The set was set up brilliantly along with the story.

And you might spend 5-10 minutes in the security line before the show. On site parking costs have increased over the years, and everyone leaving at once creates a backup, I've switched to using apps to park a couple blocks away. I can appreciate they don't want to support scalpers, but the no refunds/no exchanges for single ticket buyers combined with the fact the tickets aren't available until the day of show make it stressful to commit months in advance. This would be easily fixed by having a secondary face-value market and/or allowing same-show exchanges when availability allows.

Back then they allowed smoking and it was pretty hard to breathe at times. They would often do a non-smoking show on a late Sunday afternoon, but it never had the same energy as the other ones and the comedians tended to trash talk it. I've seen some amazing acts here over the years. And I very much appreciate how much they help develop up-and-coming local comedians. Yeah, there is a two drink and/or item minimum. This doesn't bother me. I'm not someone who really goes out to see comedy and NOT drink. Honestly, my biggest complaint would be the chairs being bolted down. It can get a little tight down there for larger folks. I totally get it, they don't have to keep moving them around back to position, and they can definitely maximize the space. So it doesn't always make it the most comfortable for me, but hey, I do feel that the staff go out of their way to accommodate people's individual needs. And speaking of the staff, everyone that I've interacted with here is always just the friendliest and most helpful person around. Particular shout out to Adam and Adrian, who always give me A++ service when I am at a show.

Always great to see what comedians specifically picked this place! I went for a Taylor Tomlinson…read moreshow where she was testing out new material! They partnered with a parking garage across the street where you could get discounted parking and then you just walk over so that's where most people park. I went for an earlier show so we ended up waiting outside in line before they let us in. You do have to pay for your tickets in advance online and then you pick them up at will call. The problem is the person who bought the ticket needs to physically go and show your ID so make sure that you're committed. It's first come first serve so if you want a good seat upfront, make sure you show up early. They also partnered with a restaurant next-door so if you eat at the restaurant, then you're guaranteed a front row spot. The Comedy show has a two item minimum. I really enjoy this because I don't drink so being able to get two items instead of having to get two drinks is a great option. This time around, I got the chicken basket that comes with fries as my first item and then a cookie sundae as my second item. Both were definitely overpriced for what they were, but besides that it was fine. Definitely order your food as soon as you sit down because the longer you wait the longer it's gonna take to get your order and when they start piling everybody in the orders tend to back up. They also take your phone when you first go in so make sure you have it on do not disturb and they'll also take your smart watch. They put them in the secured bags and then you take the bag with you so your phone is always with you. You just can't access it until the end of the show. Overall, I like this Comedy location because of the two item minimum. I just wish the prices were a little more fair. If they drop the prices, I would definitely order more than two items and probably still pay the same amount that I did for the two items that I had to pay for.

Yes, I'm definitely a fan of Cherry Creek Theater!…read more CCT is a relatively new addition to the Denver theater scene, and have just begun their second season of productions. They're so new, in fact, they don't actually have a traditional theater space. They partner with the Shaver-Ramsey rug gallery in Cherry Creek and hold their performances in the large room off to the side of the main showroom. The acoustics are wonderful, and the space works really well. The performance we saw was in-the-round, so there wasn't a bad seat in the place. They don't focus on one specific type of theater - you'll find dramas, comedies, even musicals. I suspect that anything you see will be quite good as they get some of the best acting talent in Denver, and do a solid job with their script selection. The CCT also offers refreshments before the show and during intermission, including wine, most of which seemed to just have a suggested "donation" amount. You are allowed to bring drinks into the theater - yay! They find places around the area (Whole Foods, for example) and bring in pretty decent bites. So, there you go - yet another theater in Denver you perhaps never knew was there. Check it out!

I was pleasantly surprised by how clever, risqué, and funny this show was. We attended the Alice in Wonderland show and it was the perfect mix of sexiness and comedy. We got the VIP seats right up next to the stage, but from looking around, it appears there are very few "bad" seats in the house, maybe a seat or two behind some columns. My friends and I laughed and clapped and cheered. The performances were top notch. The drinks weren't gourmet cocktails, but that's not expected. I got a pretty good sized mule and dark n stormy and my friend's husband enjoyed his many martinis. The performers were kind enough take photos with us at the end of the evening. So down to earth. I also had a great experience with their staff. Early in the year I purchased two tickets in hopes of getting a good table. Then months later, they introduced the VIP tickets right next to the stage. I purchased three of those (I had added two friends by then) and the company was kind enough to refund my two regular tickets. They were very prompt and professional in emails. Regular tickets were 50-ish, VIP tickets were 70-ish. Worth every penny. No photos or videos during the production, but they allow for some photos and video at the end. Also close to many restaurants and bars, essentially in a pedestrian district. We walked to a close by mediterranean place (reviewed separately) that was fantastic.

They have lots of drink options too and come around to take your order. I got the non-alcoholic Aperol spritz which was a little strange but that's ok haha. The show was hilarious, the venue was super clean, and both the audio and views of the stage were excellent. The only reason I'm taking off one star is the seating situation. Some of the floor seating consisted of what looked like basic lawn chairs rather than actual theater seats. For a venue like this, I would have expected something a little more comfortable, especially when paying for floor seats. Other than that, everything was great! Parking was surprisingly easy, with a parking garage conveniently located nearby. When I arrived, there were tons of people entering the theater, so I expected long lines for food and drinks. Surprisingly, the lines moved quickly, the prices were fairly reasonable, and I was able to grab something and make it to my seat without any issues. The theater was well maintained, the staff kept things moving efficiently, and the overall atmosphere was great. I had an excellent view of the stage, the sound quality was fantastic, and Gary Owen put on a great show! Overall, a really enjoyable experience at the Paramount Theatre.
