I have personally been there 3 times: once for a Deftones show (amazing!), a space show (amazing!), and a Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon/The Wizard of Oz show (amazing!). Each show was so different but all of them were great. I would highly recommend buying tickets ahead of time. Even though most shows do not sell out, there are some that are very popular and do. The tickets are $12 for adults.

The also have an annex for maker space and events a few doors further west. Today they had a fundraiser and art display in honor and celebration of International Women's Day. When I saw the announcement that the Handweaver's Guild of Boulder would be in the Annex demonstrating the weaving process and set up for patrons of all ages but especially children to try it out, I knew I had to go. In my younger years, I had been a member of this Guild and had done a demonstration with a group of weavers at the Denver Stock Show in 1975. I was hoping to hear what the Guild is doing now and hopefully run into someone from that era that is still active. And indeed I did. It's amazing work they do and the Gallery in the main building displays weaving as well as so many other arts. Paintings, drawings, jewelry, pottery, fabric designs, handmade cards, all sorts of art objects are to be seen and purchased . It's a very nice space and was very well attended on this holiday on a beautiful spring day. But nice stop in to the gallery anytime and look into the programs they run in the Annex. It's easy to find and there is street parking in the area and a bus stop 2 blocks away. And eateries in the area too.

There are some interactive displays, that some children will enjoy. The docent at the front desk was helpful. What challenged me was parking. There is none nearby. I guess this is true for most Universities. The GPS took me to the museum and with 2 toddlers in tow, I parked in one of the 6 non marked, empty spaces. Just to be sure I asked if I needed a visitor permit for my car, when I was told those spots were not for visitors. I needed to look for parking elsewhere. I found there was parking available approximately 1/4 mile away and across Broadway. That is an extremely busy street. There are no pedestrian crosswalks near the museum. So fairly good museum -- difficult logistics made worse on cool rainy days.

The only downside is having to pay for all the spots in advance-- understandable, but also challenging if someone cancels last minute. It's about $40/person before gratuity.

We drew color chips out of a hat to determine which team we would be on: red or blue. We then were led to a room with two large tables color coordinated and lights simulating a game show. NOTE: They sold drinks at the front and required you to purchase your drinks ahead of time before entering the room. The room had a small fridge to keep them cool. We played survey battle, match up wars, cups (not like you've seen) and more. Our team had a blast, cause we won. The blue team had fun too but wants a rematch. I'm sure we'll back for some redemption rounds.

It was peaceful, scenic, and a great way to experience the outdoors in a totally different way. The staff was so warm and welcoming--super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience and love what they do. We really appreciated the laid-back vibe and aloha spirit even all the way out here in Colorado! The railbikes were easy to use and surprisingly smooth. We pedaled through quiet farmland and open skies--it was beautiful and relaxing. But heads up: if you're going as a couple, it's a bit of a workout! We definitely recommend going with four people if possible to share the pedaling. It makes the whole ride a lot more chill and fun. Beverages and food seemed to be priced fairly but all we ordered was a coffee and a drink for my kid. I loved the areas for kids to play. The indoor area has arts and crafts as well as a little loft to climb up to. Outside the playground is huge. The slides are nice, there is a bus, a car, and a stage.
