It is easy to pass by the place because biggest sign on building is for donut shop that previously occupied the space. We were the only people in dining there for most of the time. The waiter was nice but a little different too. He was happy to answer questions and share his thoughts on menu items. In fact he actually hung out at our table a little too long- we wanted to get on with our conversations. Ha. Anyway I had the avocado toast with an egg on top- it was huge order. And very good. They sprinkle crunchy mix on top of the avocado- seeds mostly and lettuce under it - a great combo of texture and flavor esp with a creamy green sauce with it. I tasted my friends Milque Toast and it was very good but definitely sweet. Think bread pudding.

The presentation of the food was definitely beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing. I ordered…read morethe avocado toast, which had quite a lot going on in terms of ingredients and flavors. It was interesting and visually impressive, although I would say the taste may not be everyone's cup of tea. The Norwegian pancakes were also beautifully presented. They looked very much like crêpes and, to me, tasted very similar to crêpes as well. The coffee was probably one of the more interesting parts of the experience. It was made with Indonesian coffee and green Indonesian spices that gave it a unique color and appearance that reminded me a little of matcha. Definitely something different to try. I initially ordered bacon and eggs, but unfortunately they were out of bacon. What surprised me was that there really wasn't another side available to substitute for it, so I ended up choosing something completely different. I also asked about sampling something before ordering and learned that they do not offer samples. Overall, this is a very visually appealing and unique dining experience with some interesting flavor combinations. I think it's a great place for someone who enjoys trying something a little different, but some of the flavors and menu options may not appeal to everyone.

Then if that wasn't enough my one side was the Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, which are brown baby potatoes in the shape of football drizzled with olive oil and dusted with Parmesan cheese and salt. As she was describing the food to me it just kept getting better. To drink I always ask for Sweet Tea but they have Raspberry sweet tea which was PERFECT. Their Entree selection is just as interesting. I would recommend coming in the off season or during the week as Grafton gets busy on weekends. I know that I'm coming back. They have a Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops that sound delicious! Or the Sauerbraten pot roast and veggies, and plenty of moderately priced choices. Save room for the German Chocolate Trifle or S'mores Brownies for dessert.

Once you order you're given your drinks at the counter and a number if you order food. There's both indoor and outdoor seating with lots of windows and they usually have live music going. I like that you can order different types of alcohol, wine, and beer so there's something for everyone here. Although I haven't had the food yet I have ordered drinks and my favorite was the blackberry slushie they make. It was so refreshing, a nice break from seltzers on the water. The live music varies which means the crowd does too. It can get crowded so be sure to get there at a decent time on weekends if you want to avoid sitting outside.
