa tacos and honestly, they were some of the best tacos I've had in a long time. They weren't greasy, the toppings were fresh, and the pickled jalapeños weren't overly pickly or spicy.

After seeing all the negative reviews, I was pretty hesitant about eating here. But it was surprisingly good! I think you have to accept that it is just a nicer bar food restaurant. It's not fancy. I had the mushroom and sausage flatbread. My husband got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Both were good. I wouldn't say they were awesome, but definitely good. The chicken sandwich was no where near hot but a good chicken sandwich. My flatbread was hot, cheesy and flavorful. The beer was good too! We sat outside and caught a breeze. Overall, I would come here again. I am not sure if the negative reviews came from people who had high hopes of some high class dining. But we just came for some nice bar food after we gambled a little.

Food here is okay. The Crab Cakes were a decent size but was more bready than crabby. Soup was extremely salty, so we ended up packing it up and bringing it home to dilute. Nashville hot chicken burger was okay - nothing out of the ordinary, and not spicy. Husband liked his fish tacos, but he said it wasn't anything that was overly amazing. If it hadn't been for their half off all month promotion, we probably would not have tried it. I prefer their cafe/other eateries that they have at Gun Lake.

people sitting at tables in a restaurant

My husband and I visited last night. It was about a 45 min wait for a table (not bad) so we played a couple games while we waited. (They send a text when your table is ready) Cons: We did have to wait 20mins before we were even greeted by a server and the only reason we got that server was because I had to go and ask for one. So I was a little Hangry Pros: The restaurant was nice, great atmosphere. Once we got a server he was very nice and apologetic and explained that it was the 2nd day and they are still working out some of their systems. I ended up getting the burger and beer flight, and my husband had the pork sandwich. We also had the philly egg rolls as an appetizer and I must say EVERYTHING was delicious. They also gave us two free desserts for the wait which my husband gladly accepted and gobbled up lol

We dined al fresco for our visit and had such a lovely time. Our server was Landon and he was training a new server, so they made sure to pay good attention to us, aside from how busy it was that evening. One slip up though was that we had to grab our silverware from the bar cart because we hadn't gotten any and we hadn't seen them in a few minutes. We got this meatball dish as an appetizer and that was probably my favorite part of the meal. The sauce was just so savory and delectable and the meatballs are a good side. I also love being able to mop up the extra sauce with the toasted bread! Then for our main course we both got pasta dishes. I don't remember much about them already because they were just fine, nothing to really jump for joy about. One of our dishes had lots of peppers on it, which is always nice. I'll give the benefit of the doubt that with the weather being nice, there was a surge in business so things might not have been top notch. I'd certainly come back again if I visit Holland any time in the near future!

Unfortunately, when we visited this most recent time, the market was not working so I ordered a flight with my dinner. It did eventually start up as we were getting ready to leave, and everything was super high so we didn't participate in the fun. I ordered the Honey Chicken sandwich with the cheese curds and it was honestly delicious. The chicken was good and a perfect blend of savory and sweet, the sandwich came with lettuce, freezer pickle and ranch. The cheese curds were surprisingly some of the best I've had and were perfect with a bit of ranch. I'd have the meal again and hopefully next time, the exchange is up and running! :)

I was really excited they had some gluten free drink options on the menu! I got a seltzer for my first drink (delicious) and a cider for my second. My sister was having fun watching the prices shifting and trying to decide what to get. I was starving, so I also got a sandwich on a gf bun. It was delicious. The chips were great too and our bartender suggested we get their french onion dip too. Also delicious. The service was great and friendly and the vibe overall was really enjoyable. Don't often head out to Kalamazoo, but would definitely stop by again if I was in the area!
