The items can get pricey, as I recently picked up just an ice cream with churros and bag of churros which ended up at $20. There's a $1 charge on credit cards which also seems a bit like charging the customer on any business transaction. The location is a decent size so it could definitely fit groups and such. Unfortunately my visit did not really go well, as after ordering and receiving a buzzer to let us know when the order is complete, we waited for over 10 minutes to have other customers place orders after us and receive their orders before our buzzer went off. Eventually, one of the associates noticed we had been waiting for a while and came to us to ask if we had placed an order already. For some reason, the buzzer was not programmed to our order, and I ended up asking the cashier for my receipt to confirm that my order was placed. This was frustrating as we had originally entered the store as the only guests and 3 other parties had entered the store after us and received their orders before us. Fortunately, the associates closest to us near the pick up order section noticed that we had been waiting for an extended period of time and came out to ask what we had ordered to help us make our missing order. It's still good! But it's has fallen from it's hay day. The burritos used to be much larger and stuffed with meat, but now seem to be mostly full of cabbage and kimchi with only a few pieces of meat spread throughout. I've stopped getting them altogether and have now "settled" for the blackjack quesadilla....which is still a delicious blend of cheese, kimchi, and spicy pork. Well that did not happen to me when I finally got to try a Lobster roll from the famous LobstaTruck. A few years ago I was at the Tustin AMC when I saw the truck. I had heard about it so we went over only to see a line that was 40 yards deep. No way to make our movie so we put it off. A few months ago I was somewhere that they were going to be only to learn that the truck broke down and the killer was last month when I was in Irvine and saw on Twitter that they were a couple blocks away. I finished my meeting and drove right over only to see the driving away. Aaahhgggg!!!! So today was a few miles away in Long Beach and decided to try the roll. I was shocked to find that there was no line and only a few marines that had just picked up their orders. I was surprised to hear whether I wanted butter or mayo. I thought I all rolls came with mayo but I asked what was more popular. The gal mentioned that the butter was more popular so I had to try that one. I was thinking about adding the extra meat but I am glad I didn't, the roll was perfect although I wish it were a little bigger. The roll here comes on what looks like a giant buttered Texas toast, not the hoagie type roll I was imagining but the toast was really delicious and adds a lot of taste to the roll. My roll had plenty of meat and had a few big chunks that you can really bite into. It had some butter on the lobster but not so much that it was oily. Just perfect. I cant believe how good it was to taste this awesome explosion of deliciousness and I cant wait to get back to try the sandwich with mayo; you know for research. Next time I will also try the lobster bisque soup. The Marine that was eating next to me also had the soup and it really made me crave it but I had a big breakfast this morning and so I will have to chase down this truck again.
