I used to love CAVA, but I think the quality and cleanliness of this place has gone way down. I came here one day, and they ran out of the tzatziki and many other sauces when I came. Not only that, but an employee sneezed while making my food and barely covered his mouth. I also noticed some employees were not wearing gloves and I genuinely felt uncomfortable eating my food just because the sanitation of this place is nonexistent. On top of this, they ran out of lids and used plastic wrap to cover my food instead. I would usually make the splurge on CAVA even though their portion sizes are way too small, but not anymore. read more

Think of this as Verts (or Noon) 2.0. Cava offers way more options in all aspects of the assembly line, from grain to dressing. I ordered the Grain & Greens bowl which came with, to my delight, a complimentary pita (which was a bit cold.) It was great to have the opportunity to build a healthier base for my bowl, and I'm excited to come back to explore further base options. I was a little disappointed at the blandness of the falafel I ordered, but the dressings I got (lemon herb and red pepper) definitely helped out in that area. The only thing holding this place back from (in my opinion) a 5-star review is the quality of the meats (and veggie options) provided - they could be better cooked, and the general coldness of everything in the bowl. read more

Salad lovers rejoice! At this spot you'll find many different greens options for the base of your salad. You can also mix and match with grains (I recommend the lentils). All of the proteins are well prepared and tasty. The friendly and courteous staff sent this experience to the next level. I definitely recommend to give this place a shot. I have come here twice with friends and both times i have loved the food. The service is friendly and they offer a large variety of choices. The food can be a little pricey, but honestly the kids meal gives a good portion of food for a reasonable price. I highly recommend the harissa, tzatiki and hummus as well as chicken for the protein, it'll go well with anything you add. Drinks are non traditional as they have options such as watermelon juice, sweet tea, and other citrus infused drinks, as well as the standard fountain drinks. Only complaint is that the water is carbonated and there's no non carbonated option. read more

This place is awesome! We were in town for a campus visit oh, and while I'm not a vegetarian oh, my daughter is. We were looking for a good salad and this place had Mediterranean fast casual. My pita had a combination of chicken, roasted veggies, hummus and a variety of sauces that made this so far the best meal in Austin. Great food and great price. Will be back for sure! read more

I ordered curbside pick up yesterday for a business lunch. The number to call the store was not working, so I went inside. I got my order and left but a meal was missing and there was no plastic wear. I was unable to call the restaurant to get the missing meal, and I didn't have time to run back. I sent an email to their customer service and they sent me a coupon for a cookie??? I responded that I just wanted to be refunded for what I paid for but did not recieve. and they just told me they wont do that because that's their policy. I don't see why the policy would be to keep the money for food you didn't make. Terrible customer service!! read more

I got a brown rice arugula bowl with falafel, tzaziki, eggplant dip, and several toppings. The falafel was very chewy which was different, but good. The portions weren't enormous, and I liked that they offered a half grain half green option. I also liked that the toppings were unlimited. Everything seemed fresh and well-made. I came here once shortly after this place opened some time ago and I had an alright experience. I recalled the prices being a bit higher and the food being the same quality as similar places such as chipotle. However, I went again just 2 days ago and my mind has completely reversed. For $20 and some change I got a good size bowl with a pita on the side both my girlfriend and I. The food was pretty filling and I saved a small portion of the meal as a snack for later in the day. There was a lot of great options in bases, sauces, toppings, etc. The grain bowl was very filling and provided a lot of variety in this alone. The worker who served us at the time was great. She was humorous and gave us quick answers to our many questions. The restaurant was very clean and definitely one of the cleanest on campus for eating. The back of the restaurant has shuffleboard and a foosball table so you can play games while waiting for your food. Loved the atmosphere, food and entire experience and will definitely return! read more

My daughter loves Cava and likes to eat there whenever we visit Austin. Both visits this year were highlighted not just by good, healthy food but for staff that goes above and beyond for their customers. I am mainly speaking about two interactions I have had with Andre. Both times Andre went out of their way to make our visit amazing. The last visit which prompted this review Andre ran to a nearly coffee shop to get Splenda for my husband's iced tea. One in particular (a younger black woman) gave me and my girlfriend such an attitude (sighing, rolling her eyes, leaving mid service to talk to coworkers) that I almost left. I have been hoping for a Texas location of Cava after eating at one of the restaurants in Washington DC two years ago. I really enjoyed my dinner tonight. The service was terrific - everyone was welcoming and helpful, and I was so glad the food was just as good as I remembered. Everything is so tasty and really healthy. A had a greens and grains bowl with chicken, roasted vegetables, hummus, tzatziki, cucumber salad and olives. It was terrific. The watermelon mint drink was delicious.
