Fried Green Tomatoes and Onions rings

Customer service wasn't that good. We ask for catfish fillets and receive Catfish nuggets or whatever was left over. The Only Thing That Was Really good was The fried Green tomatoes.

This is the most abysmal looking food...

A friend and I went in there this afternoon at 3:30pm today. Needless to say, what we experienced was total blasphemy in foodservice... We stood at the door for about 10 minutes while several people passed us by, finally a server came and seated us. She gave us the menus at the table and then took our drink orders and then took off. She then came back to the table with silverware, 2 bowls of coleslaw, and a basket of hushpuppies. No plates, no condiments for the hushpuppies or anything. **My friend noticed behind me a couple that had been sitting with menus while we were being initially seated, no drinks on the table or anything, and they got up and left. If I had known this, I would have exited right then and there because that means they were never waited on to start with.** Well she brings our drinks out, setting them in front of the wrong person of course. Then she took our order... Ordered items: Appetizer sampler: $12.49 3 diff items: onion rings/fried green tomatoes/fried pickles, served with ranch and honey mustard Large Seafood Platter: $18.99 4 of each item: Catfish filet, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, fried oyster, a single stuffed crab, and a house salad w/ranch. (this entree included a potato *either fries or baked potato* hushpuppies and coleslaw (or you could upcharge $2 for a house salad to replace the coleslaw) **My question is this? Why are you charging me more for a salad to replace coleslaw that you've already brought to the table?** She then mentions there's a $2 upcharge on the oysters and this didn't make sense since they were listed ON THE MENU at that price point and included on the entree. I had to try to question her and finally say "You mean the price is higher than what's listed due to market price?" and she said "Yes, that's what it means." Choice of Two: $16.99 3 blackened catfish filets, a stuffed crab, and fries and a house salad w/ranch. (Again, this included the potato option, hushpuppies and coleslaw, so lather/rinse/repeat with that argument above) I stepped away for a moment, and when I came back about 4 minutes later, the salads and the appetizer was sitting on the table. A few minutes later, our server came back and asked if we wanted any more hushpuppies and drink refills and we obliged. She returned with drink refills, but no hushpuppies. Few minutes later, when we're about halfway through the appetizer and almost done with the salads, I see my friend look up acknowledging our server had arrived to my blind side with our food. She then sets down a plate of whole catfish and fries in front of me. I immediately turn to look and on the serving tray she has a hamburger and fries on there also. I then tell her that "This is not our order" and then she realized her mistake and picked it up and put it back on the tray and took off... We finish off the appetizer/salads finally and then she returns to the table about 10 minutes later (after the table sat next to us that came in about 5 minutes after we initially sat had their order and were eating already). She puts the ticket down on the table and asks "Would y'all like any dessert?" "Where's our FOOD we ordered?" "Let me go check on it and see what's the holdup" Roughly 10 minutes pass. Food sat on the table, it's practically cold, and I noticed there are no oysters on my plate at all. I asked to see a menu and pointed out that the oysters are missing from the plate. The server then states "Well he said we were almost out, but I figured he would have covered my order before they ran out. I can get something to replace it if you like?" I went about skimming the menu doing quick math in my head and agreed to get 4 additional fried shrimp to compensate for the alacarte cost of the oysters on the plate. She brings them out shortly after and we finally get to eat. *The blackened catfish fillets were more like "catfish cheeks" they were so small, not even a single full filet size altogether* We finished eating and left and had to explain to the person at the cash register that there were no oysters on the order and not to charge extra for it. Still, this meal came out to be $62 in total, which for Sysco heat'n'eat is RIDICULOUS. Needless to say, this place isn't worth the drive nor the money.

I ordered fish and fries. When I got my food it was cold, and the fish had a really strong taste.

This is a small little bakery; technically they have daily lunch specials but there's very limited seating so it's more of a grab-and-go type of spot. They also have premade dishes in tall coolers if you want to take and reheat something as an appetizer or an entree. Great for on the go engagements or as a quick fix for a family that needs feeding. There's also a selection of packaged breads made in-house and a dessert case. The service was extremely nice! I had a lovely chat with one of the employees. The only major complaint I have was that the store smelled really weird and unpleasant when I visited. I have NO idea what it was from -- I couldn't place the smell. Maybe a dish I don't like? Maybe the yeast for the bread? Not sure. It looked clean and had a good health code score, but the smell was rough. At any rate, I grabbed a slice of strawberry pretzel salad for right then, as well as a slice of Elvis cake (iirc) and a snickerdoodle. The strawberry pretzel salad had a pretty strawberry jelly top and was packed with lots of cream cheese filling! It was good, though I do wish there had been a thicker pretzel crust; sometimes I felt like I was mostly eating pretzel crumbs instead of an actual bottom of a layered dessert. Still, definitely yummy! Hubs and I enjoyed the Elvis cake later. It was super moist and sort of reminded me of a hummingbird cake. My snickerdoodle was special (peanut butter snickerdoodle? Coffee snickerdoodle?). It was a unique combo of flavors that you don't typically see but sadly I'm far enough removed now that I've forgotten exactly what. Regardless, it was good! Stop by and treat yourself sometime!

Good grief, I've driven by this place 1000s of times and never realized it was a bakery/eatery! I…read morethought it was maybe a salon. Along for the ride in my favorite sister's quest for the best locally made sourdough bread, we visited Suzanne's last month. It's small, and I think it may have had 2 little bistro style tables inside, but it may have had 3. There are several refrigerators on the floor with grab and go items such as a ground beef-based "John Wayne casserole," pimento cheese, various casseroles, maybe a 3-bean salad, chick salad, broccoli salad, and more. A stocked confection counter is where you order and pay. They had really cute Halloween cake "pops" for sale and their "sour dough" bread was on a small display on the right as you enter. They offer hot lunch specials daily Tuesday-Friday, 11-2 and a soup of the day at 6.49, ranging from said John Wayne casserole to chicken poulet and stuffing. We missed the lunch window and didn't purchase any of the grab and goes. The staff here are patient and friendly! Really nice! Sister and I each got a loaf or 2 of the sourdough, sister tried one of their confectionery items and said it was good. I also got two of their giant chocolate chip cookies for the hubs. The unanimous verdict on their sourdough bread is it is a good bread, especially for toasting; however, sourdough it is not. The bite I had was sweet and fluffy. Hubs and sister agreed it was delicious bread, just not sourdough. So, it's back to Publix for sourdough. Don't plan to eat in if you go to Suzannes, I told sister, "I guess most people get their lunch to go and eat it in the car, parked here, or back at work." Thanks, Suzzane's! I'm happy to have visited your shop and to see all you offer!

talk about a comeback…read more The Southern Table staff and management sought to ensure we had a great experience this time and excelled. Great customer service and I greatly appreciate their accountability/ willingness to make up for our previous visit. Last night we started with the crab croquettes, STELLAR. Absolutely loved and devoured these. The crunch on the croquette was to die for, topped with a refreshing crab salad, perfect. For my entree, I had the lamb rack with house potatoes & broccolini. My boyfriend had the blackened catfish with the grits. Both dishes were phenomenal . To finish up we tried their new chocolate strawberry bread pudding, so rich and delicious. This restaurant is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Northern Alabama. Go give them a try! We'll 100% be back.

This seemed to want to be a foodie destination. The half fried chicken included a small drumstick, small wing, piece of breast, and another piece that was unidentifiable but might have been a thigh. It had a spicy sweet sauce covering, which we opted to have on the side. That was a good choice because the hint of Cayenne was still too much for one diner. We asked about the slaw -- whether it was had a cream or vinegar dressing. The server described it as a "creamy vinegar." It made no difference because the dressing was so understated that the side tasted more like chopped cabbage than anything else. Disappointing. Finally, I asked the server whether the grilled green beans were actually that. I was more curious than anything else because grilled green beans would be would take longer to cook. She said yes, they were grilled. I don't think so. They came out fairly quickly and were pretty universally blackened on one side. Once our food was delivered, we never saw our server again until I asked her for the check. So, what I believe was intended to be an elevated dining experience was simply under executed.
