Absolutely awful experience. Reached out to CATS regarding a specific pet and was told she was adopted. Disappointing but awesome she was able to find a home so quickly. Anna and Yvette were awesome and recommended Dustie instead. After agreeing that I'd like to meet Dustie as well, I received a text from Elizabeth Dawson and this is where it begins to get ugly. Elizabeth happened to "adopt" the cat that same day and was bringing her home for the first time. We agreed to meet the following Sunday, the 16th so I can prepare with essentials for bringing Dustie home. She agreed and stated there was "no problem" meeting that following Sunday. However, today I received a text from her stating she can't hold the cat because there's such high interest. I was of the belief CATS cared to place their animals in the best home possible, not simply first come first serve. After this experience, im lead to believe this organization may be pumping and dumping pets just to collect the $125 fee. I've attached the texts here as well for clarity regarding this situation.

Cats at the studios are the best. Fosters are extremely knowledgeable and they will go above and beyond to help you out and find the right cat that fits your household. In my case, I wanted to adopt 1 Turkish Angola cat. But they come in pair. So I ended up adopting 2 kittens and they're the best

Bono & Miro

My wife and I had a wonderful experience adopting cats from Cats At The Studio and we definitely recommend this organization!! We adopted our second cat Bono from Jody and our third cat Miro from Anniko & Mihoko, and both times the team was so sweet and caring, and very thorough with the process. I could tell that they really care for and love the kitties. They even followed up after the adoption to make sure that the kitties are adjusting well. I can't thank Jody, Mihoko & Anniko enough!!

Trying to adopt was a frustrating process, but mainly because they only adopt Saturdays/Sundays and I'm mainly working on those days. I had to take off work to get my new baby, but at the end of the day it was worth it. I nearly gave up several times but I knew in my heart this was my cat so I didn't and I'm glad I still pursued. My only complaints; I didn't like how he was being physically handled by the foster. It felt unnecessarily rough, even when giving him medication it doesn't need to be so forced. He's not a baby kitten and shouldn't be grabbed by the neck for any reason. I watched him be yanked and tugged and pulled. I watched his foster yank out a matted dread from behind his ear and he bled a little so that was concerning especially because the skin behind the ears is soo sensitive. He was shaven when he got to the foster but he wasn't groomed or maintained in that time so he is very matted and will have to be shaved again. I will not be tearing out the mats. I also felt like I had to constantly text the foster, she would go days without responding and the first time I inquired about the cat nearly a month prior, it went almost no where until I saw him posted again on Petfinder. The foster said something to me that upset me personally during the interview about "he doesn't like kids, I don't know if you have kids or plan to have kids". I said I don't have kids nor do I plan to have kids. But then she reiterated "you're young, you don't know if you will want kids in the future, are you sure? He doesn't like kids". Some people physically are incapable of having kids, I don't think pushing the narrative on young women that they "may" have kids someday is not appropriate during an application process. Just say he doesn't like kids and leave it at that for the adopter to decide, don't assume every woman wants or can have children. That's why some people get pets in the first place. Unprofessional. But the pros; he is perfect otherwise. It took him only a day to adjust to his new room. He's eating, drinking, playing, using the litter box, asking for pets. He even climbed in bed with me. When he meows, he uses a quiet inside voice. All within 24 hours of bringing him home. He is lovely and I'm excited to give my new baby his forever home.

This review is long overdue. I've adopted 2 kitties from them, one in 2016 and one in May 2021. Their fosters are amazing! Both kitties arrived healthy and socialized, were spayed/neutered, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. They really go the extra mile when you have questions about transitioning them to your home and integrating them with your family, be it two or four legged. Special shout out to Rhonda Redman and Cheri Friedman for always going above and beyond when I had/have questions. Although I've had kitties for many years, each new addition is unique and my goal is to integrate them as smoothly and as stress free as possible. They make the whole process so easy. I can't recommend them highly enough. Such a well run organization that saves countless kitties that would otherwise be euthanized. Thank you!

I'm sorry to see so many bad reviews. My experience at the Woodland Hills Petco was good. The application process is a bit time-consuming, but I felt it was great that the vetting process ensured that the cats would go to loving homes. We adopted a five month old sweet kitty; She is a joy. "Maybel" and "Marcel" were very helpful, and so eager to help with answers. These ladies work their jobs and then give time and love to the rescued cats. The cats come complete with medical records. Our cat was even seen by an optometrist (she has a "winking" eye due to a birth defect). Bless the volunteers at Cats At The Studio!

Three siblings, ready for adoption!

They talked to me and figured out my personal life and then suggested cats that they thought would fit in. Doc has become the perfect friend. And I can't thank them enough for helping me. Quite simply, Rhea is lying, but I see from other reviews that she makes a habit of this…read more Our interactions until the phone call in which she basically interrogated me, were fine. Post that phone call, my feelings about the way she handled herself Changed, and I was wary of her. Despite her assertion that I had no idea what I was looking for, I told her precisely what I was looking for: a bonded pair of cats that were a little older, say two years old or older. I had just lost my cat and my dog. I had also just lost my husband. All this within four months. I found my house too quiet without the pets and my husband, and that is why I reached out to Rhae. I wanted something to care for, a bonded pair of cats seemed exactly what I needed, having had cats all of my life. I never bad mouthed other rescue organizations, other than mentioning the southern golden retriever organization from whom my husband and I adopted two fabulous golden retrievers. While the dogs were great, the organization was not. Unfortunately, I am in very good company as pertains to being dissatisfied with that group, and I only mentioned it to Rhae when she specifically asked me if I had worked with other organizations. The forum of yelp asks for reviews. They do not ask for only positive reviews, they asked for both negative and positive, and I have given both, so on that issue and only that issue, Rhae was correct. The vetting of my house was not done by Rhae, it was done by the other woman, and we had a delightful time. Rhae is clearly a bitter and unhappy human being who calls anyone slightly older than she "elderly. "Indeed, I have let my hair go salt and pepper since Covid. That does not make me elderly. Indeed, I shared with Rhae that I had a major back surgery the year before, which is why kittens were out of the question because I could not bend as often as they might need me to. That does not make me elderly. That makes me aware of the limitations of my body and reluctant to jeopardize my health. That also makes me someone who wants to completely fulfill the needs of whatever cats I adopt. Don't believe Rhae's gaslighting. It is as fake as she is.

He & his brother had been adopted out as kittens, but were returned when the original owner was unable to keep them after they were 2 years old. I've stayed in contact with Pat and have to say that she has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. All she does, from sunup to sundown is care for her kitties and try to find them great homes. She's taken strays I've found and successfully gotten them homes. She once took in a kitty for a homeless man and kept him several months thinking the man would return to get him. She takes kitties from individuals and from trappers, as well as those awaiting death in shelters. Her criteria for adoption is strict, it's true, but it's only because she cares so much for the kitties. She once refused to let one of my best friends adopt from her because she lived so far away that she couldn't do a home visit, which is one of her requirements. Her home and the large walk-in cages are immaculate and the kitties are very well adjusted. She spends a lot of time with the babies-loving them and caring for their health needs, shots, and getting them spayed/neutered. Pat has been doing this for a long time and has an instinct about callers. She doesn't waste time with people that she doesn't feel are viable adoptive parents. Some of the reviews on here are very unfair. Go meet Pat and see Purrfect Solutions for yourself. You will not be sorry and you may just fall in love with one of her precious little charges.

I don't know how anyone can say anything negative about this organization and the staff - thank God…read moreBunnyLuv exists! They rescue bunnies from high kill shelters - as anybody who has been to any LA animal shelters knows, there are tons of bunnies and guinea pigs bc unfortunately people buy them for their kids, realize they're too high maintenance and then dump them at the shelters. We came across BunnyLuv bc we unfortunately had our 9 year old angora lionhead bun lose mobility so we brought our boy in. The wonderful lady who runs BunnyLuv looked over our boy, gave us her opinion, gave him some painkillers and told us to take him to a vet (even providing a list of local vets experienced with rabbits since they are considered "exotics"). We brought our boy back for a grooming appt and the lovely gentleman groomer gave us some valuable advice on his care after the grooming appt. While we waited we also toured their back room with all the adorable babies who are looking for homes, along with a few Guinea pigs they took in from a local animal shelter. The bunnies and guinea pigs were all well taken care with ample room (bunnies need a 4' x 4' space). Their pens were clean, the animals were super friendly (a sign they have been handled well) and for grooming services their prices are more than reasonable. Everyone who loves buns should support this wonderful organization and the valuable work they do!
