I absolutely appreciated the phone call that someone canceled. Dr. Nam was extremely personable, with a relaxed but educational demeanor. As someone who isn't a fan of the density, I appreciated the offering of music or Netflix as a distraction method from the procedure. One thing that was different than my previous dentist is that Dr. Nam didn't do my actual filling. She administered the numbing agents and then another person came in, placed and set the filling, and then Dr. Nam checked this. In my other experiences, the dentist always did the full procedure, so this struck me as slightly odd. Other than that, office is clean, staff is friendly, and both appointments took me nearly on time (within a 5-10 minute window) which I think is pretty good!

After the cleaning was finished I proceeded to check out, and was told that I was "all set" and that I didn't have a balance due. This was great news to me, and made sense because I had a coupon from a previous visit that I was told would be applied to this visit as well. On the previous visit I paid my bill in full when leaving the appointment. Unfortunately about a month later I received a bill in the mail for the visit, saying that I was 30 days past due, which was a nice surprise. When I called in to the office to ask about the bill, and inquire about the coupon I the woman I talked to was quite uninterested in explaining what was going on, was totally unhelpful, and was EXTREMELY rude, going so far as to cutting me off and hanging up on me. Although the service I received was great, I won't be going back to this dentist due to the shady billing practices, in addition to the rude office help. I would suggest others be wary about a dentist with shady billing practices. I would expect that kind of treatment at Walmart, but not at my dentist. I won't be going back.

Given that I was having some of the worst pain I have had in my life, I caved, and called Glendale Dental Associates at 2:10 pm, explained my situation and they told me they could see me at 3pm...as a new patient. I got there and all of the front desk/admin staff were really nice and friendly, then got in back and the hygienist was really awesome and nice, and she was totally in tune with keeping my pain free...bringing me cold water (the only thing that made my tooth feel better, etc). Then Dr. Cho came to take a look at me, and he was a super nice and down to earth guy, he didn't lecture me on my history of not visiting the dentist very often, lack of flossing, etc. His main goal was getting me out of the writhing pain that I was in. He laid out the plan of attack with two options, explained both, and was actually able to extract my tooth with the plan of replacing it with an implant shortly after. The procedure was painless, and Dr. Cho did a great job...and again...the whole staff was super nice the whole time. I had a preconceived notion, that when I finally did have to go to the dentist, that they would lecture me about the state of my mouth, that it would be super painful, and it would be cold and impersonal....(I had experienced this in the past)....but this experience couldn't have been more opposite.

Thanks to a delicious fudge covered cookie I was quickly made keenly aware that my teeth could no longer be ignored. Dr. Kruse is an absolute saint. I had a NASTY cavity (first in my life). This crew took excellent care of me. Due to my childhood issues, I was a nervous wreck and I'm sure one of the worst patients they've ever had. Fidgety, clenching, and just being a giant baby. I'm not kidding at all... I felt ZERO pain and still acted as though I did. (4 numbing shots and I felt none of them) They did their work, despite my childish behavior, and I feel 5 years younger. (Left there about 7 hours ago) I'd highly recommend Dr. Kruse to anyone. Friend or foe, it doesn't matter. This fella doesn't want you to hurt. I truly believe he just wants to make your teeth be all that they can be. They also have the coolest laser scan tool that I found endlessly fascinating. Dr. Kruse was kind enough to explain that to me as well. I have another appointment in about 10 days for my permanent crown and I'm actually looking forward to it. The Doctor here is very calm, takes the time to explain the procedure being performed and the process of discussing cost is smooth and painless and very clear. The dentist was very skilled in that even for a tooth extraction there was adequate local anesthesia to the point where I did not feel a thing. There were clear post operative instructions and the support staff including the assistant are both; knowledgeable, friendly, and very task and work focused.
