Incredible fun in Nola -- this karaoke spot is tucked into the heart of Bourbon Street and is well worth the stop! They're definitely popular, so be prepared to wait before getting up on stage. The waitlist system is pretty efficient. The emcee is super bubbly and kept the party going and engaged with the audience late into the night. I had a blast, would recommend!

We hopped in here to have a couple of drinks while strolling Bourbon Street and had a good time people watching while they performed karaoke for everyone and having some laughs with my wife. People were friendly, service was good place is clean and my wife and I noticed there were lots of cameras around and I just found out they have a 24 hour livecam that anyone can view. Place is loud but what do you expect from a place you go to, to party.

Cats meow is a lovely place to karaoke on bourbon street. The security questioned my age because I look super young. Thankful for those who do their jobs well. They give a card to get a free shot with purchase. A nice touch to an overpriced city. They have a lovely outdoor bar as well as an upstairs outlook to the street. The hosts for karaoke were charismatic and fun. The DJ kept the tunes spinning. My friends and I had a blast on our first night in the Big Easy.

Walking down the street and we see a sign that says "Free Karaoke". We added our name to the list and grabbed some seats. We had no idea how long the list was. They alternate between letting an audience member sing and the host sing. It was a good time but we never got to get on stage. Still a fun experience.

We had a great time here. I have always wanted to karaoke but was always so nervous. After watching a few I got the courage to add my name to the list and my friend and I had a blast! Fun time with friends. Only thing is the list moves real slow and drinks are pricey here.

my husband and I went there last weekend. It was all fun. The music was great. The atmosphere well except the waitress that was waiting on us. She kept on throwing herself on the guys in our party wanting to sing desperately with saying can you call me up there when you get up there we just thought that was strange because she needed to wait on her customers. She ran off with the 's credit card and was up on stage and the people wanted their credit card. My husband and I finally left. We didn't really want to, but the waitress wouldn't seem to leave us alone, begging the boys in our party. To sing, we didn't want her to sing with us. I mean, we wanted her to bring us drinks.

Solid hurricane drink for like $10. Host was a ton of fun. Wish the song list had some more modern options.

Fun place for karaoke, and pretty reasonable drinks for bourbon street. It was actually pretty crowded on a Monday night!

The tuna tartare was very underwhelming--far too spicy to the point that it completely overpowered the flavor of the tuna itself. Instead of tasting fresh and balanced, it just felt like heat for the sake of heat. The rice was another letdown. I asked for stir fry, but what I got was basically fried rice, lacking that fresh, wok-fired flavor and texture you'd expect from a proper stir-fry. It didn't taste freshly prepared and felt more like a shortcut than what was advertised. My girlfriend's meal was even more disappointing than mine, which really sealed the overall experience for us. When both dishes miss the mark, it's hard to overlook. The service didn't help either. I'd give our server two stars as well--he was short, dry, and largely inattentive. We were mostly ignored throughout the meal, and he only really came back when it was time to bring the bill. Ironically, the most attention we got was when we were already leaving and our waters were finally refilled. The price point was actually good, which makes it even more frustrating that the food and service didn't live up to expectations. Overall, a disappointing visit with plenty of room for improvement.

On a previous trip we had seen an evening show at Snug Harbor and wanted to experience something else. We had read good things about the Spotted Cat and their sets run all afternoon. We were a little confused about price because one of our guidebooks said there is no cover but you're supposed to order drinks. There was a doorman who charged us something like $5 each (still cheap!) and we ordered beer and a N/A drink at the bar and listened to a great jazz group playing old-time jazz. Interior is tiny and you're pretty close to the performers. We were standing at first but eventually found some seats as people left. There is even a back courtyard if you want to be outside, although I don't know if you can hear the music or not. We bought a CD from the band and enjoyed it when we got back home. All in all, a great New Orleans experience.
