Each teacher had a unique way of teaching students... I may not have always agreed on some techniques, like a parent signature on a students hw every single day... but they always had good intentions. We were on our 3rd principal as we are getting ready to move out of 5th grade. When we started attending here in the 5th grade, we started with Mr. Anchor (super wonderful), then My. Murphy- WHO DID THE MOST AMAZING JOB INTERACTING WITH ALL THE KIDS. There was NO ONE COMPARED to how involved he was. By far, MY FAVORITE PRINCIPAL OF ALL TIME. So sad to see him go, but super excited for his next role in life. The current principal, Mrs. Peterson, gave me mixed uneasy feelings. I personally went up to Mrs. Peterson about a serious matter and I was blown off... I was insulted by how little she cared about what a parent had to say. I don't feel like she's cut out for this school. Other than that... I was always welcomed onto the campus by the ladies working in the office, Jan & Carol, who I understand are retiring. When they are gone, you will really be missing out on a wonderful warm welcome. Every year has been so much fun...watching all these kids grow. Losing teeth, hair cuts, to new siblings... it's am important time for our kids and I feel like some of the warmest of memories were made here... Thank you for a beautiful 6 years... Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for the staff, the environment, and the programs and activities planned throughout the year. I feel at ease when I drop my daughter off because I know she is safe. The hours are so accommodating with my work schedule which helps immensely. I do and will continue to refer this school because of the outstanding curriculum. My four year old is reading. When she was three, she was writing. I have high standards for my child, and cadence academy, the teachers and the directors have exceeded my expectations.

The Montessori curriculum combined with the four fantastic teachers would be unmatched elsewhere. Our daughter has had the most WONDERFUL past year here. She is learning an incredible amount -- academically, practically, and interpersonally. The teachers are absolute gems who are professionals in every sense of the word and foster the most warm and supportive environment for the kids. The Montessori curriculum lets kids thrive in their independence within a structured, orderly & prepared environment. I am in awe of what our daughter has been able to do, even at such a young age. A year before joining RMA I started asking moms in the community where their children go to…read morepreschool and if they like it, and time and time again RMA came up as being the go to preschool in the area. They have a waitlist for a reason. The grounds are beautiful with open space for kids to play and there are two locked entry points w security codes to get in; the grounds are fenced to keep kids safe. The classrooms are clean and Montessori educational items are placed at eye level accessible for children to interact with. Montessori language, such as calling the activities "jobs," is used, along with the traditional "walk around the sun" ceremony that takes place on a child's birthday. The school uses an app to communicate with parents showing pictures of their child during the day so you know what they're working on. I made it a point to check in w teachers at drop off/pick up time so there was always clear communication and collaboration with the school. The staff were all professional and kind in our experience. Our child has grown so much in the years we have been at RMA. At a recent elementary school assessment we were told she scored a grade level above academically on the kindergarten readiness test. Our child loves science after having weekly hands on science experiments in the classroom; she mastered letter and number recognition; she can write her name and has developed critical thinking skills thanks to her teachers and a school environment that encourages curiosity. The performances the school puts on throughout the year are really precious. The kids work hard at learning the songs and a lot of care goes into the events. I don't know the circumstances behind the negative reviews here, but I fully respect that Ms. Janet does not air any dirty laundry on a public forum like this. All I know is that RMA has a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for the children enrolled, and from our own individual experience, they have done so. Our experience with RMA has been nothing but heartwarming and positive and we will miss it.

UPDATE 2 - While I respect that some families may have had positive experiences, it is important to…read morerecognize that not every parent or child undergoes the same kind of treatment, communication, or support from lead teachers. One parent's positive experience should not be used to dismiss or respond to concerns raised by other affected parents. There is no need to invalidate someone else's experience when the focus should simply be on sharing one's own. In our experience, concerns regarding ADHD and behavioral differences were discussed, but what was difficult was how those concerns were approached. Sensitive matters involving a child's struggles should remain professional and parent-centered, rather than becoming discussion points in ways that affect relationships with other families whose children were friends with mine. I have heard two of the parents approach me and letting me know that my child's conditions were discussed with them and told their kids not to be friends with him. Despite being uncomfortable and concerned, they informed me about this so I would be aware of it. What became especially concerning was when my child began coming home visibly distressed, crying, and repeatedly expressing that he felt pressured by the green class teacher into accepting the blame for an incident he consistently said he did not do. From our perspective as parents, it appeared that instead of carefully understanding the situation, there were moments where he felt pushed to agree with accusations or accept responsibility despite insisting otherwise. Watching a young child become emotionally distressed to the point of crying at home and describing feeling pressured in this way significantly escalated our concerns and aggravated an already difficult situation. More importantly, identifying concerns should also come with meaningful support and guidance. Instead of collaborative strategies, accommodations, or support to help my child succeed, it often felt like the child was only commented on having ADHD and also blamed for behaviors -- such as moving quickly through activities or transitioning to another task instead of staying engaged in one work for extended periods. Expecting a young child to remain focused on a single activity for more than 30 minutes without understanding developmental needs or learning differences did not feel supportive. When I approached the lead Green Class teacher to discuss how we speak to and guide our child when he was not listening, I was told that she had significant experience handling children and did not like parents giving suggestions. I found this response dismissive because, during a meeting when we genuinely asked for suggestions or strategies to better support our child, we were told there were none and were instead asked the same question in return. However, when I attempted to offer open suggestions based on what worked for our child, this was the response I received. This felt particularly concerning when it already seemed as though there were ongoing struggles in understanding, handling, and supporting our child's individual needs rather than working collaboratively to help him succeed. Comparing a 6-year-old child to a younger child, such as a 4-year-old, was also unhelpful and discouraging. Every child develops differently, and comparisons do not provide constructive support or understanding for a child's unique strengths and challenges.

We were initially unsure about moving to a larger childcare center, but Childtime has completely changed our perspective. We have been beyond impressed with the care both of our daughters receive. Our infant recently started as well, and the teachers have made the transition so smooth. They provide love, comfort, and attention while supporting her development through activities like tummy time, sitting practice, and art projects. We also love the SproutAbout app, which keeps us updated throughout the day on meals, naps, diaper changes, and more. The classroom cameras provide extra peace of mind and allow us to check in whenever we're missing our little ones. Most importantly, every staff member, from the administration team to the teachers, is kind, approachable, and genuinely invested in the kids. A few things we noticed: She had a really hard time adjusting and ultimately never did. We never encountered this at her previous daycare. We would see on the camera into the classroom that she would follow the teacher around crying most of the day and was rarely consoled. This broke my heart to watch. They put the kids down for naps wearing shoes. Not a big deal but doesn't seem like something that would make the kids feel very comfortable and at home. She was potty trained (pee only) when she started and was wetting her pull up non stop at the daycare (they logged accidents). Maybe this is more common for larger corporate daycares (we came from a home daycare with 8 kids). Overall, we felt like the vibes did not instill trust, love, and comfort, especially when she needed it during a difficult adjustment.
