Corey rescued us last night when our car was completely disabled. He safely and deftly loaded up the car, drove it to our mechanic (Quality First in Richardson- also wonderful) and then amazed us by depositing it perfectly in a single, crowded parking space on a rough dirt road behind the shop. It took a major accident at Rowlett Rd and Miller Rd, that I was involved in, to meet the wrecker driver, Aaron, and the receptionist, Jessica. Both employees went out of their ways to help. Aaron helped me with getting property out of my vehicle at the wrecker yard. The next day, I spoke with Jessica, about a piece of property that was left in the vehicle. After checking to make sure that I was allowed to enter my vehicle, I retrieved the property. Both employees went above and beyond in helping me. I just want to say thank you to both employees. There was unexpected breakdown on my wife's car yesterday at the intersection of Rowlett Rd and Roan Road. I called Cathey Towing and they guy told me that the fee was $75 and the Tow truck will arrive after 20 to 30minutes. The driver arrived after one hour and after towing the car to my home which was less than 7 miles, he charged me $149. read more

I had an unexpected break down on my Box Truck across town from my mechanics workshop. I called Cathey Towing because two years ago their late (passed away) driver was so pleasant and helpful. At the time the price was good and I thought I had found a good towing company. But, on this day it was the service from hell. I called in about 2 pm for a tow. The lady on the phone seemed pre-occupied with something else when she was getting my information. She told me it would be about 2 1/2 hours before they would be there. We hung up and I was like she didn't give me a price. I called back and she was even more pre-occupied as she put me on hold and then hung up on me. So 2 1/2 hours later nothing. No call no truck. I called them back to see what was happening and some man answered the phone saying this was the first they heard of my pick up. At this point it was after 5pm. Finally their driver who was very detailed hooked up my truck and took it to McKinney. So the office called me to collect payment. Mind you that I had this truck moved less than 70 miles for about $650. But at half this distance they charged me $1500! After going round and round with them they lowered the price by $375 (which isn't ****) and then said that they would impound my truck if I didn't pay. So what could I do? Pretty much extortion at this point. So for all the truckers I know I will spread the word of my story and leave it on as many different sites as i can to warn consumers of their inner workings. Don't deal with them. read more

I hope you never have need of a tow truck-but if you do I hope you can have an experience like we have had with Cathey Towing. On Dec 31 I had to call when my eldest totaled one of my cars. They came to pick up the car very shortly after we called and were very professional. They were also very concerned about my child and asked if she was OK on several occasions. They even remembered us three days later when I went to clean the car out and asked how she was doing. Very nice. Jan 20th I called USAA for roadside assistance when my van broke down. Not 15 minutes later a driver from Cathey towing showed up to get the van to the shop. He even gave me a ride home when he noted there was no one there to pick me up. Again he was very quick and professional. I will not hesitate to use them again, if the need should arise. read more

We've had multiple car problems in the past year, and every time we've called our roadside assistance, they've sent out Cathey Towing to help. The men driving the trucks have always been very friendly and helpful. The last time I called for a tow, he helped me troubleshoot the problem and got my car started again. Nothing too complicated, I thought it was something serious, but turns out the battery was dead. Yeah yeah I'm terrible with cars... Now we ask for them by name and would call them for any of our towing needs. read more

Incredible service! I had called my insurance company first for roadside service on a flat tire and they quoted me a 2 hour wait time! The Cathey's dispatcher I spoke with was friendly, professional, and reassured me they could arrive quickly. John arrived in about 15 minutes. I was stuck on the I-30 bridge in the narrow shoulder, which is a less than ideal place to be stranded. He had been sure to call for a police assist to close a lane, and also instructed me to stay seat belted in my car while he changed the tire. They clearly take care to keep everyone as safe as possible. We took care of payment once we drove off the highway, and he made sure to talk to me about my alignment so I didn't run into any issues in the future. Highly recommend them for any needs you have! read more

These guys are great..... Have rescued us a couple times now and most recently when my trucks transmission shifter cable bushing broke and left us stranded. Aaron arrived in less than 20 minutes and was very courteous and respectful even with the extreme heat he endured. These guys are great, my mothers car broke down in the right turn lane and the assistance truck was there within 4 minutes of me calling them. We were able to push the car into the gas station and apparently all it needed was gas. Super nice, super quick, super helpful. read more

DON'T USE THEM EVER !!! Had one of these tow trucks try to run me off the road while he was on the phone... Called them and they don't care. I told them I had to hit a curb in order to not cause a crash and they said it was my fault for being in my lane. If you use them realize your car or truck may be destroyed as the drivers and who ever answers the phone does not care!!! Went down and tried to talk with the owner who says "that is old damage" B.S. These guys are the worst do no ever use them!!!! Off to small claims court for me as the driver is full of crap and so is the owner who does not want to resolve it!!!!! read more

These guys are awesome! The latest equipment for towing heavy( tour bus). I called late at night, stranded on I 30 in Garland Texas. Guys were friendly and helpful. They didn't try to hold me up in my emergency situation. I had called two other leading towing companies and they were either unavailable or charged 70% more than these guys. Driver took care with my class A bus (took him 45 min to hook up). This is important. He knew that the hookup was the most important part of towing a vehicle this size. Found out later, they have the city contract for the City of Rowlett Texas. If I ever have a need for their towing service again, I would not hesitate to call them. I recommend them 100%! read more
