I love Mediterranean food and I've heard of CAVA but have never tried it until now. This is like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, but better, IMO. You can pick from having a bowl, or a pita sandwich. I opted for the greens and grain bowl (got the lentils) with grilled chicken. I loved the variety of toppings that were available like hummus, tzatziki, corn, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions, and the dressings were great too! If you like spicy, you can kick up your meal a notch by getting the hot harissa vinaigrette. The food tasted really fresh and I loved the pita bread that came with it. If Mediterranean food is your jam, you should definitely give this chain a try! read more

Looking for eateries with vegan options in Boston is not as simple as you might think. Simple swaps like tofu instead of chicken, for example, were not common. I was very happy to find CAVA in the Back Bay area. It's basically Mediterranean fast food done well. It's a bit like Chipotle in how it operates, but not Mexican. I ordered a make-your-own bowl with favorites like brown rice, falafel, lentils, arugula, hummus, veggies and pita. One sister ordered a pita wrap as listed on the menu and the other ordered a falafel bowl as listed. Portions were generous and I couldn't finish mine. Everything was very fresh. Seating was limited on the main floor of the store in Back Bay, but there was outdoor seating and an upstairs. The food preppers were knowledgeable about their products and great with suggestions. I found a site that suggested CAVA was coming to Omaha in 2026. I'm hoping that is true. read more

CAVA is always a great option for when you're looking for a quick grab & go lunch! I honestly always forget that there is a CAVA right by the Sak's in Prudential and tend to go to the one outside, down the street. Not sure if it was just the day I went, Saturday afternoon, but service was very slow and only one person was working the front & making the bowls, one bowl at a time. I ordered my usual bowl, with arugula and saffron rice base with harissa honey chicken & lamb meatballs for proteins. I like to add corn, tomatoes, feta, pickled onions, and cucumbers, as well. For dips, I typically go with the tzatziki, eggplant, & crazy feta and for dressing, I opt for the garlic. Overall, I enjoyed my bowl! I did notice that the portion sizes here are definitely not as generous as you'd find at any of the other locations, including the ones in the city and even the one down the street. read more

Amazing make your own salad place! So delicious! Very busy for a 2:00 late lunch, which I think is a good sign! Location was perfect, right in downtown Boston. I enjoy visiting Cava when I get the chance, but I don't think I'd re-visit their Prudential location anytime soon. The food is tasty and service is pretty quick, but I was just very disappointed with the portion sizes here. Anytime I order a salad or bowl at other locations, it's usually enough for at least two servings for me. When I ordered the Steak Mezze Salad on my visit, it was barely enough for one serving. Although there are healthy options, when you're vegan you should be able to get more veggies for less money. I based my visit on a friend's recommendation of a fast and healthy lunch option, and Cava delivered on both fronts. I ordered the Lentil Avocado bowl, one of the meat-free options. The serving of avocado was generous, but the bowl was very light on the rest of the ingredients. For example, I only received two small falafels and a sprinkle of lentils in my bowl. I also wasn't a fan of the contrast between the soft, overcooked carrots and the crunchy raw Brussels sprouts + cabbage. On a positive note, the service was very efficient and friendly. CAVA Prudential is my favorite food. CAVA in the Prudential building has the BEST service out of the many locations in and around Boston! Today, Sunday, 10/27/2024. I went to get a salad bowl the line was moving when observed the staff there were only two in the entire restaurant. Alex was replenishing food and making orders. Jose was cranking out the orders for those of us in line. As I was making small chatter and being appreciative for their smiles and swiftness, I asked where were the others who are usually there working, and it was sadly confirmed that it was only the two of them. I was again thankful and give a shout out with high regards and BIG THANKS to Jose and Alex for their professionalism while SHORT very SHORT STAFF.
