CAVA is one of my go-to spots when I want something quick that still feels fresh and filling. I normally get the kids meal because honestly it's a really solid portion of food for the price. The chicken and falafel are both really good and usually what I stick with when I go. That said, I am knocking off a star because consistency can be a little hit or miss. There have been quite a few times where some of the ingredients, especially the rice, seem like they've been sitting out too long and end up stale or hard to eat. I also think the staff could be a bit friendlier at times. I understand it gets busy, especially during peak hours, but some employees come across a little abrasive. Overall though, I still keep coming back because the food is tasty, customizable, and a good value for what you get. read more

Had Cava delivered through Uber eats many times and portion wise and service its always been prompt. Decided to stop by this location being that I was by the area and was kinda disappointed to see and enjoy. When ordering the portions were very different to what Ive had delivered. The rice was hard and probably was the bottom of the pot which hurt my teeth every time I took a bite. The salmon portion was very skimpy. My son really wanted Salmon but he's very picky so for him its better to order the kids meal. Nobody said salmon couldn't be served until we arrived at the register. When he said kids meals couldn't be of salmon we said wed pay extra for the side of salmon. We got charged for a FULL BOWL. What a robbery. Never got our pita slice with our bowl. The food bar was a mess. Do not recommend this Cava If youre looking for what Cava is supposed to be like. Ambiance = clean your own table. read more

The concept is great if you're looking for healthier fast food options, and the service was friendly and quick, which I appreciated. That said, the dining area could have been cleaner during my visit, and the steak wasn't my favorite it had a very chewy texture and wasn't as tender as I expected. The flavors overall were still decent, and I like the variety of fresh ingredients they offer. I'd definitely be willing to give CAVA another try, maybe at a different location, because I do like the healthy fast-casual idea. read more

This was my first time at Cava. I've heard a ton of positive feedback from friends, so I decided to give them a shot. This location used to be a Zoe's Kitchen, which was one of my favorite restaurants in the area. It stinks that they're gone, but that's the nature of the business. I read that Cava took over all of their locations (there's even a Cava about five minutes from my house). The place was very clean, even during the lunch rush, which tells me they really pay attention to detail. I tried the steak and harissa bowl with brown rice and power greens as the base. Let me tell you......it was delicious. The fresh veggies and the combination of all the ingredients were amazing. I'm definitely going to get this bowl again on my next visit, but I'll try the lamb meatballs as the protein. Why 4 stars instead of 5? The steak was very overcooked. It was still edible and nicely seasoned, but too tough for me. I'll definitely update this review after my next visit. read more

Food is delicious. Restaurant is fast casual. The front of line staff person was so helpful tonight. He was very kind and guided us through ordering. He was patient and super helpful! Give the team some kudos - wish I had remembered his name. They were out of multiple things BUT we did come in at 10:10. I do wish they wouldn't start putting things away at 10, but having worked in the food industry I get there's lots to be done before closing. Will be back! I love me some CAVA, do you hear! I've been coming to CAVA for years, and they do not disappoint. In the very beginning, I would get some of their pre-made bowls, but shortly thereafter, I just started customizing my own bowls. I don't typically eat in-store, but the few times I have over varying locations, the service/staff have been kind, efficient, and accommodating with requests. The stores tend to be clean, and depending on the timeframe, they are usually quiet and pleasant places to dine alone or with others. During their peak times, the restaurant is fairly busy and I've even seen lines outside the door - but thankfully, they usually move pretty quickly. Overall, the service is good and quick. As far as the food itself goes, it is good and fresh, which for a primarily health-based cuisine restaurant is VITAL to the experience. I typically get a grains and greens bowl or an all greens bowl with chicken, extra feta, extra pita crisps, corn, pickled onions, tomatoes, and onions, and a side of pita chips. I usually alternate between the lemon herb dressing and Balsamic Date Vinaigrette, but both are great. Sometimes I add hummus to my order, but that is not usually my go-to since I tend to eat my pita chips alone without anything to dip them in. Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE when they offer their garlic pita chips, because I always opt for those, but the regular ones are just as tasty. Sometimes, I get one of their juices/lemonades, but that usually depends on my mood. Price points are reasonable. They also have a membership/point system that you can sign up for to earn freebies throughout a period. All in all, I enjoy CAVA. It's a go-to lunch (and sometimes dinner) spot for me. I recommend them to just about everyone. Definitely pay them a visit if you have not done so already. read more

The restaurant was clean, and had seating both inside and outside. Since it was a such a nice day, we decided to enjoy our bowls on their patio! I made an order in advance for pick up time of 2:30pm. It's now 2:57 pm and I'm still waiting in line for my order. There were 8 individuals that came in after me that went through the line, left and/or are currently eating. I'm confused? Maybe the concept of "pick up" is lost here. There's another gentleman who's pickup order was for 3:45 pm... he's okay with the wait... I'm not . I was actually in line and the young lady attempted to make my order and was told to handle the others in line. Due to the fact that I had "pick-up" I was needed to stand to the side. I like this Cava, but they never have enough people staffed. I don't mind waiting a little bit, but I feel bad since other customers get mad and don't like waiting. I will say, they almost always forget the side with my order, they are overwhelmed and I get that, the entree is always right and I never have an issue. This is my first time here, so far, very satisfied with the options for the menu with the staff, and of course with the food. I got an individual bowl, and I love the options that they have as well as their dressings and dips. This is perfect for a more healthy option other than the regular, however, you can make it as high carb or healthy as you wish. The food will always keep me coming back but service is a bit meh. My recent mobile order was kinda wimpy with my ingredients dancing around in the bowl. Def didn't seem like a normal serving. My dine in orders are always filled to the brim and quite satiating. Also, freebie pita was requested and included in my ticket yet was not contained with my sealed/bagged order which I inspected upon pickup. Flavors are top tier I have visited this Michigan location 3 times and each time my food is so delicious it's almost illegal for a fast food establishment. Rather you build your own meal or order a chef curated meal, both are amazing. Easy to order and easy to pay. Now, the not so good stuff. The line staff can be a bit impatient - it's like we get it, it's easy food however with all the delicious options you need time to build the meal that best fits your personal flavor profile so they need to relax and guide you through that journey rather than rush you just to get the line down. Pushy and kind of rude, no thanks. One worker even walked away and the cashier has to finish my bowl because she was rushing and distracted. Also, the soda station has been down for a month, what's up with that? Now, we're forced to get a seasonal in sweetened "sweet" juice - fool me once. They should consider putting out sugar, honey or agave that way we can add if desired. The place is mostly always clean but there are times a Lysol wipe down is needed. We are always looking for a good place for a great meal and surprisingly, had not tried Cava yet since we love Mediterranean food. It's a casual place, where you go through the line and build a bowl, or get a wrap. My husband and I decided to get a bowl to split, and a couple of sides to share. Service was apathetic, but we brushed it off to the dinner rush. I built a bowl with Falafel, SuperGreens, veggies, Saffron Basmati rice, pickled onions, pickles, tomato, and cucumber, broccoli, and for the sauces chose harissa, eggplant, and tzatziki. For the sides, we chose an order of pita, Crazy Feta, and Hummus. The Falafels were different than traditional Falafels, it seems that they made some flavored paste with a filler and added whole garbanzos. The sides were TINY, and the pita was fried. The eggplant in the bowl was delicious, and so was the Crazy Feta, but the rest? We were pretty underwhelmed. For the price we paid, I would have thought it would be better. All in all, we aren't fans. It is an assembly line of fast "Mediterranean" food. read more

This was our first time at any Cava location. My husband and I both built our own bowls. They offer great topping options and to our surprise most toppings are included in the base cost. The food all appears fresh but did seem to be a little lacking on the flavor side despite the range of options I chose. The service wasn't great. It seemed like an inconvenience for us to be there which isn't a great feelings. The inside was clean and well kept. Cava has really made its way as one of my weekly "go to" spots. This location is in the heart of SODO, conveniently located within the Walmart/Publix plaza. There is an ample amount of parking with easy access from the main street . The restaurant itself is brightly lit and modernly decorated. There is a good amount of seating inside and outside as well. The concept is a quick service cafeteria style like Chipotle... but it provides tons of fresh options. I always go with the bowl with greens/rice, the grilled chicken and literally all of the additional free fixings like pickled onions, olives, cucumber, tomato salad... the list goes on and on. Oh and you cannot forget about the best part which are the pita chips. When I tell you I literally crave those chips.. they are just that good! For the beverages they have craft sodas and fresh teas/juices. I like to mix my juices together so it's almost like drinking an aguas frescas. The service was top notch, everyone was so attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The line got long but they managed to get the line down very fast and efficiently. I definitely would recommend Cava for anyone who is looking for a light quick meal option. If you're in the SODO area make sure you check this place out! read more

I don't have a business background or work in the food or restaurant industry, but my mind immediately delves into many aspects as soon as I step into a chain restaurant. Who are their competitors in the US and abroad? What is the rationale behind their marketing and pricing? How much did it cost to build the location / how much are they paying for rent? Zoes Kitchen was the first thing that came to mind the first time I entered a Cava restaurant and, hey, my intuition (or probably an educated guess as I listen to too many business podcasts; gosh, need a life) was right. Cava had indeed acquired Zoes in 2018 and it looks like that was the right move. Food: 5 stars for the variety of bases (4 types of grains, 5 types of greens, you can do half and half), the fact that you get to pick 3 dips (very generous of them, they could have just gone with 2), and an abundance of toppings. You can get a heavy and diverse bowl AND a slice of warm pita bread (they weren't offering their complimentary pita at this location like I've seen them do in other locations; I asked about it and they warmed up a slice of pita for me, yay!) for around $11. Great bang for your buck. Ambiance: 3 stars at this location. It looked like the tables were not cleaned often, absence of napkins in the dispenser, and a freezing cold AC. Other locations that I've been to, one of them in Houston (and that one looked super nice), seemed superior in terms of maintenance. Service: 4 stars for friendly and fast service. I mean this 100% in a positive way and I applaud this chain for having a great menu of healthy and delicious options. I can't believe I haven't been here yet! As soon as you walk in your taken to a serene, calm ambiance. The restaurant has white pallet walls and the design choices for tables and lighting are minimalistic and relaxing. I got here around 1- which I guess is their busiest hour. The line wasn't too long sand it's my day off- I'm not in a hurry. I read on their website they have read and fresh fruit drinks- I would like to get the blackberry lavender juice; if available. In a small cooler before you order they have sodas, sparkling water, kids milk and apple juice. So when I began my order the lady let me know that they are out of a couple items. I got an arugula bowl with the spicy lamb meatballs, for toppings I got Kalamata olives, Mediterranean cucumbers, or and a tomato and onion melody with their red wine vinaigrette. I am so excited to try this when I get home at the food it looks lovely!! 10/10 read more
