Overall, it's a really cute idea and I appreciate the cause behind the thrift store. They have actual cats up for adoption in the back. Overall, the store itself is a little bit chaotic because there's just so much stuff. All the clothes seem to be just thrown onto hangers and not necessarily organized by size that I could tell. Some of it was relatively organized by type of clothing, and there was a kid section, a men's section, and a women's section Their prices were kind of hit or miss to me. Some things were reasonably priced in the brick rack section but other times you'd get other items that were like $15 which didn't make sense to me. (See photos) Same goes for anything branded they definitely give it a higher tag. For example, I liked a sweater Forever 21 and it ended up being like $14 so I put it back. Furniture was same- $100+ for a small shelf then dropped to $80 but I wouldn't have spent that much at a thrift shop. It's not an antique store in my opinion. The employees were nice and greeted me as I came in as well as when I left. CFP is an amazing thrift store with a wonderful mission. I frequent this store often and they always have a very wide selection with amazing pricing. Their staff is very friendly for the most part and usually they are willing to help if needed. I will say, it can be a bit overwhelming if it is your first time there, however they are one of my favorite stops in the area. read more

Tried to come and take a look. Arrived 15 minutes before they close. I've done this at plenty of thrift stores and have never had an issue just as long as I'm out before they close. When I walked in I was immediately told by the staff that they close in 15 and I asked if I could just look around and they said no they close in 15 minutes. I walked out and they immediately locked the door behind me. I then sat in my car for 5 minutes to take a car and the workers kept coming to glare at me. This is so incredibly rude and I hope the workers here can learn some manners. Also hopefully the store can get some better employees who won't kick people out 15 minutes before closing . read more

I used to love coming here, but I've noticed a decline in the last year or so. It smells so bad, like hoarder house bad. I get that there are cats in the store and that it's a thrift store, but it's at an almost unbearable level and way worse than it used to be. The smell clings to anything I get from here, and I've had to wash clothes twice. Also, a lot of items are marked up beyond reason. I've seen someone try to buy a small mass produced jar from the 2000's that was marked 2.99, and the guy at the front stopped the transaction and said "anything with a lid is going to be at least 5.99". When I dig through clothes and finally find something nice, it's usually marked up to $12 at minimum. I get paying a premium at a vintage or antique store, but when you have to personally dig through everything in a crowded, smelly building those prices are a lot less appealing. I saw a piece of broken furniture marked at $250 with a note saying it was $600 on eBay. A quick google reverse image search showed that that item was in perfect condition and came with free shipping (for something that was roughly 40 pounds). If 50% of the effort looking things up in eBay went into cleaning the store, I'd come here more often. As it stands, this is the worst thrifting experience in Raleigh at curated vintage prices. read more

My special needs daughter was in the thrift store and didn't see a sign that said employees only. one of the employees yelled at her that it was for employees only. The rude employee barked that she should've seen the signs. Mistakes can be made, lady. I don't recommend this store to anyone. There are safer spaces that do the same thing. read more

Love it, love it, love it. Once I came here I decided I am NEVER going back to Goodwill. Support local thrift stores instead of big unethical chains that price-gouge! Anyplace that loves gays and animals is gonna get my support. Cat was with no food or water and in a cage that was just barely big enough to have a bed , litter(dirty and clearly not cleaned in days) and 2 bowls . Cat was an older, over weight cat and mabey didn't need food all day but water needs a to be available to her ALL day. There was 2 ladies around and one sorta sounded like she was training the other. Not sure if that even makes sense, being that the cats are clearly not being taken care of. I asked them both if they were the ones that feed them and they said yes." We are doing that now" then I said.. well that one cat has no food or water.. the one girl thanked me and turned around and they both walked away. After that my husband and I were spending 0 dollars and I honestly w iah I could have taken all of those animals. Someone in charge of those animals that DOES NOT work in the store need a to check on those cats ..now! Pretty pissed. read more

Very reasonably priced items, especially for small home appliances. Better than what I've seen when looking at Goodwill and the Salvation Army, and I've been to several different stores throughout the state. It's also really great that all of the appliances have been tested, much better than most thrift stores. I'm very happy with my purchases and will definitely be back. A great find right outside of Downtown Raleigh! LOTS of clothes and some relatively trendy items (must be donations from NCSU or Meredith..). What I was most impressed with was the amount of goods which includes a decent amount of sporting goods, household goods, furniture, and LOTS of old board games! The staff there is the least helpful of any thrift shop around. Most of the knick-knacks aren't priced and when you bring them to the check out they won't sell them to you. So you've wasted all the time you spent looking for stuff you need because when you find it you can't have it. Prices are okay but not any better than other local shops. Lots of items with the tags still on, everything super-clean and organized. Nice sporting goods selection and good on vinyl too, for the audiophiles out there! Staff was just the right amount of helpful - friendly but not overbearing, and honest when I was trying to figure out if a short-sleeved Ann Taylor sweater with the tags still on was right for me or not. Had a great conversation with the clerk checking me out - showing my phone with a picture of my cat on it got me a 15% discount. They normally have kitties in the store, but they found their forever homes yesterday, so we chatted about that, too. Also, new specials - Monday's Ladies' Day, Tuesday's Mens' Day. The store is very organized and neat but their prices are a bit high especially on the used electronics. Some the prices were pretty close to retail. I noticed that some clothes with tags still attached were overpriced too. I saw a Mossimo (it's a Target Brand) dress for $13 today. The retail price on the tag was $24. I got turned off and left. This is a huge thrift store where your purchase helps animals, and where you can also say hello to adorable kittens while you shop. I think that in itself is a great reason to go. Oh, you wanted to know more? Well, okay. This place has everything from clothes and books to large appliances. Some of the prices are slightly high (we bought a large picture frame and it was $10), but not terribly unreasonable. And there were also five kittens in the middle of the shop, one of whom was obsessed with the shiny buttons on my coat. They all seemed more interested in playing with each other than in going home with any of the humans, but our cat would never forgive us for bringing a kitten home, so that's probably for the best. read more

Used to be my favorite. It's gotten very dirty and cramped. Things that should have been thrown out are hanging and or on shelves. They don't skim through and thin out the racks as new things are put out so you can't scan through things easily. Shoes are always overpriced and usually gross. A lot of stuff is broken and sad looking. You can find a deal if you dig but it's gotten bad. It's time for a refresh and or overhaul for the sake of the critters. read more

So let me start out by saying this thrift store is a great concept... I love dogs and any animal of any kind so the idea that the proceeds go to helping foster dogs and cats find homes is great. In one year they homed 50 dogs and cats. BUT.. it is very dirty, packed, hard to navigate through isles, and way too overpriced. Tables that are broken beyond repair cost 30+ dollars. Items that were listed such as a couch you could buy a new one for the price they were selling it for. I felt like I needed gloves and a face mask to pick up anything. I understand it's not a boutique but the store feels grimy and smells of cat litter since they keep cats in the store. I don't understand the buzz behind the place. Great idea. I just wish it was cleaner, had better signs so you could find what you were looking for, and had better pricing. When I go into a thrift store I expect to get a bargain not pay a pretty penny. I got a hand painted oil painting out here for $20 took it to an art gallery to have it appraised turns out its a $300 painting. This is one of the best thrift stores in the Triangle to find clothing. Some of the clothes aren't as cheap as GCF and Salvation Army, but that's because a lot of items still have the tags on them. Just moved to the area and found this place on my quest for awesome thrift shops! This was my first find so have nothing to compare it to but I found an awesome little side table to revamp! The pricing is just right and they have a good sized area for furniture and nick nacks, which is what I usually look for. I like going in here but really rarely find anything. Their prices are high-think set of used dishes priced at 28.00 or used hallmark ornaments at 4.99EACH! I normally have a kid with me and they dont have kids stuff except for a few stray toys once in awhile. I was going to get my DD a pair of USED store brand boots-not winter, just like fake ugg tye, but they were 10 bucks for used generic boots. Too high for me for used kids shoes. She did find a few t shirts for a few dollars each, but some of their prices are just too high-especially on household items. read more

This is a decent thrift store. Clothing is organized very well and they have a large amount of plus size clothing. Everything is individually priced, including clothes. Personally I was taken aback at some of the clothing prices. For example, they wanted $5 for an aerie t-shirt covered in pilling, $8 for a h&m sweater, and $12 for an Old Navy dress. I know that the money is for a great cause but still I think these prices were a bit unreasonable for a charity thrift qshop. There is a pretty good selection of vinyl and books. They also carry more furniture than most thrift stores. Honesty the best part of the store was being able to see and play with the kittens that are up for adoption. read more
