I chose the Caprese salad with a delicious balsamic dressing. The fresh tomatoes with greens and hard cheese was outstanding. We also shared very crispy and hot. French fries that were wonderful. Sent back and they brought it back plain but then left the fries in the kitchen and forgot to bring them back. Pizza was entirely wrong and after multiple errors and no real effort to make it up to us or a manager to visit the table to apologize I didn't have it in me to return the pizza with canned corn on it. Pizza ordered and charged for was the higher priced chicken pizza. Just not a good experience at all. Lesson learned. When we normally visit Heidelberg we have other places we usually enjoy but this was a busy evening and was a spur of moment decision. Cafeteria food at best. Many other places to enjoy. Based on what he liked the last visit, the bartender has made a few excellent recommendations for my boyfriend and he loved them all. I myself am not much of a gin drinker but there are also beers, wines, and a variety of cocktails available. I normally dont order cocktails but I always get the Singapore Sling here. I noticed that when the drinks are made they use fresh fruits, which makes all the difference. You may have to wait to get your drinks but it is worth it! I sat at a tiny table for 2 persons with my boyfriend and it was okay to drink our beverages and to eat a slice of cake. Nevertheless, we occasionally wanted to check for some flights&hotels, but we had no space for our laptop. But that was ok after we found out that there wasn't the free WiFi that is described here.
