Lot's of reviews about the kitty cats here, and while I did not adopt any of them, I will wholeheartedly agree that this concept is wonderful and the opportunity to socialize and play with the cats is always really great. Most of the kittens look clean and healthy, though one of then did have some minor skin lesions that were slightly concerning. Beyond that, there aren't many reviews for the comic books, so i'd like to focus on that. I have nothing good to say about it. The collection they have on offer contains a mix of books that one would find in other shops for four to ten dollars. The quality of the books is generally okay, but the pricing is disgusting. The sheer audacity of the price tags on these books made me want to puke. Books that clearly sell for $3-5 being priced at 20-30, while high end key issues that sell in perfect mint condition for 180-200 being advertised at 600 dollars plus. The books are also not marked in any way, so after spending time shopping, you'll be disappointed to watch the employee scanning each issue in to ebay, then add 5-10 dollars to the price right in front of your eyes. I happily paid five bucks to play with the kittens but there's not a chance that i'd pay what they are asking for comics, it is legitimately robbery, and gatekeeps the hobby behind the hope that shoppers know zero about comics, or have never shopped for older books before. I wouldn't recommend this place to a comic collector on any day of the week. Go for the cats, avoid buying the comics until the owners learn more about what they are trying to hawk onto people. read more

super cute in here!! the cats are so adorable!! i would say it's also pretty affordable. if i had anything to say it would be that it's a lot of cats in a smaller room but they seem to be doing fine! just a bit of constructive criticism but i noticed that there weren't enough cat beds so a few of the kitties were crammed into one bed. there was obviously a little smell but it seemed well ventilated and controlled! staff were really friendly and helpful and everything seemed pretty clean read more

They were so sweet and friendly here. We were welcomed right away. My kids love cats and they were allowed to enter and interact with the cats for $5. They were welcoming but also protective of the kitties since they were newly fixed. My kids really enjoyed the time with the cats, they all were very well cared for and it was such a neat ambiance for the kids. We hope to visit back soon and maybe adopt one day! read more

The cats are all full of personality, even if some of them (aka Peanut) are feisty most of the time. The staff and everyone are super awesome and truly care about the cats and making sure they get to their furever homes. Plus it's a comic/game store. i think the concept is really cool and love that they are catering to cat lovers and comic book lovers such an amazing concept! one of the black cats has a runny nose with his little boogies sticking out so i'm not sure if they were aware of that. also before you go make sure you are aware that you have to be a patreon member to touch the board games, i would've appreciated being told that before when i was asked if it was my first time there. read more

I sent an email almost two months ago to Cats and Comics Rescue requesting assistance regarding surrendering my cats due to a family member's health issues. I never received a phone call or email response back with an answer or referrals to other shelters, as I had requested if they could not help me. I shared pictures of my cats to let them know what they looked like. I've even donated to this organization in the past when they were at a Street Fair sharing information regarding their organization. They were happy to receive a donation, but not enthused to assist in rehoming two beautiful cats. read more

It has taken me a long time to write this review, but as someone who has adopted a cat from here, please think twice before you do. I adopted my cat from here when he was eight weeks old and they make you sign a ton of papers saying if you take them to the vet and there's something wrong with them it's on you and that just covers their butts pretty much. I took my cat to the vet because he had a scratch on his face and it ended up being ringworm this place isn't very sanitary. It lets anyone who pays five dollars go in there and pet all these cats and there's not really a lot of people to monitor them to say that they're washing their hands and all those cats are sharing a room and sharing litter boxes so it's bound to happen and while I don't blame them for my cat having ringworm, I do blame them for not taking more precautions after I told them that my cat had ringworm I called them and told them the guy seemed like he didn't care at all, and I doubt any other steps were taken to prevent anyone else from getting it. My cat also had an upper respiratory infection and Giardia, all at eight weeks old. I love my cat so much and I wouldn't change anything, but I would never adopt from here again. read more

Avoid at all costs if you plan on adopting a cat or kitten here. Very sick cats and kittens they are trying to get you to adopt here. Lets just say Ringworm and Giardia which is contagious to humans. Along with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a serious, historically fatal viral disease in cats caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus (FCoV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is one of the most significant infectious diseases in cats. All of their cats and kittens are not tested for any cat diseases before any of their adoptions. So who knows what you are bringing home to your other beloved pets that you already own. If you rescue cats and kittens they should all be tested by a Vet before you all put them in their enclosure to be adopted. Simple common sense, proper hygiene, proper testing of all cats and Vet checks is not being done here. My adopted kitten that I adopted from Cats and Comics died at 11 months, because of all this. So please avoid at all costs adopting a cat or kitten here, unless if you want heartache and agony of grief. read more

I adopted 2 fur babies just last week and they're adjusting well into our home. I opted for 2 brothers from the same litter and it was the best decision I could have made! I honestly encourage anyone who is going to adopt and don't have other cats at home to do the same especially if during your visit you see 2 socializing together a lot or in a cuddle puddle together. They're inseparable and do everything together and seriously what's one more fur baby to love! I came to the facility twice once at the beginning of the day and another day mid day and found the place to be clean and tidy. Typical cat smells but nothing excessive at all considering the amount they have. Food bowls full water full. Several cats napping in hammocks but just as many chasing toys amongst the floor. I looked at several cats and none appeared sick in any way. No eye goop, runny noses,sneezing or dirty ears. They all appeared well kept and healthy. You can tell the staff puts in a lot of care into their rescue. read more
