Cava is one of the places that never gets old. If it's your first time I suggest the build your own bowl. You can choose a base (rice and/or greens), a protein, and toppings including hummus, and pickled vegetables. It comes with peta for free so make sure you get that with the bowl sometimes it gets overlooked but it is free with bowls! Service is fast and helpful they have good suggestions for sauces that may pair well with your toppings. Ambience is nice and open seats are usually available due to the amount of space. Pricing is not bad for what you get. It's a lot of food sometimes two meals worth for one bowl. It's fresh, fast, and worth a visit. read more

I like to "build your own" bowl in which I can mix and match my favorite greens and grains. There are plenty of dips and spreads, mains, toppings, and dressings to choose from. I would recommend the grilled chicken and Harissa honey chicken for some protein. I'm also a big fan of the free side pita that comes with each bowl. Although a bit pricey, the heavy customization and fresh ingredients are what make me come back time and time again. Having the CAVA app is a must if you are coming here regularly. Through the app, you can earn points, unlock perks, and place mobile orders. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel like this needs to be shared. About a month ago, I ordered a chicken dish from here, and shortly after eating it, I became extremely sick. I experienced severe nausea and ended up vomiting multiple times that night. The symptoms were bad enough that I had to call off work the next day. I'm not someone who gets sick easily, and this was the only questionable food I had eaten, so I'm confident it was caused by the chicken from this restaurant. I hope the management takes food safety and handling more seriously moving forward. No one should have to go through that after eating out. read more

I ordered to pick up to avoid wait time. However, I'm not sure if this was the reason why my bowl and pita bread were all cold. The rice is cold, not even lukewarm. It tasted like it was cooked and stored the in fridge and did not even bother to warm it up. The pita bread is only 1/4 of a full pita bread, very thin and it is not warmed either. Flavor wise, it is still very good. Also, the veggies are very fresh and grilled steaks are flavorful and cooked very nicely. The portion is quite small with the price charged (again not sure if it's because I ordered online). I would give an overall 3.5/5. I've been seeing Cava for a while now. But seeing as I haven't been a fan of Chipotle in almost five years now and everyone describing Cava as a Mediterranean Chipotle, I haven't really been all that interested in giving it a shot till now. What I found was kind of good. I liked all the options for proteins they have, especially the seared lamb and spicy lamb meatballs. The options at Chipotle were never too exciting and pastor is my favorite Mexican meat and all they ever offered was chicken pastor. But lamb? Lamb is one step away from goat, and I love goat in a pita or burrito. The spicy lamb meatballs were great. The pita wrap was great and all the fresh veggies were great. I would definitely order this more if it weren't so expensive. It's just hard to justify $15 for one item and no sides. That's venturing into what a good trout or steak frites at a local food joint would cost you. The service was good except for the fact the employee kept having the meatballs roll off the pita and not be replaced. I could have had six meatballs, but she let two roll off--one into the veggies and one into the checked bin behind the counter--and she didn't even offer to replace them. That leads me to think I should've had 33% more meat on my pita if I had a more coordinated counter jockey. The space is nice with a lot of tables and that 80% occupancy line I try to seek out in a fast casual joint. I get the sense you could just pull a book here after your meal without a problem. That's a good thing, when a place is more interested in providing that great customer experience instead of trying to keep turnover rates high. As it is, I don't know if I'll come back often to Cava. I'd have to know the next spicy lamb meatball pita might have the protein packed into it that it deserves and that $15 won't feel like prohibitively over-priced every time I walk in. All the hype on socials i was so excited to try CAVA. this was the closest to me coming from an evening soccer game in the area. location was good near other shopping stores and food places. inside was clean and looked pretty organized with it being busy walking in. i ordered the Harissa Avocado bowl there's a line of workers to get your order down and build your bowl. when it got to the 3rd person where toppings were she asked me "what toppings do you want" i answered her i ordered the Harissa Avocado bowl. She looked confused, the guy before her on the work line told her what to put. then i noticed she didn't add avocado, i asked her about it and she told me it would be extra with an attitude. so then i asked "is it called the Harissa Avocado bowl just because ?" Again her colleague helped her to correct her. i can understand it was busy and maybe fairly new. But to have an attitude is just not going to be tolerated. As a first timer this ruined my experience and the excitement to try w/ all the hype. I think her name was Isabelle, the name tag had other designs it was hard to read. finally got my order right. everything was good as far as flavor. One of my favorite spots for a quick grab and go and I was able to introduce CAVA to my wife as well. Similar to Chipotle, there's plenty of ingredient options, ranging from veggies, meats, various proteins, etc. The selection is endless which makes the bowl very customizable. Price maybe $20+ for a standard bowl but it's worth as the staff fill up the bowl tons. Quality of food is great and very delicious. Each bowl includes a free side pita bread which is a nice touch, a delicious touch to the meal. It's honestly such a nice food option after workouts as they provide tons of macros, protein, and healthy options. Overall, this spot is great, staff is friendly and quick despite how busy this spot can get. They have a separate staff for the online orders which streamlines workflow, and they're also quick as well which is great for to go orders. This specific spot is great, located at The Shoppes At Chino Hills, it's almost always very busy in which I recommend ordering on their app to avoid wait times. arrived a bit earlier than 10:30 a.m., and when it hit 10:30, their posted opening time, I went to the door. Even though I could see several employees inside, they decided to start a meeting right at opening and didn't unlock the doors until about 10:45. There were three of us waiting outside, all trying to get in and out on our lunch break. I was the first in line, but still waited another 10 minutes before they took my order and made my bowl. The portions were really stingy, especially the protein, they barely gave me any. The inside of the restaurant looked clean, but the bathroom needed some attention, and the soda fountain wasn't working. When I mentioned it to one of the employees, she seemed annoyed that I even asked and just said "give me a minute," which came off a bit rude. Overall, not a great experience. Really love cava as it's pretty solid. It is on the saltier side if you're watching the salt just be careful. One thing I don't like it is the very sticky floor for some reason. I still don't like the pick up area is right in front of where the fountain drinks are and there is really no line separation at all. I've stopped by Cava once last week and again today so I'm officially in my "pack no lunch era." If you're looking for reliable food Cava is now my new go-to. Cava is always fresh and absolutely delicious. The bowls hit the mark with bright flavors and solid ingredients. It's definitely worth paying attention to your bowl at the line though and asking for a little extra if you're feeling peckish. The location is surrounded by other great eateries, which makes the parking lot busy all the time and the line can move a little slower than I'd like especially at the register. I think that is where the holdup is. There isn't much hustle so if you're on a tight lunch break (30 minutes like me) timing is everything. I've learned to swing by around 11:00 am to beat the post-11:30 rush. Just pace your visit to beat the peak times, and you'll be golden. read more

First time coming here. It's exactly like Chipotle, except it's Mediterranean food. I LOVE it. I had the build my bowl. Everything tastes so good together. I love the "mouth-feel" every bite. Flavor was rich but balanced with refreshing cucumber and other things. Because I have the braised lamb and the added avocado so my order was $21 and change. Quite expensive. But the braised lamb was so tender and juicy, not dry at all. Avocado was creamy. My only criticism was that the music was too loud. It's hard to have conversation. read more

I had lunch at this restaurant today. My daughter and I had two chicken pitas and a salad. I counted 8 pieces of chicken, a few pieces of lettuces, feta cheese and olives in the pita. The salad was served in a small plate which was half full. For the amount of money I paid I feel this meal was over price. I Asked for a print receipt and apparently they runout of paper, the cashier promise to take my receipt to the table but she never did. Also the floors, the seats and the tables were dirty. Nice clean restaurant with lots of seating. Parking is plentiful as it is located in a shopping center. Lots of workers so line moved along pretty quickly. The food is good with a wide selection of protein, vegetables, and sauces. I appreciate the choice of customization or choose an existing menu bowl. But our last two visits have been huge let downs. one because they forgot to give us the pita bread, cava is not the same without the pita bread, we live 30 mins away so driving back wasn't an option! And this last visit I asked for spicy lamb, and the girl asked if I meant shredded lamb, I said "no the round one".... I then found out she gave me something called falafel that looked similar to the spicy lamb. Completely ruined my meal!!!! The falafels were not only dry, and bland, but they were cold, like they'd been sitting out for hours. Not at all what I asked for, I don't even think it has meat in it. Idk what's changed in the past 2 months, but their staff isn't as attentive when completing orders. I didn't even eat the falafel's, just threw them out because they were not even appealing. The restaurant itself is always somewhat clean, however I wouldn't recommend sitting at the tables with the bench seats thought. The bench seat are always and I mean always sticky! I've been eating here for a while and order online often, but today my spicy lamb greens & grains bowl (ordered around 3-4 PM) was unacceptable. The brown rice at the bottom was completely hard and inedible. I hadn't realized this before mixing since it was at the bottom, and once I did, the entire bowl was filled with crunchy rice bits. This experience was extremely frustrating. We were overcharged for avocado and a half harissa chicken, and I immediately called a staff member over to point it out. She told me to go to the register for a refund. However, when I spoke with Jennifer W., she rudely shifted the blame onto me, claiming I should have shown the food right away and asked for a manager -- despite the fact that I had already involved an employee who could have confirmed the mistake. Instead of taking responsibility for the overcharge, Jennifer was dismissive and defensive. They voided the entire transaction and re-rang it, but then failed to apply the combo discount, effectively overcharging me a second time. Customers should not have to argue to correct billing errors, nor be blamed for a staff mistake. *Double-check your receipts.* I can guarantee you they are overcharging many people! read more

I never go to this Cava because the tables were always caked with filth. I started getting scared if they cant clean tables how clean are they behind the counter with food. Not to mention the B rating they had received last year. They deserved a D rating. Its shameful that management isnt on sight all the time to make sure quality, cleanliness, and great customer service is taking place. Cava has such a great product. However the management isnt there to make it happen. I was going to try again after i think 6-8 months not going but I see a review someone got very sick from the chicken. When we went in person, there were only 5 people ahead of us and the line still took 45-50 minutes to be able to order during an off lunch time. On top of that, multiple items had been out for at least 20 minutes and customers had to ask repeatedly for the staff to make more. Even though the customers were willing to wait even longer for their bowls, certain staff kept asking them to pick something else. Then, we tried pickup to see if that would be better, and it was not. Our entire order was made incorrectly. The veg falafel bowl for me had chicken and the chicken bowl had a different meat in it. As much as I love CAVA, this location is just not it. The service continues tp be awful and unreliable. Love CAVA, but pass on this location. read more

I love CAVA--it's such a healthy yet delicious meal! I'm really glad that a location opened near me. The hot harissa chicken is my go-to protein because it's so flavorful. I've been to other CAVA locations as well, but my only complaint about this one is that the tables are always dirty. I visited earlier today, and while the cleanliness seemed slightly improved, there were still some crumbs on the tables. Previously, it was a complete mess--not a single clean table in sight. As someone who values cleanliness and organization, especially in a dining environment, hygiene is extremely important to me. That initial impression of dirty tables has stuck with me, which is why I prefer to take my order to go. If I do have to dine in, I place a napkin under my bowl because I just don't feel like the tables are clean. Otherwise, the service is great, and the staff is friendly. read more

(August 22, 2025) Ambiance: This establishment is located within The Shoppes in Chino Hills. The parking here can get a little crazy tbh, especially when in lunch and dinner time hours. Don't be afraid to park farther than you have to get to any destination here. It's apart of the gig and think of it as a way to help you build up your appetite. Inside the establishment itself is quite spacious and open. There's also plenty of seating with 2 and 4 tops available. I like the interior design of the kitchen set-up because of its openness for you to see the kitchen and everyone working and doing their part to contribute to the success of the day. It makes it comforting to see how many people are working toward ensuring we as the guest have good food coming our way. The ordering takes place from left to right within the restaurant with a TV Screen menu overhead to help guide you along. (See pictures) Of course, you have their trusty staff to help you as well. Service: The staff there were quite friendly. I was welcomed first by the MOD (Armando). You could tell by his work ethic that he has passion for the place, the people and wants to provide the best food and service for the guests. I was helped with my order by Gianna and Monica. I had told Gianna it was my first time and she happily explained how everything works with such nice courtesy and professionalism. It was most appreciated. It was finished off nicely with a cheerful smile and demeanor by Monica with the transaction. Food: The food here at CAVA is quite delicious. You can see in my videos and photos that I enjoyed it. The ingredients are fresh and the quality is top tier. I had ordered under the Chef Curated Bowls section and got the Fan Favorite Harissa Avocado Bowl. This bowl comes with (Harissa Honey Chicken , Crazy Feta (R), Hummus, Feta, Avocado , Corn , Cucumber , Pickled Onions, Basmati Rice, Greens, Harissa Vinaigrette.) I know right?! So many awesome things! I opted in to get a soft drink and was able to try all the refreshing choices they had to offer. Each option had its own refreshing characteristics to it. I'd highly recommend you try them all for yourself. The Main Root soda machine was delicious as well. They had a really cool blueberry soda option that was enjoyable as well. Went here during lunch and the line was long! Adam, Parker and Lily were working the line and as busy as it was they kept it moving efficiently while answering my questions.
