Yelp says they close at 8:30pm on Saturday. I guess tonight they closed at 7:20?‍
Mrs. B.

We have been to Libby's a few times and have always enjoyed the catfish so when we went to Point Mallard Park we decided to eat there on our way home. We pulled in the parking lot at 710 pm. Got out of the car and the little older lady (who has always been rude each time we go) was sitting outside smoking. I told my son, "watch this one, she's always grouchy!" And laughed. As we approached the door she said "If your going to eat you better hurry, we close in 10 minutes." I was kinda shocked because it was 7pm on a Saturday night and there were like five cars pulling in behind us. She was telling everyone they were closing in 10 minutes. My husband said, "Ok, sorry. I guess we will just go somewhere else." She says, " you can come in but we close in 10 minutes." He told her we didn't want to be rushed and she didn't say anything. Another lady stepped outside and was telling everyone to come on in. But her attitude had already ruined it for us. Idk if she is "Libby" but each time we go she has been rude. All the other staff has been great and the food was always good. We left upset and very disappointed because we were excited to eat there tonight. As we were walking back to the car I told my son.." See, I told you!" LoL Anyways.. if you can get past the door, the foods pretty good.

Husband and I were in Huntsville, AL and Libby's was recommend it to us. Servicer's were so nice. The sweet tea was so tasty. Not too overly sweet, but just right to me. Everyone got a piece of cake. Not sure why but it was good. Now for the food. I normally don't like farm raised catfish. but this catfish was so delicious I didn't even realize it was farm raised. The fried green tomatoes didn't have any kind of sauce with it but they were so good I didn't need it. My husband liked everything on his plate. The shrimp was flavored just right the green beans were flavored just right. The flavor of the okra was good but I wish they were a little warmer or hot. It was a home run I will definitely come back here when I'm in Huntsville again.

Very good food. A bit pricy but I enjoy it. I particularly like their catfish and steak dinners.

Great southern food. I'm not a big fan of catfish, but they have so much more to offer. I really liked their country breakfast.

Eat here a lot. The meat and vegetable plates for lunch are good. Hamburgers are a good choice, also.

This restaurant is across the street from the fairly popular Francesco's Italian restaurant. Having been there before, I didn't have any troubles locating this place. The parking lot is a little rugged in spots but at least there's plenty of space. The inside is a little sparse but there's ample seating and some kind of cool drawings hanging on the walls. A portrait of who I can only assume to be Minnie Lee is near the entrance. Food is served cafeteria style by some very nice people. Seriously, the service was so warm and sweet. We felt very welcomed there. We both decided on fried chicken for lunch. My mom got the last breast from the batch so I wound up with a thigh, which isn't my favorite piece but I still like it okay. You can have more than two sides if you wish, but we didn't. I chose yams and fried potatoes as mine, while my mom got yams and cabbage. Note that their cabbage is cooked with sausage. For bread, they offered standard cornbread muffins or hot water cornbread, which the friendly staff recommended (good choice!). We both opted for sweet tea to drink. I'm not sure of the price because of course my mom snuck in and paid for both of our meals before I could notice! Lol. We found a clean booth and dug in quickly. Overall, the food was pretty good! This isn't necessarily a new favorite soul food place for me, but I'd definitely come back. The best item was honestly the cabbage! My mom let me taste a bite. So flavorful and perfect texture. This is real, southern-style cabbage (which is to say, probably not great for you...but quite tasty!). The hot water cornbread was also really good. It's different than the hot water cornbread I've had in the past; this version was very crispy on the outside with super soft, almost gooey, corny inside. It was yummy. The yams were also solid! Not the best I've ever had (flavor kind of one-note), but they were sweet and soft. The fried potatoes and fried chicken were both just okay. The fried potatoes weren't super hot or crispy, but the added flavor from the onions was nice. The fried chicken's breading was crispy and flavorful enough, but the meat, even on the thigh, was a bit dry. Neither were bad, but if I return in the future, I'd probably try something else first. We were too full for dessert, but they had pecan pie and banana pudding on display. Overall, lovely service and tasty food make this a solid option in the area.

My family all had custom orders and all our food was just how we ordered it. No mistakes. No send backs. Flo's filets were tops and cooked exactly right for me and grandma. Although grandma said it wasn't as spicy as normal (???) I think she meant it needed a bit more peppercorn. My mom liked her burger. The parmesan crusted chicken looked good. Salads were fresh and nice portions with actual vegetables! Unlike Steak-out "salad". Pleasantly surprised. A nice send off meal for us out of town grandkids before heading back to the real world :D

Food was ok, server was very friendly though could have used a little more attention with drinks,…read morethe restaurant was clean and it still feels a little cramped after all these years. My steak, porterhouse, was cooked decent but a little too much char on the bottom was almost inedible. It didn't feel like a 22 ounce or whatever it was. I wouldn't order it again for the cost. I'd get the bone in ribeye at that point. If you get the most expensive steak they should balance it out with a strong potato with plenty of toppings, at least butter and sour cream. My wife's chicken was great! We'd come back, but we have other restaurants in town we like better.
