Would have given them 5 stars if they would have been a little bit more accommodating for my son who wanted a wrap. They serve them at lunch, I offered to pay more to have the kitchen do it but the server just said he wouldn't do it (he never asked kitchen). Putting meat in a wrap... Its in a strip mall/plaza sort of place, not fancy but definitely a sit down. Lots of booths and tables. I would be back.

I love tabouli and order it at every Mediterranean restaurant I go to, and this was the worst I ever had. The ingredients might have been off (either the ratio, or maybe something even went bad. It looked normal but tasted terrible). When we asked for cups of water (after spending upwards of $100) we were told they "don't do that" - because obviously they expect you to purchase bottled water. I find this to be unacceptable. Last but not least: we witnessed a cockroach crawling across the floor. One of the little German ones. Although not as scary as their larger, American counterparts, they still carry lots of germs that can make you sick, and when you see one you can assume there are many more close by. Would I be back? Hard pass. I'm sure I can find great hummus and chicken shawarma elsewhere.

We ordered the mixed appetizer and the famous lavas bread. To our surprise we got a flat, deflated pita bread instead. Lavas bread is a signature dish of Bosphorous so I called the waitress and asked why the lavas bread was deflated. Answer: must have a hole. The manager came around so I told him the same and added that I had chosen this place for my birthday and was looking forward to the round and puffy lavas bread but got a pita bread. His answer: some time that happens. Sorry but for a restaurant of this level, they shouldn't let their signature appetizer leave the kitchen if it isn't perfect. End of story. And at least the manager should have cared but didn't. Otherwise, my husband and I shared a mixed grill, my mom had a shrimp dish she liked and they did bring me a dessert with a candle which was nice. If I go back to Bosphorous it won't be this location. Parking was Ok but it was also Wednesday.

Unlike the venue in Hollywood, Florida, which is near our home, this one is larger and brighter and more spacious. The food is just as good and the atmosphere also is cheery and bright. We had the saganaki and the grilled octopus appetizers. Both were very good. Although we are used to cold, marinated octopus we thoroughly enjoyed this grilled version. For dinner, hubby had the lamb board and I had the slow-cooked lamb. Both were savory and satisfying, and we had enough leftovers for the next day's lunch. We were adventurous and tried the Galaktoboureko dessert, custard wrapped in honey phyllo. It was served warm, and it was sweet and creamy. Our server Rafael was very attentive. About the only problem we had was that the appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Say what? Nico, one of the managers, chatted with us before and told us he had worked at the Taverna Opa in Hollywood. After our meal, he stopped by to see if we liked this restaurant and even offered us a taste of mastiha, a Greek liqueur. Hubby doesn't drink, but I gladly accepted a shot (and really liked it). We had dinner around 6 pm and the entertainment was starting just as we were leaving a bit after 7 p.m. We couldn't stay longer because we had to catch a speaker. Dinner for 2 with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, tax, and tip was $137.

It was so dry I asked for the tzatziki but I had to pay extra, was really disappointed. Got the DIY hummus which you have to smash on wooden mortar with a pestle--not a fun of it either but ok, the flavor was there. The Lemon chicken was surprisingly good. The Pastitsio was the best, very rich in Greek cheeses. This was the best one from all that we've ordered. Service was ok, nothing special and the ambience was loud. Perhaps on another weekday it won't be this loud.
