The muhammara is so unique and addicting, if we didn't have a ton of food coming, I would eat 2 orders. For our entree, we split the family combo and ordered 6 add'l lamb chops because they are exceptional here. Cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned, these aren't the tiny chops you find at most places. These are huge, pork chop size and by far, the best entree on the menu. The family combo came with lamb chops, beef/chicken kababs, lamb/chicken adana, kofta, rice, salad, and more pita. With the exception of the overcooked beef kabab, all other meats were moist, tender, and really flavorful. Service was also very good on a busy dinner evening. Will return soon.

We ordered a bunch of different dishes, including cheese pastries, lamb pita, a big platter of five grilled meats, and several desserts. The Dubai pistachio cake was my favorite! The music was a bit loud, which made it difficult to have conversations at times, but overall, it was a great experience and a fun place to celebrate!

We had a reservation, which I'd highly recommend. The place was packed. It shares space with other businesses but everyone was at Cazbar. They had an amazing belly dancer, Crystal! She was really good. She interacted with the crowd. It didn't matter where you sat. She went around to everyone and even provided dessert with a sparkler to anyone celebrating a birthday. Very cool! Speaking of cool. They have iPads as their menu. Fancy! The "Topkapi torch" was really good. A spicy bourbon drink! I got two! I would come back just for this drink. We tried a few apps. The beef pastry was delicious. We also did a sweet potato dish. The beef was my fave! For my entree, I did chop chop, which came with chicken and lamb. I thought it was good but not really worth the price point! Our server was just ok. He seemed a bit distracted and wasn't super personable but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The manager was very engaging and friendly. We would visit again!

I would say this is more of a 3.5, rather than a 4 star review, continue reading ... The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out, with blue lights throughout. We loved that! We sat outside and were happy that the patio area wasn't very hot and that the nice large umbrellas protected us from the sun and were lit up when it got dark. We started with Saganaki, which included pita. It was flambed table side and delicious, we all loved it. We also had Calamari, I don't eat it but husband and daughter really enjoyed it. For entrees, husband had the special (filet mignon w/crab cake and shrimp on top), that came with mash potatoes and veggies. The steak was good but undercooked, the crab cake was good. Daughter had the pasta, she didn't really love it. I had the lamb shank with orzo. I don't usually like lamb but it was very tender and didn't have the aftertaste that usually comes with lamb. The service was very good, waiter was very attentive, replenished waters often and made good suggestions. Although we liked the restaurant, we felt that as a Greek restaurant there should be more Greek styled pork, chicken dishes. We also felt that some items were overpriced, specialty dish was $75, rib eye was $68, lamb shank was $55, roasted chicken was $39, etc. We will not return for another dinner, but might consider going for lunch to get gyros and Saganaki.

We ordered the 4 mezeh appetizer plate (4 8-oz containers). There are a number of choices and we got the baba ganouche, Mirza ghazemi (eggplant, tomato, garlic), pickled cabbage and beet hummus. Most were very good (I would say the weak one was pickled cabbage - crunchy, but not as flavorful as it could have been.) The beet hummus was a new item for us and we both enjoyed it very much. The dips were accompanied by a decent portion of triangles of pita. The pita was "ok" - a bit hard and chewy. We each got chicken kabob. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. I got mine in a platter with half salad and half rice. I enjoyed both. We also ordered roasted vegetables, which were one of the highlights. Onions and zucchini - roasted perfectly. The platter is a lot to eat and we took most of the dips home for another time. The staff were helpful. One person was friendly and the other oddly not. The restaurant seating area was comfortable.

One young woman was behind the register and the other our waitress. My wife and I saw this place by accident while driving to the nearby Ross store. Since I am Gluten sensitive, I know that most kabob foods are safe for me ... but I always ask. The two young women both truly understood "gluten free" and guided me accordingly. Since we wanted a quick lunch and not heavy meals, my wife and I split a Chicken Kabob plate. With 6 large chunks of perfectly prepared chicken, a small salad and a giant helping of very special rice (see below), there was plenty of food for both of us. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. If you are not familiar, it is NOT "HOT" spicy. just delicious. We have a wonderful Moby Dick's in Olney (about 2.5 miles from my home). We enjoy their food all the time. It is claimed to be "Persian." Maiwand claims to be Afghan. To me, the food is very similar in name. BUT, while both are delicious, there are differences. Maiwand's rice appears semi-fried and mixed with a generous helping of raisins and maybe shredded tomato (to be honest, I'm not positive - but whatever it is it blended into the overall flavor of the rice beautifully). Chatting with the two young women, we were happy to learn that there is also a Maiwand Kabob restaurant closer to us in Clarksville MD. We WILL be searching for it soon! They do a Sabzi dish that I want to try, as well as a curry and Jalfarazi daily specials that sound awesome. Overall, a wonderful lunch served with care by two wonderful people. At $16 for one, it is a bit expensive, but for two = very reasonable. I must note that eating out has become outrageously expensive everywhere! Finally, this chain advertises that their food is "Halal," the Muslim equivalent of "Kosher." This is important to many people!

I would order that exact bowl again anytime! There falafel was so good! There was a bit of spice that made your wasn't to eat more just to see if it's really there.
