Now I've had nightmares with groomers in the past, Aleu is a Mini Australian Shepard and the last place we took her and asked for a trim, we came back to a shaved dog. It was a nightmare. Ju Ju's asked us how much we wanted cut, told us they'd have her ready in 2-3 hours and we were good to go! They called back in 3 hours on the dot and I picked up a beautiful little Aleu with the biggest smile on her face. On top of that, the price was incredibly affordable. I am so happy with this place. I've been bringing my dogs here for years first my late dog, and now my current miniature schnauzer. If you look back at my previous review photos, you'll see the PERFECT schnauzer cut they used to do. Consistent. Professional. Distinguished little gentleman energy. Recently though, scheduling became nearly impossible. Every conversation sounded like: "Let me confirm if our groomer is actually working that day..." After weeks of trying to coordinate schedules, my schnauzer's hair got longer than ever. He loves wearing shirts, so yes, he had some matting. I paid extra for de-matting and gave very clear instructions: shave the skirt, but keep a full beard along with his chest and paws fluffy. Y'all... when I picked him up, I genuinely did not recognize my own dog. He walked in looking like a miniature schnauzer and walked out looking like a scrappy chihuahua named Peanut. They shaved EVERYTHING. His entire body, his face, even his whiskers. HIS WHISKERS. WTF. I know hair grows back and thankfully it's summer, but I honestly felt bad for him. As someone with longer hair myself, if somebody sat me down and buzzed me to the skin without warning, I'd probably need emotional support and a hoodie for a month. My dog still seems happy and unbothered, but I'm traumatized enough for both of us. After years of loyalty, this was incredibly disappointing and totally unacceptable. We will never come back..

From the first stay, I could tell they actually understand dogs, not just watch them. He came back relaxed, clean, and acting like himself, which says everything. The communication was solid, and I didn't have to chase anyone for updates. Place is clean, staff is friendly, and more importantly, they know what they're doing. We booked with Lufthansa for our trip. Something that should've taken no more than two days from departure date to arrival date took 7 days! I booked with the Christy the whole works: transportation from Airport to Car rental to Doggie day care, showers for all, 10 day quarantine and kennel cleaning because dogs can only hold it so much. Ya'll??!! When I say this crew came through, I mean it! I was stuck in X country due to Lufthansa's strike with my two dogs. However! And in all fairness Lufthansa also came through for me and my pups. I won't go into detail but Lufthansa despite the challenges and mistakes by it's employees, my husband, the four pups and I were taken care of even though at times it felt like they were going to drop the ball but persistence and taking extra precaution got us home and thanks to Christy and her crew we felt like our move was the right move. I'm being dead serious. Christy trusted us and even though at times it felt like a made up story from my side she was a woman of her word and our Angel. I trust her with my dogs any day. Actually my furry babies will be staying with her again soon because she knows her business and loves what she does. Thank you MPL!!!

He is an adorable little Maltese mix but he had some aggression issues. I interviewed three different dog training businesses before deciding on LYPA. I immediately felt at ease with Dex, Max's trainer. Dex showed extensive knowledge in Max's behavior and also MY behavior! In just ONE visit to my home, I see a HUGE difference in Max's behavior. I am less nervous about taking Max out for walks, because Dex showed me in great detail how to properly walk with Max, how to talk to Max, how basically to control the situation.
