Moved to area end of the school year / start of summer and to be honest was worried about kiddo (4yrs old) settling in and being comfortable at a new school. "Application" process was easy and I did a virtual tour via FaceTime with Millie (one of the owners). She was super calm and answered every single question I had & showed me every nook and cranny or the school and where kiddo was going to be. PK2 here we come! 1st day I don't think it ever gets easier sending your kiddo to a new school. Kiddo was a touch apprehensive of a new environment but Teacher Nikki was so incredibly warm and welcoming to kiddo (and hubs and I)! Immediately I knew he was going to be just fine. We met Teacher Monique the next day or so - they coteach PK2 - and she's a gem. Both teachers are warm & caring (like aunties) and their love for teaching shines through! The classroom Together Monique & Nikki have created a thriving classroom full of areas to explore with defined spaces & boundaries. There a reading circle, pet fish, reading pod, and then nap mats for the kiddos to use after lunch before afternoon activities. If the kids don't nap they do have the option to read/look at books quietly. The PK2 classroom has two restrooms with kiddo sized toilets and sinks. Each season brings new decorations to the classroom (and school). There are days when kiddo is having a rough morning and both Teacher Nikki and Teacher Monique are angels getting him into class quickly, settled and then sharing with us that he's ok which I so appreciate because there's nothing worse than leaving your kiddo in tears! The school overall Goddard does a host of extra activities- summer bbq, Father's Day celebration, Trunk-or-Treat, holiday concert to name a few. Each brings the Goodard teachers & families together in a special way, along all to get to know each other a little better, enabling us partner for our kid's. Goddard is a pretty special place. The curriculum is great but the quality of people that run the school is not so great. The activities are incredible, but again teacher quality is low. The photos and notifications sent for my child were amazing and made me happy. The ceremonies and school events (I.e. graduation, holiday show were poorly organized and run). My child left and stated that he liked his public teacher more than his preschool teacher. The owners seem to think that they are on better than any other program that's available. They have stated to me during a heated discussion that "they are the best". The owners will consistently side with teachers. The owners and general population there is primarily affluent leaving low income families to feel outcast. The availability is strictly at 7am which limits working class families to get to work on time. There wasn't any option, even cost based, to drop children off early. The owners decided to take payment from parents during every federal and state holiday by closing the school. Additionally, they would frequently close the school for staff development days, all while paying full price with children at home (which included taking days off work as well). read more

This school is the absolute best in the area! Our son had a fantastic experience in every classroom that he was in. Their entire staff is excellent across the board. They are all so nice and welcoming to each child, which was so great to see. The owners are wonderful and very friendly. A few perks that this school offers: they have visitors come teach the kids music, science, perform puppet shows etc. They also offer a "Soccer Shots" program where students can play soccer for 30 minutes a week with friends during school hours. Those are just a few examples of some great opportunities/experiences that they have at the preschool. It's an overall excellent place for children to learn and grow! read more

The program and security of the school are sufficiently good, so as long as you don't have to deal with the mealy-mouthed man who runs the place it's a fine option. But if you have to deal with the owners RUN don't walk to your next option. Edit: anyone who wants to know more absolutely should call the number they provided. In fact, I left my review sparse on purpose because I fully expected them to share my family's personal information publicly given the fact they unnecessarily shared many other family's personal information with me when it had little to nothing to do with our situation. We were so excited to see this new preschool open in Rocklin after hearing such great reviews on their philosophy and teaching style over the years. Goddard Schools are well known on the East Coast and starting to expand in the West and we couldn't be more thrilled that our son is able to take advantage of this great curriculum in our own neighborhood. We moved our son from another reputable preschool in Rocklin to take advantage of the educational opportunity Goddard School offers. The owners Ash and Millie, have been wonderful and responsive as the school was getting ready to open and they obviously have done a stellar job in hiring. The director is phenomenal and the teachers are warm and engaging. While there is certainly something about a brand new facility, new toys, playground, etc., this school has much more to offer than pristine facilities. After just a month, we have been impressed in all regards. We are greeted with genuine kindness each day and we love getting the detailed reports and photos each day showing what our son has done during his day. It helps us talk with him about the projects he learned. He is excited about attending class and we see his mind expanding every day. Hands on play, arts and crafts, cooking projects, science, nature, computer work, language, yoga, etc., he is learning while playing at Goddard and we can feel good about how he spends his time when he is away from us. I know, personally, I'd like to just hang out there on a day off; it just looks like so much fun and has an air of friendliness and learning about it. I look forward to someday soon, coming to share with the kids the aspects of my job in the big people world. I mean, who would want to hear stories about flying airplanes? Who wants to make paper airplanes and fly them outside? I do! We feel very fortunate to have gotten our son in this incredible school at the onset, because we are certain as word spreads, spots in this preschool will be difficult to secure in the future. We genuinely love this school. Both my son (2) and daughter (4) have been going to Goddard since Aug. 2021. Being a caretaker of small children is not easy. The work is tireless. The teachers at Goddard are caring, patient and kind to my children. They are constantly doing art projects, playing outside, reading books, and making sure the kids are well taken care of. They also have people come in to teach math, do science experiments, teach music and even puppet shows! They really try hard to make sure the kids are growing and learning. The staff are very friendly and always seeking to make sure the students are well taken care of. My daughter is in the pre-k class and when I pick her up in the afternoon she sometimes doesn't want to leave because she's having so much fun playing with her friends. The Goddard School has exceptional staff in the classrooms and in the office. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The teachers are smart, fun, and silly. The administrative staff is helpful, informative, and approachable. The owners are attentive and generous. The Goddard School is a wonderful team of professionals that show incredible care and interest in the children who walk through their front doors. I picked this school because even though my daughter is only 14 months, they understand that early exposure to languages/science/art and curriculum through play is beneficial. Since starting at Goddard, my daughter's expressive language has picked up, she has had more exposure to the arts and sciences than I could have imagined giving her at home and she clearly loves, loves the staff, her teachers and just being there. I am incredibly grateful to have found this school and feel so good about where she is spending her days (even though I miss her, I know being at this school is SO good for her). I love this school. My daughter started in the infant room back in early 2018, and my three kids combined have been in every age-level class they offer. My youngest son is currently in one of the preschool rooms, and we have had nothing but great experiences. We love the owners, Ash and Millie, as well as the rest of the school leadership and all of the wonderful teachers. Our son has been lucky enough to have Ms. Fran, Ms. Zoe, and Ms. Reyna this year, and all have been incredible. They are so warm and friendly, and he has learned so much. The school is great with communication, and puts on really nice events for families as well. As a bonus, they partner with Soccer Shots, so we've been able to sign our son up for soccer without cutting into the busy dinner time. Our son even takes a nap every time he is there, despite that he won't take them anymore at home. The facility is always clean, and my son gets to participate in all sorts of fun, hands-on learning experiences. We love how personable everyone is. Everyone (directors, owners, and all facilitators) knew my daughter by name and always made her feel so special. There are two teachers in particular that I want to call out for how amazing they have been - Ms. Alondra and Ms. Lily. I can not say enough positive things about these two ladies and hope they are treated like GOLD because that is how they made my daughter feel. Entrusting a one year old to anyone outside yourself and your partner is a tall order. I'm not sure we would have ever seriously considered it had Goddard not come so highly recommended by friends we trust. I am, however, incredibly glad we did. The Goddard school has been absolutely incredible over this last year. Our son has grown so much, socialized so well, and been cared for incredibly by the teachers and faculty. The first steps class (where he started) and every class since has been top notch. We will, however, be uniquely grateful for Miss Kelly in First Steps. Our son took to her so quickly, despite the anxiousness of a new environment away from us and she was absolutely great with him. We have been at The Goddard School in Rocklin for two years now! If you want a school where your kids come home sparkling clean at the end of the day, this probably isn't it. They are constantly playing, learning, growing, and yes, during that they can get messy. I've already picked my kids up and they look like they've been in a mud tornado. I ask what happened and it's always a story about how something awesome happened :) My oldest daughter has recently graduated and will be starting Kindergarten next week. I feel she is well prepared, thanks to her time at Goddard. She is able to better control her emotions using strategies taught during her time there, her social skills have improved tremendously and helped her blossom into a social butterfly! Our youngest daughter has just moved into the PK program and the transition has been smooth. They slowly introduced her to the teachers and classroom over the course of a few weeks so she was ready to move up with no tears. Each day we are greeted by smiling staff who know our whole family by name, remember details and genuinely care. We definitely feel like we are more than an invoice. They host holiday programs, summer BBQs, charity auctions and many other events to socialize with fellow parents. We toured many preschools in and around our home in Lincoln before we found The Goddard School and I would encourage everyone else to do the same. Along the way we found many who had little to no security measures, unauthorized people in the home during care hours, falsely claimed they were licensed, uninsured etc etc... In the end, it's been the best choice we could've made for our family. Our kids are safe, loved, cared for, educated and having so much fun! You can't put a price on that! read more

Goddard Rocklin is absolutely the best! All the staff, teachers, administrators, helpers, etc have been amazing to our family over the last 5 years. We are forever grateful to every single person who has helped us in every way possible @ Goddard. From the first day of school when we dropped our son off at 3 1/2 months with tears flowing out of our eyes, to the amazing Pre-K Graduation where tears continued to flow. They pour their hearts into everything they do. Every single person has been so kind, patient, accepting, and understanding not only to our son, but to us- as parents. They have been tremendously helpful and have provided such caring/unconditional support. We moved to this area 9 months ago. As every parent knows... choosing the perfect school is probably the most important thing on our "To Do List". Do yourself a favor and pick Goddards! Millie and Ash are awesome. Our son, had Miss Liz, Miss Caitlyn and Miss Katie in his get set room. They have made moving from the Bay Area a great experience. School is fun for our son, he's bonded and had the most amazing experience with them. The environment they created for the kids is something our 2 1/2 year still talks about. From there he moved on to the next class, where he has Miss Sadie... who worked with his previous teachers to transition and learn about our son to make her class, just as enjoyable. One of our favorite teacher's is Ms. Lorena Gomez, Ms. Fran and Ms. Michelle. They really care about my daughter's well being and that she is comfortable in class. Best preschool in Rocklin. We absolutely love The Goddard School. Our daughter is learning so much. Her teachers go above and beyond to make learning fun. Everyday you get a daily report of the learning objectives and what activities they did to master those skills. I am always shocked when my daughter can tell me everything she learned that day. They encourage hands on learning and higher level thinking. Ms Fran has the biggest heart , was definitely meant to be a preschool teacher and Ms. Rachel has a lot of experience and makes learning relatable and so much fun. Our son is just about to start in Ms. Lorena's class and we cannot wait! She is the reason our daughter began to love school and our son cannot wait for her to be his teacher. She is structured and always greets you with a smile. How do I even begin to express how much we love everything about Goddard, Rocklin?! Being a first time mom, going back to work was the hardest day I've experienced as a mom so far. How do you even leave your little 3 month old with complete strangers?! But, as soon as I started crying in the middle of our daughter's infant class on her first day, Ms. Monique instantly showed her compassion and caring, and I knew we were sending our daughter to the right place. She even sent me extra pictures that first week, which I loved getting on their Tadpoles app. Everything about Goddard is pristine. I felt so comfortable that everything was clean and orderly when I dropped her off everyday, and when I picked her up. Their attention to every detail, including security and safety, made my husband and I feel instantly comfortable. All of the infant teachers, and Millie, the owner, were so accommodating and welcoming. We ended up having our daughter attend for five days a week, instead of three, and they were able to accommodate that change with no problem. Ms. Monique and Ms. Kelly show a true love for their jobs and I honestly felt like our daughter was getting so much one-on-one attention - it feels more like an "in-home" daycare, rather than a large daycare. Although the infant class had up to 9 babies at one time, the care that they showed for each baby made us feel so special and that we felt our daughter was truly being nurtured. We were so sad when we had to take Emma to a new daycare because we ended up moving out of Rocklin. Looking back on our first day at Goddard, it was nothing compared to our last day, when we had to say goodbye to our daughter's infant teachers, who became her dear friends. We miss Goddard, but highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to take your babies and feel completely comfortable. read more

Our daughter is the most important person in our lives and we feel safe sending her to Goddard. The teachers are great, the staff is great, the owners are great and we feel very lucky to have found this place. Our daughter started here at 10 months and is now 3 and there is no where else we'd rather send her. As an update (an entire year later!) our daughter is still thriving at the Goddard School as a young Toddler! My daughter has been enrolled in Goddard since they opened and we absolutely LOVE it!! She has learned so much and is always doing fun art projects, learning activities, playing outside and has made a bunch of friends who she talks about nonstop. Our daughter is currently in the infant room, and we have been super impressed with the Goddard School in Rocklin. The teachers are kind and engaging, so much so that my daughter is excited to see them when we arrive rather than being preoccupied with me leaving. We really love the pictures that we receive to our phones throughout the day and the detailed daily reports. My daughter is difficult to get down for naps (especially in a setting where she can see other kids playing), but they have managed to match our home schedule and get her to go down daily for two naps, which allows her to be rested and refreshed when we pick her up so that we can enjoy our evening with her. When I pick her up she never seems to be hungry, thirsty, or in need of a diaper change, which reassures me that her needs are being met. Their whole system is very organized. They also have a wide range of toys and sensory activities for the kids. All of the staff (front office and teachers) are very professional and friendly. We feel that the facility is very secure, and the main area and the classroom are both always very clean. As a teacher myself, I have high standards for how a school and classroom should operate, and I have been pleased with what I have experienced. read more

The negative reviews on this page are real. I'd never enroll my kid in this school. We visited for a tour on the day it was raining and all the kids were inside sitting in their wet clothes. How can they make the kids go outside in the rain and not come up with an alternative activity? Plus the teachers were giving the children iPads to watch because all the children couldn't stop screaming. The kids looked miserable and bored, I'd scream too to get out of there. I could not be happier with a preschool. Selecting Goddard in Rocklin was the absolute best decision I made for my family. The owners, Millie and Ash, are simply amazing. They run an outstanding program and select only the best staff to educate our kiddos. The educational and engagement activities are unparalleled. When I was 6 months pregnant a friend of mine recommended checking out Goddard for when I went back to work. My husband and I set up a tour the next day at Goddard and four other well-known schools in the area. Goddard was our first tour. We loved it so much, we canceled our other planned visits and signed up for Goddard that week. From the security to get into the building to the protocols around literally everything in the classrooms, it was clear they knew what they were doing. We started in the infant room at 3 months, and are still with Goddard today at 18 months. We get daily updates through Tadpoles with photos and information on everything she did that day from what she ate at lunch, to how long she napped, and any educational activities she participated in. We knew the school had all the business, cleanliness, STEM learning, and security aspects we wanted, but we have been more blown away by the love the teachers have shown us and our daughter. Ms. Trivia and Ms. Kristine are amazing and loving teachers. They are keyed into our daughter's needs and have taught her so much in her time in their classroom. Because of the sign language program in their class, we have far fewer struggles understanding our daughter's needs compared to friends with children the same age. By 14 months, she was able to use sign language to tell us things like "more", "all done", "Eat", "please", "water", "thank you" and more. I like to think it's helped us avoid several tantrums :-) I strongly recommend Goddard to all our friends and have even had a few join us at the school. It really is like a small family and I will never grow tired of literally every teacher and staff member knowing my daughter's name and saying goodbye to her when we pick her up from school. We feel so much relief knowing she goes somewhere where she is loved and cared for but also where she feels comfortable and happy. We moved to Rocklin from the Bay Area almost two years ago and needed immediate childcare for our boys. After visiting a couple of daycares and schools, we decided on Goddard because we really liked the facility and the owners. We're glad we chose it! My older son has learned so much during his time there and I'm always amazed at the knowledge he retains. He loves his teachers and all the fun activities they plan. My younger son has learned to walk, do sign language, and naps like a champion now. We've made friends with other parents so while we're new to the area, we feel like we're part of a community now. When we asked if there's any provision in the contract for natural disasters, wildfires, earthquakes or Covid outbreaks they said that we have to pay no matter what. Even if my kid can't safely attend school. I had to sue another school for this reason and I don't want to have to be ripped off again. The director claimed they still pay their staff when closed so the parent has to foot the bill. We decided not to attend based on their contract policy. read more
