Looks small on the outside but plenty of room on the inside! Matter of fact, there was a small event happening when we got there (but nothing big enough to shut it down to the public.) Last time I was in town, we ended up here every single day--so of course we had to come back this trip, and it did not disappoint. We still absolutely loved it. The bartender and security staff were awesome and made the experience even better. The band was amazing, the place was clean, and the overall vibe was great. I'm not sure if we actually stopped here or if this has been renamed The Frat House on Bourbon. In any case, it's a spacious spot with live music. They do serve food. We had chicken tenders and fries. Pretty decent, if a little pricey. There's a garden area with a fairly busted bathroom. The good bathrooms are on the third floor. There is an elevator. There is absolutely no excuse for not having SOAP in the bathrooms. Not that it was out, like they literally don't even have a dispenser. Disgusting. It's a bar... On Bourbon street. I don't think you're really going to find a place that's going to reinvent the wheel here, but if you want a place to go and dance, this is an option. The bartenders have always been great to me, and when we decided to bring in a few Vieux Carre pizzas with us on a slower night, they didn't raise a fuss (and of course they enjoyed some, too). The "best" part about Prohibition is the balcony. You can watch all the people wandering Bourbon street, you can throw some beads if you brought them with. It can get crowded, but they control how many people are out there at a time, so you don't feel terribly unsafe. People are pretty good about regulating their time out there during the end of carnival season, so even though you might have to wait, no one really hogs the time out there. read more

Located smack dab in the middle of Bourbon Street is this bar/dinky dance club. I can't speak for the dance floor/club aspect of it. Although I can tell you that they blast the sh*t out of that music. Like I could barely hear myself think much less talk. We were walking around and just checking everything out in general when these guys walked by with these obscenely ginormous bottles of beer marked.. Huge Ass Beers. Sold! lol I walk up to the counter at the side of the bar and order. 70 ounce beer for $26. lol The options were Miller Lite or Bud Light. Service was ok. AWFUL SECURTIY!! Discriminatory and were trying to kick us out for simply being on the street in front of the bar. Was with a group of 4 people who weren't even trying to enter the establishment and was assaulted by all 4 of the security personnel to leave. My friend was shoved and hit in the face!! My friends and I started our night at this bar and were attracted to it because of its loud music and rooftop! You're allowed to walk-in without an ID check, but if you want to order a drink at the bar they check your IDs. The drinks were pretty cheap and strong- like $6 for a shot! And you could see how much liquor the bartender put in it (it was a lot). The only downside is that the music was very old so I wish they played newer hits (but we did go on a Thursday so maybe that's why) read more

If you shop here make sure to keep an eye on your bill. I bought a 14 dollar drink (one vodka red bull with a drop of vodka) and I left a 2 dollar tip. I later checked my credit card statement and I was charged the 14 dollar drink and an additional 16 for the tip. I reached out to the vendor and haven't received any response back. My friend was also overcharged 85 dollars for a singular drink and is currently tying to dispute the charge as well. The bouncers were drunk and overly aggressive and no business should be run this way. Highly do not recommend coming here. read more

Make sure to check your billing statements! They will tip themselves if they aren't satisfied with how you tipped. We bought a drink for $14 and the bartender tipped herself $13 when a $2 tip was left. This was not a typo mistake. It was done intentionally. They will also make you buy a drink at the bar if you want to stand in the balcony, and are extremely aggressive about getting people off for not knowing. The bartenders and other staff were incredibly rude and there were multiple issues with staff having altercations with customers. The best spot on Bourbon to people watch! The inside is great with live music and awesome bartenders. Tons of beer options that vary from regular sizes to huge ass beer sizes! There is a place to walk up from the street and get drinks which my friends and I tended to do so we could people watch. The guy out front with the whistle was enough entertainment for hours!!
