Either they aren't billing the insurance properly or they are over billing the parents for procedures they were given estimates to weeks PRIOR to the actual appointment (that never mention the procedures they hill for). I received a bill for $409 for both a previous procedure done months ago (that I had no idea of) and a recent bill for procedures I was not told about in the estimate - because they ENSURED my step-daughters insurance would pay for it. Now they are billing me for $409, for procedures I wasn't aware she ever had the first time AND procedures no one ever mentioned in the second appt. Not to mention the bill shouldn't even be under my name - it's listed in their charts that their father receives ALL bills!

After some research and getting feedback from a friend that is a pediatric dentist in Houston, she highly recommended Alamo Heights Pediatric. After calling, I was able to make an appointment for the next day and the staff I spoke to over the phone was so nice and kind. I am not exaggerating when I say they were SUPER nice. Anyhow, when we got there they had our room ready and they got a polaroid photo for us to keep and remember his first visit to the dentist. We got assigned to Dr. Mikulec and she was amazing. The checkup only took a couple minutes, but I appreciate her taking extra time to make us feel comfortable and answer all of our questions. My oldest has never had a bad experience, and never minds going to the dentist. 4 year old son had a kinda rough 1st visit this year, but Dr. Doose made it as easy as possible to make sure my son didn't get too scared. Dr. Doose was able to examine my 4 year olds teeth in a way that was not too frighting for him. After a couple of days my 4 year stated "Daddy when can we go back to the dentist I won't cry anymore". A few years ago my oldest son fell on a escalator busted his mouth real bad and lost a tooth. The very next day Dr. Doose was able to examine him; thank God no serious damage was incurred. Booking the appointment was simple and all we had to do beforehand was fill out the new patient forms on their website. The ladies at the front desk were so sweet!
