Construction of the skate park(?) in the background
Christina L.

Perfectly mediocre. Finding the park was a bit awkward, since apparently the parking lot is "closed" due to construction. But we had seen a car parked at the park and the gate was open, so we drove past the glaring construction workers because it seemed better than parking on a busy road and trying to wrangle the dogs in and out of the car, though it did look like it wasn't a terribly long walk from the road to the dog park, so I guess that's nice. However, leaving my car where I can't see it in Lake Stevens isn't my favorite thing. The off-leash area looks pretty secure, despite a cute little troublemaker terrier climbing the fence a couple times while we were there. There were several water dishes l that another dog owner filled while we were there. Unfortunately, no dog fountains. The poop bags are some bags full of grocery bags someone has tied to a big tree and the garbage can is outside of the fenced in area, next to the parking area you're not really supposed to park in. It looks like it can get fairly muddy when it rains, but it was pretty dry when we visited. And I wasn't bothered by it, but there was a couple smoking weed while we were there. I realize others are bothered by it, so it seems worth mentioning. Anyway, our dogs had an absolute blast and I look forward to when the skate park or whatever is finished and the parking is open again for the dog park.

Small dog area.

No clean water source. Have to park too far away from where the dogs play. Very muddy in the fall, winter and spring

The dog area is also right next to a skate park and playground, with plenty of parking.

Lynndale Off Leash Dog Area - Poop, mud and a dirty area for dogs.

The worst dog park I have ever gone too! I've lived in many different city and states and this dog…read morepark was the grossest park I've been too. It's small, very muddy, no grass, poop left in multiple spots and around a very unfriendly community. My first time experience: I got into the park with my two dogs and already there, were 3 other women with their dogs. Well as my dogs were smelling one of the other dogs, they had their hackles up ( which I understand is sign of excitement, fear, anxiety or aggression). Well in response the women took her dog into the "small dog area". Minutes later the other two women did the same. Afterwards, all of their dogs started barking and lunging at my dogs through the fence as they were trying to smell. I ended up leaving shortly after, since I was shocked on how gross this park was and how unfriendly the owners were of these pups who go there to socialize.

But I did notice, the shopping center next to it has spots and there is a walking path to the dog park from there. Not sure if you there's any restrictions in that lot though. The dog park is separated into 3 sections: Section 1: the small space where you can unleash your dogs in a confined space Section 2: a small dog/shy dog area. Smaller space than the main area. Section 3: the main space where all the dogs are running around. Great space for the pups. It is a dirt lot and even though it was dry yesterday, the pups were still very dirty from their brief visit. I had a lil dog run up to me and it got dirt all over me. I mean, I don't mind. But I can imagine it getting very muddy if it rains. Overall, nice little dog park close to the house.

This was perfect for us to stop on a daytrip to Sequim. My friend's dog was getting a little antsy…read moreand we wanted her to get some of her energy out prior to going to the Olympic Game Farm so that she didn't jump out the window or something else at the farm. The dog park is separated into three gated areas. The smaller dog area is ample size to accommodate at least 50 dogs and their owners. The larger dog area is also decent in size. Both areas have water stations and covered benches just in case you want to sit down and watch the dogs play. The third area is for agility testing or for dogs to run the obstacle course. I will say that the majority of the dogs that were in the large pen were very friendly and kind of minded their own business. My friend's dog did get scratched in the nose as she entered though, so her nose was bleeding a bit but nothing major. The pens also come equipped with a few dog ball tossers and other toys to keep the doggies moving as well as doggie doo bags. I did sense a bit of community here as well as there were a few posters of dogs that have passed on as well as dogs that were lost were posted and several people talked about the dogs that passed on as if they were their own. Overall, a nice place to just let your dogs run.

Brought my kids along as I usually do because they like to play with their dog and they got yelled at to stop running by the "president" I told them they are fine and ignored her. Then the lady screamed at my child calling him retarded for running. Needless to say there were some harsh words from me and another mother. They quickly posted new dog park rules after this making it more of an elderly park. Another time a mans dog had taken my dogs ball which I don't mind I let the dog play with it for a while but then my dog (a Doberman) was getting frustrated because he wanted his ball. So I went to try and get it from the dog we struggled for about 30 mins trying to retrieve the ball from the dog. All while the owner kept saying good girl and cheering his dog on in this game of take away. Oh I should also mention I was pregnant at the time. The dog stopped at the owner many times and he would just ignore me and let his dog keep the ball. This park seems to have a stigma against my Doberman even though it seems like he's the one being nipped at by people poodles If you go in the evening though at dusk you can usually avoid the rude elderly and you and your dog can actually enjoy it. This is just two times there has been many more incidences.

So I decided to give this one a chance as it had fairly all raving reviews. From a first glance, when we first arrived, parking was very minimal and I'm not sure how well that would work if it were to be a busier day and time. The beginning area for dogs to play around was quite small comparatively to some other parks I've went to but I found that the focus is primarily on the trails. The trail itself was nice, pretty well-maintained however some of the fences are all bent and seem like a hazard if your dog was to be sprinting or kids were running and bumped into it. Though my shepherd is fabulous with recall, the area is not completely fenced off so there is a chance your pooch could find their way to a school or parking lot towards the top. We walked for about 40 minutes and everything was seemingly going quite well and we were enjoying ourselves. Until, we came back to the gate to leave. As I was approaching, I noticed two dog owners and their dogs chatting. As I was getting closer, my shepherd went ahead in front of me and out of nowhere, the lady's dog full force rushes my dog and bites her in the leg. As I'm rushing to go to my dog and make sure everything is alright, the lady just says "Oh we've just been here too long". Excuse me? Off-Leash places should have mannered dogs that don't just randomly attack other dogs. My dog was literally just strolling along and got trampled and bit until she squealed. To top it off, the other dog owner came over trying to comfort my dog by hugging her and holding her and I told him she's probably even more scared because you're a stranger to her and she's not getting any comfort from you, he completely ignored me. After this my dog was off all day, she was erratic and on guard when I went to my training class with the other dogs. So much so, that I had to take her outside for a break to calm down. People need to have well-mannered dogs and be able to control their dogs. My pup keeps to herself and doesn't provoke other dogs or cause problems. This should be every dog that comes to an off leash dog area, otherwise don't bring your dog or go get some training done.
