STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. Incompetent, unreliable, poor quality and poor customer service. I am new in Bend looking for a reliable dry cleaners. Found this close to my place and thought I'd try. I've used them twice and both times promised delivery dates were missed. When I finally got my clothes, wrinkled and disheveled. A lot of apologies and excuses unfortunately apologies and excuses don't satisfy customers. Whoever Cathy is, she needs to get a handle on her business...Pathetic! I took over $100 worth of cleaning into Cathy's. 4 of my shirts had deodorant stains that I was hoping to have removed. I was told that it would be no problem to get them out however when I returned a week later the shirts looked worse, the stain more pronounced, than when I brought them in. Staff apologized and asked me to return the next week. I returned the next week and the shirts were still unclean. I reached out to management and they would not issue any refund. Long story short, I paid over $100 for my cleaning and made 3 trips to the shop and now need to throw away 4 shirts. I am disappointed that Cathy's did not refund the cost of cleaning the 4 shirts. read more

This business went down fast. Noticed a huge change from when I started going there last spring 2017. Unprofessional attitude and had to return 3 times to pick up 6 items. Took over 2 weeks to do simple dry cleaning. Not going back!! read more

Cat throw up. Kid throw up. Not fun, especially when they happen at the SAME TIME. I took 2 down comforters, 1 sleeping bag, 1 blanket and 2 pillows in to Cathy's to be cleaned. I wasn't even sure if the sleeping bag and a comforter could be salvaged. They did a beautiful job on all the pieces, no stains and even gave me a break on the price!!! Stay away!! They tore one of my blouses but didn't tell me. I noticed when I went to wear it. There was a tag on the inside, under the plastic, inside my blouse attached to the hanger paper that said "damaged." Totally unacceptable. Also, the attendants are very rude. Never smile, when you come in they actually act like you are bothering them. Not the service I want nor the way I want to be treated when giving my hard earned $ for dry cleaning. Good news, right across the street there is a very good, reasonably priced & friendly dry cleaner. read more

Took in wedding dress to remove small stain and steam to remove wrinkles prior to ceremony. The wrinkles were gone but not the stain! They had for two full days! Worst part was the grooms two brand new shirts that just needed to be pressed. They were worse then when started! Moving to bend but will never use this company again. No apologies, paid full price for nothing. Had to get steamer and re-do my sons shirts prior to wedding. Bad attitude on the phone and big time miscommunication on when and if could be done. Their website says they reweave. I called and they said they reweave. I dropped off and waited to it to be done. When I picked my item up, they had simply patched it and stitched over it. I could have done that and I can't really sew. Horrible. So the girl said her manager would call me. But never did. I had to call and ask that they remove what they did and get the item back to me. I asked why their website says they do this, but really don't. No body seems to know what they can and can't do there. I waited so long and could have gone somewhere else. Bad experience! Four years ago we used Cathy's Cleaners and received excellent service. About 3 weeks ago when we needed to have 3 men's sport dress coats, men's slacks and a woman's St. John knit suit cleaned we took them with us from Roseburg to be cleaned at Cathy's Cleaners in Bend. When we received the cleaning back all three sport coats and slacks had been stuffed into one plastic bag. The knit suit still had the stain on the front so they offered to redo it. It only caused us an extra trip to town from Sunriver the next day. The stain came clean with the next cleaning. But we failed to look at the sport coats until we arrived home in Roseburg. The top button on one coat was broken in half and a sleeve button on another coat was split in half and missing. This will cause me to replace 10 buttons on each coat. The linings of the coats looked as if they had been waded with no pressing. The bottom hem of the coats was not pressed in the proper place. The sleeve hems were pressed improperly with the lining hanging down on one. The seam on the slacks was pressed in a different place than the original seam causing two seams down the front. I have tried to take care of this with the management of Cathy's Cleaners but have not had any response. A call was made to the manager. She was busy so we requested a return phone call. We have never received a phone call from her. Evidently this cleaners was sold since our last visit four years ago. The new company certainly needs to teach their employees how to do cleaning and pressing without damaging the clothing and buttons. Or it is possible that the new management doesn't know how to clean and press fine clothing? Please be warned about the very poor service of this establishment! read more

Just got my coat back and it looks great! Service was friendly and very reasonable price. Totally recommend!

Beware! I took an old cabin blanket in to be "washed". When I had it done at the Green Cleaners (before they closed) it was about $12. When I picked it up today it was $33!!! I asked to speak to the manager as I thought there had been a mistake. The manager could have cared less. There was NO eye contact and she said "it's a lot of work to launder a blanket and we use VERY EXPENSIVE SOAP"! My mistake to not have asked about the price first so I could have taken it to another place. The price was offensive! I told the manager I've had a tuxedo cleaned for less. She said "tuxedos are easier to clean"? What? read more

I have always had good luck with Cathy's cleaners. Never any surprises. I will tell you they are the best in town for cleaning ties. The popular cleaner in town with the red white and black colors always screws up my expensive ties. Cathy's always makes them look new again. Clothes come back without that chemical smell or chalky feeling from other cleaners, probably because they bill themselves as a natural cleaning solution. When things go well, I don't know what else to say, but I trust them with anything. I'm sure that cleaners are always going to have negative reviews, as thousands of garments are bound to have problems now and then, and I'm sure Cathy's can't figure out everything that got spilled on them. One note: they used to do alterations and repairs, and I don't think they do anymore. Too bad. read more

Used to take all my dry cleaning to Cathy's when she was the owner. Not now! A blazer I brought in was returned to me damaged and the new owners didn't have the deceny to tell me. I discovered a tag stating " damaged when turned in." I pointed the tag out all they would say was That it was brought in damaged. I have called and e-mailed them regarding the the "damage." No response. I took uthe blazer to two reputable places in town and they both said "improper ironing/cleaning." Obviously Cathy's is now NOT customer friendly business. NOTE: This is not a rant from a habitual complainer, but from a rather rational, kind, positive, easygoing, average guy. It is only the egregious lack of customer empathy, honesty, and integrity that both the workers and management of Cathy's exhibited to my wife and I as we traveled through Bend on our honeymoon (I am a native Oregonian and my wife is from Illinois) that brings me to write this scathing review of a small business located in what is my favorite city in the world. I brought my wife's wedding dress to be cleaned by Cathy's Cleaners (the downtown store on 2nd street, but both of these joints are under the same inept management) on the afternoon of Saturday, 9/20/2014. This was in the midst of my honeymoon (we were staying a couple of nights at Sunriver in a cabin and visiting with some old friends) and on that following Tuesday, 9/23/2014, we would be traveling to Portland to visit with my sick father so that he could see my wife in her wedding dress and I in my tuxedo (his serious health condition prevented him from traveling to Chicago to attend our actual wedding). I absolutely needed this dress to be ready for pickup by 10 am on that Tuesday morning so that we could stay on schedule to meet my father as planned. The lady at the front desk got the guarantee (via telephone) of the manager ("Dennis") that the dress would be absolutely finished by this agreed upon time. The only reason that I entrusted the wedding dress to the staff at Cathy's in the first place was the fact that they assured me that the dress would be finshed by 10 am on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday morning I received a a call from one of the workers at Cathy's who stated that she "needed more time" with the dress. I told her that I was on a strict schedule, that this was completely unacceptable, and that I needed it ASAP. She called me around 10 am telling me that the dress was in fact cleaned and pressed. When I arrived at Cathy's, the dress was as stained and dirty as when I had first dropped it off!!!! A card attached to the dress stated "needed more time to complete". Additionally, a tuxedo shirt that I had dropped off to be pressed and cleaned was completely wrinkled! The lady at the front counter said that "these type of things usually take about a week". I told her of the guarantee that I had received on the preceeding Saturday from her manager and she just shrugged, saying nothing. Utter silence. *Sigh* After my honeymoon was over, I called Cathy's from my home in Chicago. The lady there, Courtney, actually apologized for the terrible service that I experienced, and agreed that I should be refunded the total cleaning bill for the dress of $175.00. She said it would be credited to my account immediately. After 10 days, I hadn't received any refund. I called into Cathy's and was greeted by Dennis, who was less than helpful, to say the least. He said that Courtney wouldn't have promised such a thing and that the dress had in fact been cleaned. I brought up the fact that there was a card attached to the dress that had a box checked on it that read, "needed more time to complete". How could it be that the dress had in fact been cleaned when this card was in fact attesting that it was not clean?! Dennis had no answers for this "logic bomb" that I laid on him (in an exceedingly calm and polite manner, mind you) and basically said that I should take my business elsewhere from now on. Dennis, knowing that I live in Chicago, knew that this was most likely a one-time transaction. None-the-less, shouldn't customers, at the very least, expect to have the work that they paid for be done completely, in a professional manner....and completed at the time guaranteed (by the manager, no less)? After speaking with Dennis, I then received a call from Courtney about ten minutes later and she stated that I apparently misunderstood her and that she never said that I would receive a refund. I told Courtney that just ten days prior that she in fact had guaranteed me a full refund. As with the girl at the counter earlier, there was utter silence in response to my statement! This was very disappointing, to say the least. I am left completely disheartened after a) Losing out on my $175.00, b) Having my wife wear a dirty wedding dress to make the best of an already sad situation with my infirmed father, and c) Essentially being called a liar by Dennis and Courtney, who claimed that I was not promised a refund when I am quite positive that I was. I suspect that when things go according to plan, Cathy's might do right by its customers. When things go wrong, however, it is the unsuspecting customer that pays the price when dealing with the obtuse, unfriendly, and incompetent management that runs this farce of a business. I have been a customer at Cathy's for years but since Cathy's was purchased the costs have sky rocketed and the service ethic plummeted. I just had 2 women's white shirts and one pair of women's pant s cleaned. The bill was $27.20 When I questioned the cost I was told that the sash on one of blouses had to be cleaned separate and the cost was $4.50. I will be returning my cleaning bags to them and will find a new cleaners in Bend. read more

For a $125.00 pressing we now have new creases pressed into wedding dress! Avoid avoid avoid. Could not give it a zero star.

My wife is an executive and has frequent dry cleaning needs which are always met on time. I own a vacation rental furnished with high quality bedding (duvet covers, shams and blankets) which require professional dry cleaning and pressing. Cathy's Cleaners does a great job of meeting my needs and if there is ever a problem, quickly resolves issues to my satisfaction. Occasionally, I require a very quick turn around and Cathy's has never let me down. As importantly, Cathy's supports local charities and helps those less fortunate. This spirit (and actual practice) is consistent with my believes in doing business locally especially with companies which support Central Oregon non profits. Dry Cleaning in central Oregon is expensive and the pricing complex/ confusing. My personal experience research found Cathy's to be competitive and with their Gold Card membership, one can save on the cost of cleaning. I recommend Cathy's Cleaners and use them exclusively. read more

We found out the hard way that the horrible reviews are correct (hidden on their other site.s yelp page). We are now out a very expensive bedding set and left with a General Manager who doesn't care to make it right. Cathy's Cleaner's lost it. We were told they would replace it...then told we needed a purchase receipt. I told them I didn't keep the receipt from the bedding purchase two years prior. I suggested they simply make us an offer so we could just move on. Nothing. NO RESPONSE. Even after several attempts on our part to resolve. What's ridiculous is that we would have been fine with some free dry-cleaning or a few hundred bucks. Now, we are looking at small claims court. What a dumb move on the GM's part. So far 6 of our family members have left Cathy's Cleaners. Take your cleaning elsewhere. Bend Should not tolerate these kinds of businesses. We don't need to...there are many other options. read more
