After playing golf in the Scottsboro area a group of 8 of us wanted to eat before driving back to Madison , which is almost 90 minutes away. Jefferson's has fantastic beer selections. It's like a sports bar. We all enjoyed it. Their food is very very good and of course the beer is very very tasty after a hot long 18 holes. read more

We found Jeffersons shortly after moving here, and it has become one of the go-tos for to-go food and even to hang out on big game nights - they have a huge local following, but big enough to always find a seat without waiting. The underground secret is... It's the best burger on this side of the mountain, has great service and ambiance, and easy parking to hang out and meet others in the neighboring areas. My go-to is the Guacamole Bacon burger with onion rings - the burger is great, but this would be a 5-star rating if the side portions (cough-onion rings- cough) were a little bigger, I get the economy and all but.... read more

Finally gave Jefferson's a try with the crew! It was a positive experience and we all agreed we'd return in the future. Jefferson's is a small, I'd say regional chain that seems to have a tendency to pop up in areas without a ton of dining options; there are locations in places such as Winchester, TN and Scottsboro, AL. Given this pattern, it's a logical addition to Hampton Cove, which has historically had a huge dearth of restaurants despite the population density and relative affluence of the area. We (me, hubs, sis-in-law, and her husband) came for lunch on a hot Saturday afternoon about two weeks ago. There were a few other people eating in at the time but they weren't crazy busy. We were seated quickly by our waitress, Shawna, who was great! They have a fairly large menu with a lot of American bar food favorites. Lots of appetizers (buffalo chicken dip, fried mushrooms and pickles, etc). For main entrees, they have wings, burgers, chicken, and somewhat weirdly...oysters? Not going there personally but it is an option! The atmosphere is basic sports bar, but it's clean and airy. There's a lot of seating and they seem to do a brisk carryout business too! BIL had apparently been craving a root beer float and was surprised to see it offered here as a summertime special. He and SIL both got one and declared it very tasty! We also got an appetizer of pretzel bites for everyone to share. The bites were incredibly hot and fresh, and served with beer cheese and "sassy sauce" that was a little like a sweeter honey mustard. We enjoyed them! Everyone except for me had wings (2 bone-in, 1 boneless order) and fries or tater tots. Resoundingly happy all around! My husband did wish he could split the flavors on his wings, but you have to get a really large order (I wanna say like 12+??) to do that, so he settled on one flavor. I had chicken tenders and fries and also enjoyed them! The tenders were very large and quite meaty. The breading could've used a tiny bit more salt or seasoning, but they went well dipped in the creamy ranch. Shawna was a highlight of our experience; without asking, she brought BIL more root beer for his float when he quickly drained the liquid part of it, allowed us to keep the queso and sassy sauce from the appetizer to dip our entree fries in, and was very prompt and patient getting extra sauces and refills as needed. Shout out to Shawna! Will definitely return to try more appetizers or get some yummy bar food or watch a game. Thanks for a positive first experience! read more

Jefferson’s - Chicken Tender Basket with Ranch - Burgers Near Me - Owens Cross Roads, Alabama

I am so happy we have this restaurant on our side of the mountain! We finally went to try it. They specialize in wings, but also have burgers and randomly.. oysters. I went for the wings. I chose to get a 12 piece boneless wing basket, double dipped in sauce, with curly fries. We also got the fried pickles. The fried pickles were very lightly breaded, and i prefer them that way. Everything we had was outstanding. Our server was wonderful! She was very attentive and we didn't miss out on anything. read more

Bottom Line: Food was okay. Service was not on par. Location was good Review: Nestled in a shopping center in Owens Cross Roads where part of it took over the defunct location of Yogurt Mountain, this restaurant still has a popular following and is busy most of nights of the week. They have a two sided menu with burgers, wings and beer. Other options if you prefer like wraps and salads. Food was just okay. Regular Wings like most places Our Food: - Ordered the Wings and the Fries. - The wings come with tortilla chips but you can sub fries for an extra $1.99 - Mango Habenero claimed to be spicy but was not spicy at all and I have a low spice tolerance. It tasted like they had sweet jam on it instead Service: - Service was slow and unimpressive. Had to flag down the waitress multiple times just to get refills Should you try it?: Give it a shot but don't do a "wait" for it. Just eat there if you can get in. Its not bad but its not one I will tell those to go to when asked where they should eat. read more

Jefferson’s - a large group of people eating in a restaurant - Burgers Near Me - Owens Cross Roads, Alabama

It was our first time here, we came on a Friday night with our grandsons. We were promptly seated and the place was bright and clean. The menu has an extensive selection to include a children's section. Our Server was friendly, helpful and on top of our needs. The food came out quickly and it was very good, the portions were ample. It's a sports bar and serves, everything you would expect. We had a great experience and I think you will also ! read more

Very good food. Great service and atmosphere. You can't go wrong picking Jefferson's.

Love the family-friendly atmosphere! The kids meals come with an ice cream sandwich, which my kids love. Their regular and sweet potato fries (with a sweet sauce) are delicious. Anything with their grilled chicken is so good. And my go-to order is their patty melt! My husband loves the wings, of course. Great food and great service! read more

The service was amazing! Our server was very kind and checked in on us the perfect amount! The food was delicious especially the melt! I totally recommend! read more

First time coming here and we went after church. We had the double cheese burger, hot wings and a salad. Everyone liked the food, staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. We will add this place to our to go list. read more

Food and service was phenomenal!!! Definitely recommend. The atmosphere is great and outside seating is nice and spacious.

I have to share this. I had dinner last night at Jeffersons in Hampton Cove I had the barbecue fried chicken chunks on white cheddar mac & cheese. It was recommended to me and it was the BEST MEAL EVER. I guarantee I will order that a ton and it's huge. If you haven't been to Jeffersons you got to go there and you got to have that mac & cheese it's AMAZING. Sorry I didn't take a pic. I just dove in!! read more

The food was great!! Cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Should've taken pics but I didn't think about it until it was too late.

Service was good but nothing on the menu is good absolutely terrible feels like eating cardboard and makes me feel like shit

I don't know who Jefferson but he was cooking with this place. Spicy garlic parm wings are absolutely marvelous. Atmosphere is always friendly and warm. Servers are good and sufficiently meet all you needs. If you want wings, or if you don't, come to my guy Jefferson's. read more

Ordered dozen raw, 2 soft drinks, shrimp basket and wings. Oysters not separated from shell, all crackers broken and not enough for each oyster, cool soggy sweet potato fries and bait sized shrimp. Never again and all for the low price of 85.00. read more

The wait time on the to-go orders is ridiculous. And the staff is inattentive to the customers. I've order twice with to-go orders and the wait time is literally 45 mins.... Steakout to-go orders are never that long! Not worth the wait for the pricing. We will stick with Wings To-go! read more

Their wings are amazing! Plenty of flavors to choose from. It's nice to have another good food option in Hampton Cove!

Great place to take the family for dinner or the guys to watch the big game! Wide variety of food and everything I have had in over 10 visits has been excellent. Service is personal and expedient. The wings are the best! read more

Maybe the best burger I've had in a while. Great service, friendly staff. Will be coming back soon!

Food is good, servers are friendly and cheerful, however how can you do business without a phone? Makes absolutely no sense. Ambiance is definitely lacking, no warmth whatsoever. Put some dimmers in, you've gone this far, make it great! read more

Just takes way too long to get food/understaffed. Seems to be a curse for restaurants in this part of Huntsville.

Wings! Lemon pepper extra crispy- buff sauce on side- 5 stars! Come for lunch at 11:30 or 12:15 and beat the crowd. Welcome to OXR Jefferson's! Just saw some fish tacos and onion rings come out that look great also! read more
