On July 28, 2025, I paid approximately half of the total project cost to get it started. Installation began August 9, 2025. The first pieces were installed improperly, and the installer broke one of our glass window panes. South Texas Draperies said he would deduct the cost of the window replacement from the total bill, and he would find a different installer to complete our project. On August 19, 2025, the other installer fixed some of the improperly installed window shades and suggested how to remedy some of the other improperly installed window shades. I made a second payment to move the project forward, and soon thereafter, the final window shades were installed. However, the blackout shades were not installed properly. On September 16, 2025, the improperly installed blackout shades were fixed except for one end cap that was broken. John said repairing the broken end cap on the blackout shade would be a warranty repair. I called South Texas Draperies to get the schedule for the warranty repair on September 22, September 29, November 4 and November 6, but he did not provide a schedule. On November 18, the installer came to fix the broken end cap, but communications were not clear, so the warranty repair was not performed. On November 25, I informed South Texas Draperies that several of the shades were no longer rolling up and would need to be fixed or replaced. South Texas Draperies did not respond to my calls or text messages. Because some of the shades would not roll up, on December 3, 2025 our painters had to temporarily remove some of the shades so they could paint the windows. South Texas Draperies later claimed that the warranty was voided because the shades had been removed by our painters. On March 23, 2026, I came home to see one of the shades had fallen to the ground. That was the last straw, so I am writing this message to warn others.

I asked around our neighborhood for recommendations and my friend and neighbor recommended a local company. I also turned to Yelp for quotes. During my research, I found out I can just have the glass replaced and not the entire window, saving some money. One window replacement company recommended Budget Glass and Mirror. When I called them, Stephanie was so helpful and she provided an initial quote pending a visit from one of their installers. The installer came and took measurements and the quote was finalized. I had a local company come out the same week and their quote was about $100 more than Budget Glass and Mirror's. Payment was made and the glass ordered. Took about a week before ordered items were available for install and installation was pretty quick. We are very pleased with the work!

Yes, our new granite counters are beautiful, but (the amazing) Lizette and her crew's service blew us away! Truly professional, they knew what they were talking about, no shortcuts, and they were punctual every day... no, really! We have a fairly large kitchen with lots of surface angles. In fact, it took four long days to complete (morning until night) Something was bound to go wrong and we were ready for it. It never ever happened. When they finished each work day, they cleaned and vacuumed the floor and cabinets, and took their trash with them. As you probably know, this is basically unheard of in today's service world. I cannot say enough good things about Mena Stone Surfaces. Their quality workmanship, attention to detail, and overall service were impressive and frankly "refreshing" to say the very least. We met with Dallas and he he was very attentive and took the time to listen to our needs and than focus to show us what we were looking for etc. Didn't try to up sell us which is pleasant thus allowing customers to decide for themselves, yet taking his recommendations into consideration. Ironically, Cyndi was "off" that Saturday but she just happen to swing, so happy to have met her. She "chatted" a little bit and allowed Dallas to take care of us which we were ok with. On Monday we received the multiple quotes from Dallas since we asked for a couple of options. At this point, we've not made the purchase yet.. house is new construction so still a few months out. Triple R refinished and replaced my kitchen cabinets. They did an outstanding job refinishing…read moredamaged doors and baseboards and replaced some doors, and paint application is flawless with clean lines. I recommend. Details below. I used Yelp's Project feature to get quotes on this job. I called Triple R too asking for quote, and it took a few days for a return call. They visited to see potential job and quote, as did a couple of other companies populated by Yelp's Project feature. Triple R's price was competitive, and their service features, guarantee and availability was the reason I booked them. The process was explained at booking. The cabinet and drawer facings were removed. A few days later they provided a paint sample on a cabinet door so that I could see the true color of how the paint looks. I'm glad for the test because the colors were too light. We tried a darker shade, which took a few days to get, and that was much better. The kitchen is completely closed off for 3 days, and we were asked to pull out the oven away from the wall so they can spray paint. They put up a plastic shield, ceiling to floor, to spray paint boxes of the cabinets. The facings are done at the shop. We had no access to refrigerator, oven etc. Triple R's work also included installing new doors (included in quote) new knobs and handles (we provided), new soft close hinges (they provide) and new bumper pads (they provide). Overall job took 3 weeks. Most communication was by text. Triple R is a family business, so grace given that their Yelp profile is not robust (2 reviews). And grace given with black dust that is a residual effect of interior spray painting (no damage resulted, just had to thoroughly clean afterwards).
