This would be my first kid-free night out in a long time, and I wanted something special. My maximum budget was $250. For context, the store owner, Martha Morgan, has been in this business since 1979. She first operated in Trolley Square, and the downtown Wilmington location (close to the Hotel Du Pont) is relatively new. Morgan's definitely feels like a classic boutique shopping experience. The clothes and accessories are all thoughtfully curated, and customers feel very welcomed. I browsed the racks. Martha came over after helping another customer with a lovely prom dress. Martha provided me with a quick yet thorough consultation about my needs. Then she pulled a few dresses for me, including a stunning royal blue gown that I had not seen while browsing. Reader, this blue dress fit like it was made for me. I truly think she plucked it from a magic portal. My color, my size, and a cut that flattered my body and made me feel confident. I only needed to try this one dress on, and I was sold! The dress was under my budget and final sale--I wasn't concerned because I knew that it was a keeper. I got many compliments while wearing it. Most importantly, I felt my best while celebrating. I will definitely come back to Morgan's when looking for another special fashion piece.

The manager noted that there was a $7 rack and a $20 rack for formal dresses upon entering the store While we were looking around, it was noted by an associate that the $7 rack was officially an extra 50% off, so of course we fled to the rack to see if there was anything that fit. $3.50 is a beautiful price! Wanted to note that the sizes weren't very inclusive btw. Almost everything was XS or S. But I found a couple things that I liked and happily brought them to the register. Upon checkout, the prices rang up at regular price and then reduced to only $7... I asked about the deal because the new 50% off sign was up prior to us going up to the register. The associate who mentioned the sale was the person who checked us out and said that they have to honor the original deal because we had those clothes before they changed it? Which wasn't true... and also absurd. I was honestly dumbfounded and when I reemphasized what they said, their response was they "didn't know what [I was] talking about" when the sign on the rack was clearly there. I really don't like how they did that. I ended up paying for it because $7 is still fine but when you say something and there's A SIGN, you honor it. It's a really bad reflection of a store if an employee is this dishonest. I came in with a lot of enthusiasm, and this associate commented on how great my energy is and then you're gonna do me like this? Then you're probably just saying anything to finesse a sale out of a customer. I was skeptical at first, but thought I'd try out at least one blouse. After the initial fitting, I liked the concept - get measured, pick materials, buttons, styles. In a couple of weeks, my first blouse arrived. I wore it to work the next day. I received more compliments regarding that blouse than I had received for any other item of clothing that I'd worn to work in my entire career. The size was perfect, especially in the bust area which is my biggest issue. After several months, I am still happy with my purchase. I've even ordered a few additional blouses in different styles and colors. I've been very happy with all the purchases. I've even ventured purchasing a couple of pairs of shoes. I love the shoes, the fit and the quality. My next purchase is a suit. I'll let you know how it goes with that. If the suits are as good as the blouses, I'd upgrade this business to a 5 star. Didn't want to give it the 5th star yet as I haven't tried the suits yet. FYI - I am a woman who works in sales with a predominately male sales force.

Oh my heavens! I've…read morenever walked into a Boot Barn, only ordered online. It was a wonderful store with all sorts of treasures from purses, wallet, clothing, Western hats and BOOTS! Tons of absolutely beautiful boots. It was so nice to be able to try on boots because all of them fit so differently. The staff is PHENOMENAL too! I love this store and will definitely return.
