The fried shrimp is PERFECT. You can get it grilled as well. The Mac and cheese is just ok. The regular fries and the sweet potato fries are well seasoned. The salmon is good. Catch count your effin days!! So I ordered two meals via Uber eats. 1 whiting w/ Mac & broccoli since it comes w/ 2 sides. The 2nd order was sweet chilli salmon w/ a side of mash & broccoli. I've never been inside the restaurant, but I heard of this place so I've been meaning to try it out. I saw it on Uber & the prices looked reasonable. When it arrives the food looked & smelled good so no problem there right. I also tried the Mac it seemed like it had lobster chunks in it. Which I didn't kno it came with bc I only asked for regular Mac but didn't mind. So as I proceeded to start eating. I noticed the broccoli looked funny. First & furmost it was brown & didn't appear fresh & green like steamed broccoli should. The mash potatoes also came burnt. Bit I still proceeded to eat. But then as I was about to Pick up another piece of broccoli. I noticed a freaking worm on the broccoli! Yes a worm! I'm Like you have got to be freaking kidding me! I Immediately was disgusted! I ordered my food through uber eats and I must say it wasn't worth my money. The order was to be 3-piece whiting with two sides and 6-piece jumbo shrimp two sides. What I received was 4 piece of shrimp, mash potatoes and brown broccoli that wasn't fresh topped with a whole bunch of chopped garlic. My second order I received 2 small pieces of whiting. The fish definitely taste frozen and wasn't fresh along with some tasteless yams and corn. Overall terrible. I called to inquire if it was a black owned restaurant and it is ! I tried to to catch the name of the 4 owners but all I heard was the name Dwayne. After confirming it was black owned, I placed an order on UberEats for pickup since I have a gift card. I ordered the 6 piece shrimp with a side of Mac n cheese, and broccoli. Usually i would get my food delivered but the other day i decided to stop by and pickup my food. The service once you come in is disgusting. They dont acknowledge you. This is one of those places that has ZERO customer service. They ended up taking an extra 30 mins to make an order of fried salmon. ONE ORDER. 30 MINS. My grandma with one arm can flip a salmon faster than that. I placed it on Uber so the chef just said "fuck it make them wait, its for Uber" ... The food is delicious. I usually order the fried whiting, shrimp, mac&chesse fries, corn etc. The whiting never disappoints. Fries are yummy. I took off one star because i think every one in a while they have a different chef who be slackin on the mac+chz but let me tell you!! When the right chef is on that MAC he will convert you!! I don't even like mac&chz but i tasted some of my daughters and baybeee! The workers are cool. I saw some folks complain of poor customer service but I've never had that experience. Ordered the salmon with 2 sides from here and was pleasantly surprised. The salmon was juicy and nicely seasoned. I had the Mac n cheese and corn as my sides. The Mac n cheese was good, corn had lots of butter. If you ordered over $15 you received a free banana pudding. That was a nice touch but the pudding was a little off.. had a lemony taste. Stumbled on to this restaurant on Door Dash . Happens to be in my town. I don't usually order seafood take out but figured I'd give it a try since we haven't been able to eat in at any good restaurants due to the pandemic. Honestly, this was the first take out restaurant out of the dozens that I've been using that wowed me. I was so happy with the fried shrimp as well as the fried whiting and banana pudding. I ordered the crab boil it barely had any "catch 24 sauce" and the crab legs tasted old it was mushy inside and barely had any meat anyway !! The lobster Mac & cheese lacked lobster and the broccoli came unseasoned and hard like a brick. The lady that was supposed to be sharing the food was on the phone with her friends , she had on no mask and was having a conversation on the phone while everyone was waiting for their orders . Catch 24 what can I say about it. Well for weeks this restaurant was coming up in the seafood category. I am a foodie so I figured why not spend my money in this business. Yesterday was not the best day to travel, since the rain was intense. This made the trip from Valley Stream to Elmont longer than usual. Upon arrival at the restaurant, they had two cashier and one chef. I saw that they had a customer sitting at the door, but the counter was empty. In my head, the customer was waiting and the cashier had taken their order. Standing at the corner this is what happened. No one greeted me to say hi we will be with you in a sec. It was just crickets. This prompted me to grab a menu and do the math to see how much I would spend in this business. It was two orders of crab legs and couple sides so around $60 including taxes. I placed my menu on the counter waiting for the cashier that had walked by me to talk with the customer in the chair. Still crickets. I even said hello. On her way back she had a cell phone the counter top, so she grabbed it and went to speak with the other cashier. Still crickets. If this spot was jerk chicken, cabbage, and rice, I could accept poor customer service, but seafood ain't jerk chicken. This is Covid times customers understand that you are busy and we are adjusting but a simple thing as hello will cost you customers. I wish this business the best, but a tip would be for you to invest in customer service. Didn't get to order or taste you food, but customer experience is first. I am leaving 5 stars simply because I just wanted to leave a review on how hospitable and great the staff is here. I went to pick up an order which wasn't ready yet. The host kept me updated when it would be ready and even offered me a drink on the house. They ran out of a side dish and offered me substitutes. Keep up the great attitudes even after a long shift! The last time I made them aware of the order being wrong the "supervisor Samantha" called me a liar. The wait time was far longer than provided although the items were called in ahead of time. My order was quoted at 20 mins, and wasnt ready for 45 mins. They run out of food 3 hours prior to closing as well. The front end workers have no tact and are disrespectful.
