Visited Hank's on a Saturday night before a concert at The Caverns. We planned to eat inside but didn't manage our time well. However, we ordered a supreme pizza and onion rings to-go. The wait staff were kind and helpful, and we got our food in less than 15 minutes! Onion rings were very yum -- ate them all before I could even get a picture! We are new to the area so we are trying new restaurants when we are out and about. We stopped in relately early, 5pm, on a Saturday night and the place was packed. I still haven't figured out the local draw to the area but a party bus rolled up in the aprking lot just as we were entering Hank's so there must be a reason to visit the area. We seated ourselves at a high top table and Taylor immediately greeted us and took our drink order. She suggested the salmon brocolli bowl and the pork ribeye for my husband. We skipped lunch so we were starving and order some naked chicken wings to start. The wings were good and my husband loved the sauce. It was National margarita day so we got $4 margaritas and enjoyed our meal. I haven't ever heard of a pork ribeye but it was so tender you can cut it without a knife. Knowing how much my husband liked the wings sauce she brought extra for the ribeye. The brocolli bowl was ok and the salmon had good flavor. We will be back for sure! read more

Stopped in for dinner while visiting some property we bought in the area. Great place. Hubby had a ribeye and he said it was cooked perfectly. The home style fries are very good. I had the chicken tenders and they were great. Our waitress was very nice. Hubby had a short conversation with her since she didn't have that southern accent we are getting used to. I've been to Hanks more than half a dozen times since my last review. Not all that enthralled with their steaks, I started ordering double cheeseburgers, cooked medium. They were (past tense) outstanding. Hot pink center, juicy, delicious. Apparently they have a new cook. Last week I ordered one, medium, and it came out well done. I ate most of it and left. Assuming they were having an off day, I went back today and ordered one. I told the server about ordering it medium last week and it coming out well done, so I said this time I wanted it medium rare. Well, this time it wasn't just well done, it was burnt. Charred on the outside, dried out on the inside. I took one bite and pushed it aside. Another employee walked by, I thought maybe one of the owners (although I hope not), and asked if she could help me. I told her my story. Told her this makes 2 in a row, I can't eat one burnt and dried out. Her reply, and you can't make this stuff up, "I'll notate it", as she grabbed my tray of food and left with it. When my server came back by and asked what was going on, I told her. She apologized and said I didn't have to pay for it (since I couldn't eat it, and it wasn't prepared as ordered, I would hope not), but why did no one offer to redo it the right way? While I do appreciate my server letting me off the hook of having to pay $20 for something they screwed up and I didn't eat, why in the world would they not offer to cook another one? So I left, went to Rosie's Farmhouse Kitchen, ordered their double cheeseburger, and it was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. No need to go back to Hanks! read more

When I am in Tracy City I stop to eat at Hanks. For the past two years I have been enjoying the food and porter beer @ Hanks Corner. Lately it has been a challenge for Hanks to hire folks and therefore the hours have changed which has been a challenge for some. Stopped with my wife for some food. Right before walking in, some lady said to her husband "don't judge him", loud enough for us to both clearly hear. She's black and I'm white. Obviously it was a racist comment. Food wasn't good. Hamburger steak was tiny, greasy, over cooked. Roll was stale and cold. Stacy was our server and she was absolutely incredible! Probably the best server I've ever had. Her cheery personality and honest, thoughtful suggestions/recommendations were so helpful and she NEVER led us astray! She was so accommodating, willing to go the extra mile to make our experience enjoyable. We even had to move to a different table midway through our meal to accommodate more people who came late and she was so flexible and allowed us to move without a worry! My daughter had the wings with Hanks sauce and she said they were delicious. Her friend had the barbecue loaded baked potato and said the barbecue was good. They had a few local crafts on tap and then several can options. The appearance of this place on the inside contrast the outside. The outside you might get the impression it is a biker bar or locals bar kind of place. Inside is more friendly feeling and laid back. The waitress was very sweet and helpful too. My daughter ordered a flight of margaritas and she said they were stout so they didn't hold back on the liquor.
