TheBarn is high intensity, low impact cardio awesomeness on a stationary bike. Basically, they have something for everyone. It's great for you if you are an elite athlete or a self proclaimed couch potato. You ride at your own pace. The first 5 classes free helps you decide what classes and instructors suite you best. I've seen people loose weight just from coming to TheBarn because the classes are so much FUN!!! Since it's FUN, you want to come back. When you keep coming back ... it makes sense that you loose weight loss and see fitness results. The staff is friendly. The customers are friendly. The instructors are friendly. Classes are as easy or as hard as you want to make them. The music is LOUD and instructors are not required to edit their music. It's cool that you can read about each instructor and their style on the website. I also think it is really cool that I see families that ride together. Teens come to class with their parents. Sometimes I think its the teen that is dragging the parent not the other way around. I recommend all the classes... CB2 Performance IQ is great if you are competitive with others or yourself. The leaderboards motivate and make you work harder. CB2 Cycle is old skool Indoor Cycling in the style of Spin® class. CB2 Rhythm is new skool in the style of SoulCycle. It is a dance party on a bike and CardioTherapy. CB2 TotalBody is great for anyone that doesn't have time to lift weights. It also compliments any strength training outside class. CB2 TotalBody uses PowerSak sand weights for a lil upper body resistance work. CB2 RevelationRevolution is a Christian Indoor Cycling class led by a certified Revelation Wellness coach. CB CycleBarn is the best cycling studio EVER! There is so much variety in the classes they offer - something for everyone. If you are a newbie to spin, this is the place to start your new obsession. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging the minute you walk through the door. And if you are an experienced rider try their IQ classes! There are so many classes offered that you can easily find something that will fit into your busy schedule. I had no idea what I was doing 2 1/2 years ago when I walked through their doors to just "try" spin. I was lucky to have the owner Karen be my instructor for that class. I have taken a lot of classes since then but I can recall almost everything about my first day on a bike there because of Karen. So if you want to get a workout in, have awesome, inspiring instructors who play great music and make it FUN and a Barn staff that is there for anything you may need, stop thinking about where to go and come here. I really like this cycle studio! I wish I found it much sooner so I could have used it more. The studio is always packed full of high energy people ready to have a fun ride! The teachers I've tried were all great and play great music! They pass out scented cold towels at the end, which is a great treat after a tough workout. The only flaw that keeps me from giving it five stars is their sound system. Basically every class I've taken there the teacher had trouble and had to fiddle with something to do with the music or microphone. The sound quality could also be better, but hey, I love this place and kept going back anyway. I wish many studios didn't ask you to clean your own bike after class (this one included). For as much money as each class costs I think they should provide that service. People are lazy about it anyway so the only way to be sure a bike is cleaned is to have your own staff do it. I started going to the CB Cycle Barn over two years ago when I was looking for an exercise routine I could commit to. I'm not someone who can just go to the gym, and run on the treadmill and lift weights day in and day out. I need my exercise to be fun or else I get bored real fast. And that is what the CB Cycle Barn is all about...having FUN!!! They have an awesome staff full of truly wonderful people. I've taken a class with almost every instructor and I can honestly say they are all excellent! The positive energy that pulses through the Barn is powered by upbeat music, amazing barn peeps, and sweet sweet sweat! I never had any interest in indoor cycling. I'm not into total fitness, never was until I realized that I was getting fat after I quit smoking. So one day I decided to lose some weight and exercise alittle before it got too late.I hated getting hot and being out of breath and most of all I can't stand being bored. So one day I took a class at CB Cyclebarn And boy was I amazed !!!!!! Yes it was hard, yes I got hot, And Yes I got breathless. But I felt comfortable , energized, and encouraged by the instructors, and never judged by my lack of abilities. And most of all I actually enjoy my workouts, because I have fun , never bored. I have been coming to the Barn for the last couple of years. I used to be a runner but because of some injuries that's no longer an option. I absolutely LOVE the instructors and classes at the Barn. Everyone is incredibly nice, helpful and the instructors make you feel comfortable even if you can't keep up. It's fun to see your stats at the CB2 IQ classes. I've told everyone I know about this place and how comfortable you feel here. I've taken classes from many instructors but especially love Karen, Melissa and Lisa. You can't go wrong with anyone. CB CycleBarn is so much more than a bad A** workout. It is community, it is cardio therapy, it is family. The staff and instructors truly love what they do and they are GREAT at it. The attention to detail in the workout and in the customer service is outstanding. The music is loud, the facility is clean and the workout is second to none. The book your bike system makes the sign up process so easy. I love the interactive Performance IQ system and even better is the fact that I get my stats emailed to me after the class. There is absolutely NO spin studio better than Cycle Barn!! The instructors are incredibly motivating and knowledgeable, and the laser light shows, disco ball and amazing music give you what you need to push hard the whole time! Such a cool environment and SO much fun! The owner, Karen, is so caring about all of us... it's kinda the "Cheers" of spin :) I recently went out of town for the holiday and went to a "big box" gym spin class.... and let's just say I couldn't WAIT to get back to the Barn! I have been attending Cycle Barn for about a year and it has been one of the best workouts I've ever done. You get the best of both worlds with a group style workout paired with an individual self driven workout. The cardio burn is amazing. Melissa is one of the best instructors I've ever had and she is so motivating. In fact all the instructors are motivating and enthusiastic. I am truly not a spinner but after a couple of classes with Karen, I an completely hooked. Karen is an amazing instructor, she not only pushes you to your ultimate goal, but her music puts it over the top. The energy and intensity of the barn makes you feel like you can do anything, as for me, it's spinning to my daily dose of mental sanity. I will definitely be back- 5 free classes? YES PLEASE! My girlfriend goes regularly so it'll be super convenient to tag along for the free classes :) The hour went by semi fast, considering I was trying my hardest to keep up. The instructor was really motivating and even said "for those who are beginners or it's their first time, don't expect to be able to do everything I'm doing right now. I LOVE the new Cycle Barn! The spin room is amazing. Plenty of space, lots of bikes, good air circulation, and great sound system. Everything is clean, new, and fresh. LOVE this new workout !! Great staff, friendly and knowledgeable too. The bikes have made huge improvements since my earlier spin experience, they feel just about like an outdoor bike. I have been coming here for a couple of months now and thought I would get use to some of the loud monotonous wrap music drilled into my head as I am spinning. However, I personally have found it to be head throbbing and have had a few times left with a headache. I also don't appreciate some of the profanity that is in some of the lyrics especially for some of the teens that come to your classes. read more
