The decor would be "sweet" for a basement, but not too much for a bar trying to pose for a cocktail bar. I guess the fake tree is ok, but overall blah. And give me a break with the drink selection.... If I wanted grenadine or imitation rose's lime mixed with some vodka and pineapple juice, I'd go to a college party and not spend €8 per drink. The "cocktail list" is totally a joke - amateur hour is a compliment for this hot mess. However, some drinks come with gummy creatures, which makes up for maybe €1 of my complaining.

Code Bar put us in for three drinks each. Astonishingly, the bar is running with no menu. I'm sure they could make the classics, but we just told them what we wanted - something served up, a short or a long drink, or any combination of fruity, dry, smooth, acidic, or dairy-forward. No matter what mixture of flavor notes and finishes we threw, they delivered. And they adjusted drinks to our request as we sipped. The mixologists' English is great, too, so don't worry about not being understood.

It's the tiniest place, but it's always PACKED with people, yet nobody seems to mind. They would see the fully packed bar, but just push through, nevertheless. It's THAT good. My top favs are Dr. Smoke, Jimi Hendricks, 4 Shizal and one that's made with basil, I believe it's something Basil Smash. Excellent service, fantastic cocktails, tiny space, very cool music. Tastes like a blend of exotic fruit flavors and is a touch sweet - but not syrupy. Bartenders were friendly and served our party of four very quickly. For groups I recommend getting there early to snag the big seating area near the window. This way you can be inside but people watch the whole time. Would definitely come back again.
