They have…read moretheir sign that says they close at 10, but maybe it was that day, or they were just out of everything, because the lady told me they only had two things left on their menu, so they decided to close up shop early maybe, I do not know, but the second time around when I finally was able to order something, I was not impressed. The best part of the meal was probably the seasonings they have sitting on the side of the counter where you order. I do not really know who works there. First there was a lady, then there was this kid, but the kid was sitting in the lounge when I first walked in and stood there for about 5 minutes at the bar before the lady in the back who was having a conversation with the lady who makes the food I guess came from behind and walked around to the register. Their menu has absolutely no pricing. I had the peanut butter soup, which was good, but a little disappointing because the majority of the meat was nothing but fat, and there was not that much meat in it honestly. The potato that was in it literally looked like that had just cut it in two and threw it in the soup. It was good, and not that bad portion wise, but if I had known it was almost $20 I probably would have gotten something else. I was hoping to try the hookah while I waited, but evidently all of the hookahs were in need of maintenance, so that was a bust. Would like to go back in the future, maybe when they have a crowd of people or something, but overall I was disappointed.

Everyone who ate the food had nausea, vomiting, and extreme diarrhea. One of my colleagues had to be admitted to the hospital and is going to civilly sue.. Price point: 0 stars: the price point doesn't reflect in the portion size, it's a rip off. Go to TOYIN further up the street. Cleanliness/Atmosphere: 0 stars: just don't even bother with this place. I understand some african people cleaning standards are different than others but this place is a dump. We were all crazy as hell for even attempting to eat our food and I'm surprised we all still alive. The temperature in there was just as hot as outside 07/31/24, that was my red flag. Fortunately after 1 bite I stopped so I didn't get as sick as my colleagues that were 3 bites in before they realized it was spoiled/bad. Overall: I wouldn't come back, this place needs to be investigated by the health department and my co worker that was admitted to the hospital is filing complaints and civilly suing.

We (three moms) were trying to appease our three respective girls, who wanted wings and burgers. We passed one spot, in favor of the restaurant next door to The Greedy Bunch. We decided to stay after perusing the menu. Everyone found an Irene they'd be satisfied with. Satisfied became an understatement when we received our food. Every item was fresh and delicious, from the lamb, wings, burger, rice and plantains. The owner was so kind and fun. There is a little patio outside that I enjoyed. The inside is small and quaint.
