When I say beautiful, I mean the materials the children get to interact with every day are next level. Everything feels so intentional, carefully chosen and really aligned with the Montessori method. Our daughter has attended Rocklin Ranch Montessori from 16 months old through age four, with some pauses along the way while I stayed home with her and later had two more girls. But we have always come back to Rocklin Ranch, and Aman and the teachers who have had our girls have been excellent. One of the best parts of the school is the communication. They send daily updates, especially for children in the 16 month to 3 year age range, and weekly photos. Their newsletter is wonderful and keeps parents updated and it is so special to regularly see photos of your child with their friends throughout the week. They also have a great skills chart where they track what your child is learning and working on. The outdoor play area and playground are gorgeous. There is a beautiful little garden and outdoor space where the children get to eat lunch and the whole environment feels sweet, calm and thoughtfully cared for. I also really appreciate that the children have the opportunity to nap for up to 2.5 hours, which is such a gift for young kids. They also have an option for the girls to play soccer during the day, which has been really great for our family and has simplified the need to put them in an extra soccer program after school or on weekends. Their pick up and drop off hours are also extremely flexible which has been so helpful for us. We currently have two daughters enrolled in Montessori and one of the sweetest parts is that they get to see each other during the day. That has honestly changed childcare for us, just knowing that they are both there together and near each other, instead of totally separate all day. Most importantly, Rocklin Ranch actually adheres to the Montessori method in a peaceful, organized and intentional way. For our family it has been so worth it.

Rocklin Ranch accepted our son, but had us ramp into a full day care very slowly. Like an hour a day at first. I've never had this experience--neither of my 2 boys ever had such a slow transition period across 3 other day care programs between them. This was frustrating as I my husband and I work full time and paid for full time care but the director, Aman, kept saying he wasn't ready. He was crying too much and it was disrupting other kids. Once he was adjusted things seemed to be going fine, with some comments about rowdy behavior or getting up during circle time from his teachers. We said we'd work on it and both sides acknowledged is was developmentally normal but something to work on at school. His teachers seemed fine working with him on this, but the director, Aman, constantly talked about how disruptive he was. My son was put on probabtion by the director despite a good parent teacher conference. In fact, his teachers were incredibly good natured about my son's "disruptive" behavior and we even shared a laugh over one of the more ridiculous things he did. We would check in all the time and his teachers reiterated to us that he was rambunctious but normal, one teacher said he was just like her nephew and she knew how to work with a kid with his temperament. But then, when this teacher was out of town ... and my son acted up a little cause his favorite teacher wasn't there ... the director, Aman, called and told us he was being kicked out and we had something like 2 weeks to find other care. Not only was this really disruptive for everyone, it was just sad. My perfectly normal toddler was acting like a toddler and was rejected from a school for doing so. It was definitely for the best--he went to another school and thrived and we all made good friends there. But I will never forget how bad this experience was with Rocklin Ranch and I will let anyone I know considering that school not to go there.

We emailed Ms. Denise for a tour and she left a lasting impression on us just because of her quick and detailed responses. We are so happy with our decision to have our children attend KinderCare. At the time, our son, Jordan, was 3 years old and our daughter, Jessica, was 9 months old. There are no words to describe how wonderful this school has been to our family. We LOVE the daily reports and photos. I've actually created an album for the kids with the photos KinderCare provides on a daily basis. It's nice to see pictures of what the kids did during the day. We are very impressed with the cleanliness of the school. Shoes aren't allowed in the Infants room and the rule is enforced. We love Ms. Ashley from the Infants room. I actually look forward to pick-ups just to get my daily report (verbally and in writing) of how Jessica did throughout the day. Ms. Ashley is so caring, loving, and nurturing. I feel like she's a friend I get to visit before I pick up the kids. I already miss her since Jessica will be moving to the Toddlers room soon. Jordan started out in the 3's room with Ms. Lizzy and Ms. Doris. We were a bit worried about how he would transition to the new school because he left his friends at the old school. We were so relieved because Jordan did so well with the transition. It was all because of Ms. Lizzy and Ms. Doris. Jordan looks forward to going to school each day. Jordan recently moved up to the 4's room and we already love Ms. Stephanie. She is super nice and informative on Jordan's school work. I feel like I know all the teachers and they just make us feel like we are part of their family. Ms. Desiree always gives me updates on the cute, little things Jessica does that melts my heart away. There's also Ms. Tayler, who helps watch Jordan while I pick Jessica up from the Infants room. In all, my husband and I are very happy with KinderCare and highly recommend this school. My boys had both been with a private nanny their entire lives - and we were extremely nervous about transitioning them away from private home care and into a school environment. The Merryhill team was fantastic and so supportive during the transition. My youngest especially had a difficult time with the transition. The teachers were so patient and kind with his crying at drop off - and would provide us updates on how he was doing via the school app. I also really like how they have big windows into each classroom; I am able to watch my boys and see how happy they are in their classroom before they notice I am there to pick them up. Both of my boys absolutely adore their teachers (Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Liz, Ms. Nicole, and Ms. CeCe) and look forward to seeing their friends every day. Beyond my boys being comfortable and happy - they have also learned so much in their time at Merryhill. Nearly every day I'm surprised by something new they've learned - like my 4 year old learning how to count up to 100, count in tens, learning the months of the year, and starting to read. My youngest learns new words every day, has learned his colors, how to count to ten, and is learning important social skills (like how to share). I went to a coffee shop at the Fountains working while I sat outside. My attention was peaked when I overheard two woman nearby speaking about thier faith and I resonated with what they were saying so much that I had to ask them what church they went to as I was currently looking for a new home church. They happily invited me to sit down with them and get to know them briefly as they told me about their church. Then I tried their church at Bayside Adventure. I didn't tell them I was going as I didn't want special expectedness. I went wanting to see the real people involved at Bayside & I was genuinely, tentatively impressed with such a warm, compassionate filled presence. I love that I'm not attending a rock concert in the dark! I love that the pastoral team actively encourages you week to week to follow along in your own Bible, not just expecting you to passively listen to them. I will say, you receive what you put out, if you want to get connected- connections are easily made. If you want to keep to yourself, no intrusion is put upon you. Ive been attending, skipped a couple weeks and each time returning to happy faces that genuinely seem happy to see me and continue to be welcoming. I highly recommend this church, the children's ministry is a huge part of this church too, welcoming families, singles, empty nesters, seniors, men, and women. I would easily say there's something for everyone.

The last few days have hit us conservatives hard, been quite emotional and hopeful for God to heal…read moremy heart - so I visited Bayside church on Sunday in hopes of getting the support and prayers. That did not happen: Bayside leaders messed up big time - they did not say a prayer for Charlie Kirk's family or at least have a moment of silence to honor his memory - I left sad and heartbroken... My friends said even Catholic Churches recognized Charlie. Bayside worship leader and pastor did nothing to honor a great Christian who was martyred - I watched the memorial service on YouTube and was so touched... I haven't been to church for awhile, so the visit was truly disappointing- from worship being a performance (overly loud music, lights and video on side screens focused on drummer, etc), this was clearly not about Jesus. Too many inconsistencies in pastor's message, from saying there's true evil in this world and then saying that it's also in all of our hearts: speak for yourself dude... Pastor even joked that he was giving a Ted talk - yeah, it felt like rehearsed speech that he's getting paid for, I didn't trust his words like I believed Charlie Kirk; being a young man trying to find God - I was quite disappointed, didn't feel like this church cares about me.. At one point the pastor said that we're all selfish and our circle of friends are people who like us: does he want us to surround ourselves with people who hate us? Besides few welcoming faces at the entrance- no one came up to chat or cared enough to pray for me. I won't be back and can't recommend this church. I'm sure some churches actually practice what they preach- but not bayside leaders - they are woke liberals, as I'm sure many members are here... From 2005-2020, I served/volunteered and donated a lot of time and $$ to Bayside - no pastor ever recognized my service and donations(even Ray Johnston or Kurt Harlow whom I met) and I came to realize that this liberal mega-church business model is focused on raising $$, not care about people - it's truly a disappointing and heartbreaking experience.
