Horrible, they have misdiagnosed my daughter and I every single visit, and we have unfortunately been here many times. Avoid at all costs.

I must say, for an urgent care center it's not bad. In my experience going there, which was between 8-12 times, I've only experienced "poor service" once or twice. These people saved pretty much my life when my primary care physician refused to give me Tammaflu(They did not own a decent nasal flu test kit). Catskill Urgent Care took me in no less than 20 minutes of my arrival and had me with medications before the sun set! Obviously nothing is perfect, but I would recommend this urgent care for Greene County residents! read more

We are lucky to have this group here in the mountains. This is my second visit to the CATSKILL Urgent Care and in both cases I was given top notch care. There were a number of people in the waiting room when I arrived. They were efficient, professional, and had very good communication about the diagnosis and how to treat it. I am so grateful for the excellent care I received a few days ago. I had the flu on and off for over a month & having lost my health insurance made me not want to go to a doctor, but I was miserable. When the doctor saw me she quickly pinpointed why I kept getting sick after eliminating strep by testing and then prescribing antibiotics for a sinus infection. She suggested a few homeopathic remedies as well. The fee was very affordable and my wait (I came in without an appointment) was about 30 minutes. Within a day or 2 I was back to normal feeling better than I have felt in over a month. Next time I'm sick I'm heading straight back here! read more

X-Ray Machine always seems to be 'down' here. But, they never post that on their website. The receptionist won't even tell you when you walk in and wait 40 minutes uselessly, fill out all their forms, etc. This is an awful facility, and I always wind up driving to Coxsackie or ER. Unhelpful staff that gives greater priority to their phone conversation than the person standing or waiting in front of them. Rudeness seems to come naturally to them here. Sloppy, poor hygiene and surly staff - chances are this is a reflection on the ownership. read more

I went to Urgent Care due to a bad fever and sore throat. I was pretty sure I had strep and wanted to get the meds to get over the bug that much faster. After waiting a bit (to be expected) I finally saw the doctor who was pleasant and seemed very capable. After a rapid strep test turned out negative, she took another swab culture to send out to the lab, telling me it would take 1-3 days to get back the results. Boy, was that wrong. I don't know if the problem was due to the lab or the Urgent Care practice, but four days later they still didn't have the results. The doc prescribed the medication she assumed I needed. Still, I wanted to know my lab results and she had said they would call once they got the results. I called this evening (six days after my visit) and the tech said she was just given my results (only because I came a-calling, of course) and tried to spin some bs about how it takes a long time for a culture to grow. I called her out on that... Something is obviously wrong here. While part of the problem might have been the lab, Urgent Care does not seem to be very good about getting back to their patients in a timely manner and, certainly, this person was not being straight forward. If there is another option near by, I won't be going back to this place next time I'm in need. read more

I am new to the area as of 11/30/12 and both my children and myself were suffering from flu like symptoms. After seeing about the epidemic all over the majority of the US, I decided we should get some medical intervention! I called to see if my insurance was accepted and the receptionist was lovely. I took the 30 minute drive from Windham and was pleased to see the office was clean and neat and offered tissues and masks for those with a cough. I filled out all the paperwork and was escorted into a room by a lovely nurse. She was pleasant and friendly. After a few minutes, we saw the doctor. She told us 82% of Greene County had the flu and immediately tested us for strep and the flu! My girls (9 and 10 years) felt comfortable and liked the doctor. We were too late to be given Tamiflu but the doctor suggested a nasal rinse and gave me a coupon for the product. read more

I give this place about 2 1/2 stars. The receptionist did say about an hour and she was correct. I then had to wait 5 minutes for her to get off personal phone call. The place closes at 9 but they locked the doors at 8:45 and I they wouldn't let a person in who came in at 8:55pm. The nurse looked like she had a long day, she seemed irritated and didn't introduce herself. The doctor was nice but I think the exam could have been a bit more through. I went in with chest pain and based on symptoms she said it sounded muscular. I told nurse that I wanted an EKG but obviously she didn't pass this on to the doctor and the doctor didn't feel it was necessary either. I should have insisted on one for the peace of mind and I'm surprised with legalities that doctor didn't take the couple of minutes to do but I was the second to last patient so they probably wanted to get home. read more

I had waited in the waiting room for 10-15 minutes and they found I had strep. Went to the Walgreens to fill antibiotic. They only thing I would say is to give the inside of this place a facelift and electronic chart. read more

My son came down with a bad ear infection very quickly and by the time we realized it, it was 6pm on a Thursday. We brought him down to urgent care. One thing that sets urgent care apart from the ER is that it is first come, first serve (rather than in order of severity like the ER.) I did have to wait over an hour with a whimpering 10 yr old in my arms, but there were 6 people ahead of us. It beat 6hrs in the ER any day! When we did get in the staff was super nice to my son, trying to make him feel safe and calm. We got out pretty quickly and our script was called in to walmart within 15-20 mins. All in all an okay experience. Definitely a time saver for minor incidents vs. the ER, however not the place to go if you can't wait, or have a major issue. read more

If it's not a life or death situation and you can't make it to the nearest hospital do not go here!!! It will take you 45 minutes at least to be seen and the front desk lady is the rudest most condescending person I've ever met. At this moment, I am flabbergasted at the lack of concern for a patient in need. I was told I had to pay $103 before they would even talk to me about my condition. This facility is in-network and should have cost $25. I was told it was because some people have insurance that has lapsed because of the pandemic, and the $103 was a discounted rate. A reperesentative from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield even called them to verify that my insurance is valid, and they still refused to see me unless I paid $103.00 out of pocket. I am reporting them to the governor's office and to the Better Business Bureau. read more

This place is a joke honestly I got in the waiting room and checked in at about 1/1:30 and I waited till at least 3 they weren't even that busy the waiting room had maybe 3 people in it. I didn't even get seen because I left but they let a girl in ahead of me who got here after me. Like that's absurd I was better off going to coxsackie. read more

This place should not even deserve a star. This place is HORRIBLE. Very RUDE staff. From the moment you call about information or have questions the receptionist will cut you off mid sentence and tell you "she can't help ". I am appalled that a person seeking medical help gets that kind of response and treatment. read more

My parents fell ill over Thanksgiving weekend. We did our research to see which urgent care facility we should go to. While this one didn't have the highest rating, it was very convenient. What we found was pleasantly surprising. The doctor was incredibly helpful and a great listener. He took into account existing conditions, did some research, and came up with a solution that ultimately got them on the road to wellness. He was even so kind as to give my mom his personal cell phone number to make sure that she could reach out if she had any questions. This was truly world-class treatment. read more

As in any urgent care you come in feeling horrible already, you are greeted by a rude receptionist that gets off her personal phone calls just long enough to shove a clipboard in your face and take your copay so you held hostage there for the next two hours in the waiting room. You then get to wait for two hours and listen to her cackle on the phone.. she walks off and I literally could hear her laughing in the back as I had to dial the phone and call several times to get her to return to her station because a father and his baby were waiting for assistance at the window for a good fifteen minutes with a bump on her head as he fought to keep her awake. The receptionist finally comes up and instructs him to go somewhere else because that's what they are going to tell him anyway. Then she proceeds with her phone calls. I am only giving this review two stars because once I was in the back the medical assistant was so nice and helpful and so was the doctor. Upon check out I was greeted with the same rude receptionist that tried to charge me again for my copay and once I told her I had already paid she proceeded with a snide remark. The place would do better if she didn't have a job and if they got someone in there with a smile that tried to make you feel comfortable when you're obviously not at your best, which is the whole point of visiting there. read more

I thought the service was fine when I went there on August 14th, but it turns out that they missed a diagnosis for Lyme disease (identified later with a blood test in the emergency room). It's not an easy diagnosis, so I wasn't really too upset when I learned they had got it wrong, but I called today to let them know what happened and to alert them that their prescription for prednisone (which I did not take) could have masked my later symptoms. The doctor was curt and rude -- in fact, she hung up on me. I didn't express any anger about the mistake, I just wanted to be sure they were aware of the risk for future patients. They clearly don't like getting bad news, so overall, I don't think much of the place and will not return. Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson is a far better choice for urgent care. read more

I went to this Urgent care about a month ago. The receptionist took personal information off of my intake and insurance forms and used this information as a means of gossip. I filed an official complaint with The Office of Civil Rights as well as filed a complaint with her office and the Medical Director of the establishment. I was told today by the office that because the information was "personal" and NOT "medical" that there will be no repercussions for this employee. According to them... this does not constitute a violation of my rights. I beg to differ. I believe from the time that you enter an establishment and are in a vulnerable position it is the duty of the medical profession that ALL AND ANY information regarding your health and personal life is kept confidential. I do not understand how her taking information of my intake and insurance information is not a violation of Hipaa. I do have an apt with lawyer in the morning and I won't be letting his go. I work in the medical field and this is absolutely unacceptable. I never met this woman in my life and she had absolutely no right. I would highly recommend you stay far away from this place. Clearly they don't take privacy seriously... The sad part is I never even met this woman and she felt the need to do this to me... hopefully she doesn't know you because your information will not be private. I am the second individual this has happened to in the last few months and they refuse to handle this employee. Stay far away from this place if you want your privqcy. read more

WORST urgent care clinic that me and my family have ever been to. Had a 2 and a half hour wait in the waiting room. When we were finally seen, we had the worst experience we've ever had at a medical facility. Dr. Amy Brueckner was seen by my family for bronchitis, colds and flu. Dr. Brueckner was surly, arrogant, argumentative, impertinent, and extremely rude. She should not be working for any medical facility. Me and my family will never return to this facility. read more

My wife cut her finger badly while cooking tonight. It was after 7pm on a Friday in Tannersville, and the nearest emergency room is in Kingston (45 min away). We called 911 to ask where else we could go, and the dispatcher recommended Urgent Medical Care in Catskill. We went there, and we had a great experience. Very professional and very caring service. They stitched up my wife's finger and we were back on our way in less than 45 minutes. read more
