We spoke that we're next in line and, he stood like a deer in headlights. He then stated we were too far away and he is standing over here. The service was terrible. The workers were irritated the entire time. They gave one scoop for the portions too. Then they charged me for a large cup when I asked for a regular cup? It was my first time there so I didn't realize. I asked them if that was the only size , and the rude worker lied and said yes. I'm blind and can't see very well, so I wasn't able to see the menu very well, so naturally I asked questions. Which made the workers annoyed. Me and my friend dined in, and eventually this other patron came in. Her bowl was packed, and the employee was very obviously flirting with the patron. Does this bowl look half empty or half full? Well, if you answered anything with "half," you're incorrect because this was what I got when I ordered online. There was barely any rice or toppings, so I guess it was more like "quarter empty"! My recommendation? If you're ordering, make sure to just go in person. I often like to visit a place more than once before posting my review so I rely on more than a single interaction. In this case, I have no intentions of returning to this location, especially given the myriad of food options in the surrounding area. FLOW During lunch rush, it's a bit difficult to ask the, "Have you been here before?" question, so I understand why we just jumped right in at the counter. Something about the layout here doesn't work because you can't see the menu well while waiting in line, and the menu is text-filled as is and limited in choices compared to the numerous ingredients available. It helped to see the ingredients printed on the window shield as I walked, though I felt a bit pressured by the servers as I read them because generally servers offer help when they notice a customer looking new. It was the small things - like how the server seen confused himself about giving me a to-go bowl when I was dining in because they ran out of the plastic ones - that proved the lack of refinement here. CHECKOUT I was surprised the person at the register didn't ask me if I wanted a drink. She checked me out, and by the time I remembered their lemonade selection, it was too late. Honestly, I didn't get that warm customer service that made me feel comfortable to ask for a cup given how much I wanted lemonade. FOOD The grilled chicken was not cooked well to the point that I avoided quite a few of the chunks in my bowl. I had to pull my teeth on the piece of meat to take a bite from the large size one too many times. The individual ingredients taste good, though I didn't find them to be particularly fresh on this visit. That took away from some of the joy, especially because of how it affected the textures. The ingredients do mix well in the bowl and the concept of Cava stands strong. It's theme/identity seems a little lost on the workers and this location doesn't do a great job of representing the brand. The first time I went to Cava, I was gleaming about each individual flavor and every sip of my drink. I felt nothing on this visit and instead had no desire to finish my bowl. By far the best customer service I've experienced at a Cava location. I've been to a couple and other locations always lacked ingredients and/or utensils (yes, another location ran out of forks & there was no way guests could eat their meal). The food is always very good and fully stocked and ready to go. There was leftover rice and looked crispy and instead of giving me the bottom of the barrel, they asked if I wanted to wait 2 minutes for fresh rice & I gladly did. The ambiance was pretty clean and peaceful to enjoy the meal. The staff was pretty friendly and assisted me with no complaints. Will definitely be coming to this location more often! read more

I have a love hate relationship with Cava. I love their food. But I don't like anything else about the chain. This Cava has the same problem as the other locations. They have no food and the customer service is mediocre. We walked in and decided to order Harissa Avocado. They had no avocados. Ok no problem, I'll get lamb meatballs. They said it would take 20 minutes to cook a fresh batch of meatballs. Who do they think they are? Kyma? I looked at my watch, and it was 1 PM. People were lining up behind me. How could they be out of food already at prime lunch hour? They even ran out of chocolate milk for the kids. But this is not an unusual thing for Cava. It's like this for every location I've been to: grumpy service and no food available. Yes, the food is good. I always try to avoid Cava because they always annoy me in some way (long waits, no food, undercooked food, etc.). But the food quality (if they have any) always brings me back with renewed hope that they fixed all their problems. I was hoping this location would be different. Nope, it's the same deal. Cava can be one of the best fast casual chains if they want to. I would go at least once a week if they ran like Chipotle. But I feel like they are fundamentally broken. read more

I fell in love with CAVA at the DCA airport - so I was naturally excited when I heard the news CAVA was coming to Atlanta. I believe CAVA is replacing all the former Zoe's Kitchen locations. Normally I get a custom bowl but today I tried their seasonal Lemon Chicken bowl. LEMON CHICKEN BOWL - $10.37 Spinach, Romaine, Crazy Feta, Red Pepper Hummus, Grilled Chicken, Tomato + Onion, Pickled Onions, Cucumber, Lentil Tabbouleh, Fire-Roasted Corn, Feta and Preserved Lemon Vinaigrette. Whoa what's not to like in this bowl? I esp. loved the chicken, tomatoes, corn, red pepper hummus and pickled onions. I thought I might have leftovers but I actually finished - it was that good. Deliciousness and healthy at the same time. Everything was fresh and all the ingredients complemented each other very well. I'd definitely get this again. I arrived on a Saturday around 11:30am - so before the lunch crowd, therefore it felt safe to do dine-in. Employees wore masks. Staff is friendly. They need to update this...it's actually open now. My boyfriend and I decided to check it out because we love rice bowls, and this is a Mediterranean style bowl place. We were both really excited to come here, but it fell short of expectations. I ordered the harissa chicken. The rice was really dry, they were out of pickled onions, the meat I had was super dry...thank heavens for the vinegarette, the sweet potatoes my boyfriend got were super dry too. It's like everything was way overcooked. The condiments helped, but it really didn't impress me at all. Despite being starved, I still was super disappointed in the quality of the dish. I know they are new and maybe they still need to iron out some kinks, but all in all, it was not good. The price also was steep. Almost $30 ($29 and change) for some bowls with mediocre food. Even my boyfriend, who isn't as picky as me, didn't like it. I love trying new places, but this was a no for us. I did think it was cool that they have some ipads in there, but if I were them, I'd move them in a safer location where they could be watched. This place is spacious, and had a decent traffic flow given it's new, but unless they fix the food, they are sadly going to have a tough time making it. read more

TiK Tok did not steer me wrong with this one! I've heard people describe Cava as a Mediterranean Chipotle and I think it's a fairly accurate description except it's WAY better than Chipotle. I browsed the menu prior to arriving here and decided to make my own grain bowl. I got the saffron basmati rice with 1/2 honey harissa chicken and 1/2 spicy lamb meatballs. I added so many toppings and I can't remember everything, but some of the toppings were corn, pickled onion, tomatoes and cucumbers, Persian cucumbers and feta. I also added several dips (tzatziki, harissa & hummus) and topped it with the garlic dressing. I was a bit worried that I went a little crazy with everything I added in the bowl, but it was delicious. The staff was very patient and friendly. Looking forward to returning soon! read more

Would highly recommend getting these. 1/2 Grilled Chicken - pretty tasty, not too dry, would get again as a staple meat. 1/2 Meatballs - they don't give a lot. It's honestly just okay taste wise. Might recommend another meat or entree. Overall for ~$11 I'd eat this over Chipotle anyday. read more

June 2022* S U M M A R Y The employees in here do not seem to take their job seriously. I'm all for having fun but not at the expense of customer experience. The food was mediocre and the pricing was confusing. T A S T E Visited on a regular weekday evening to take something to go. It was my first time trying CAVA but I was excited because my friends seem to really like it and I'm a big fan of Mediterranean food and rice. I went for a rice bowl. I'll start by saying I was overwhelmed with the amount of options once you got to the toppings. I feel with the different flavor profiles things could go wrong fast. But mine turned out ok. Here's what I got: Base : Saffron Basmati Rice Spreads: Tzatziki & Hummus Protein: Harissa Honey Chicken Toppings: Romaine lettuce, pickled onion, Persian cucumbers, crumbled feta, tomato and onion salad, corn, pita crisps Dressing: garlic & hot harissa vinaigrette Overall it was just underwhelming. The flavor was lacking even though I had strong flavor profiles added. It was also difficult to get all of the various flavors in the bowl in one taste/spoon. The way they built the bowl they separate the toppings in sections and the spreads are on the bottom so unless you dump it out and mix it together you will not get the flavors that you're expecting. Next time I'll get a wrap. I feel it would work better. S E R V I C E This store seems to be run by a group of teenagers or very young people. I'm in my 20s myself but they seemed much younger than me. They were very nice but that's as good as the service goes. They unfortunately were pretty unprofessional. There were multiple dishes that they had run out of, which in my opinion just means nobody prepped these items. There were probably five people work on the bar but only three of them were working, meaning two could have been prepping. Example they had no more corn after me, no red pepper hummus and other toppings and spreads were missing. A M B I E N C E Very cute and very large. I love the light colors and the wall art. Once you get up to the Buffay bar, it is bomb pourable. Extremely messy. Extremely dirty. Nobody is wiping down anything. If I were the owners I would make a visit very soon and just remind the employees that cleanliness is important for ambience. I'm a little late but I have been dying to try Cava so this was my first time at any of their locations. Overall everything was great! It was around 1 pm when I arrived and I was surprised that there wasn't a long line to order. The workers were very friendly and made my meal fast. I got a create your own grain bowl with the harissa chicken and it was delicious! The drink/tea selection is also very nice and they had some really cool flavors to pick. The strawberry citrus was delicious! I was a little wary to try this locations because of all the previous reviews I read about service but I had a great experience and definitely would come back soon! read more

We came in here based on all of the yummy pictures I have seen for this franchise. It was on a Sunday right after church and was not super busy. You order at the counter and tell them exactly what you would like and there are so many choices. I had a greens and grains bowl with hummus and tzatziki on it and grilled chicken topped with a Greek vinaigrette dressing. It was super yummy. The employees were friendly and efficient.
