Specialties
At Catalina Home Tech, the same technician shows up every visit, learns your home, and writes down exactly what was done — so you're never starting over with a stranger.
I spent 14 years at Apple before starting this, and I work across all of it: Apple, Windows, Wi-Fi, TVs, cameras, smart home, and small-business networks. Whether your Wi-Fi won't reach the back bedroom, your new TV won't talk to the soundbar, or you just want someone patient to teach you how to FaceTime the grandkids — I've got you.
Here's how it works: tell me what's not working, I quote it in plain English (flat rate whenever I can), I show up and do it right, and you get a one-page handoff with everything documented. No "consultations." No surprises on the bill. No dust where you didn't have dust.
Proudly serving the Catalina Foothills, Sabino Canyon, and greater Tucson — including snowbirds who want their winter home running the day they land. Fully insured, with passwords kept in a vault you control.
The same person, every visit. From the foothills you call home.
History
Established in 2026.
Catalina Home Tech started the way a lot of good things do — with neighbors asking for help.
After 14 years at Apple, I'd spent my whole career helping people who were frustrated and just wanted their technology to work without being talked down to. I loved that part. What I didn't love was that when someone needed help in their own home — where the Wi-Fi actually lives, where the TV is actually mounted — there was no good option. The chains send a different stranger every time. The Apple Store can't come to you.
I started Catalina Home Tech to be the missing option: one trusted local technician who comes to your home, learns your setup, and is still here next year when you need them again.
Proudly serving the Catalina Foothills, Sabino Canyon, and greater Tucson — the community I call home. Same person, every visit.
Meet the Business Owner: Ryan L.
I'm Ryan Lawrence, founder of Catalina Home Tech.
I spent fourteen years at Apple Retail — hiring and coaching technicians, troubleshooting the full Apple lineup, and learning from thousands of conversations what people actually need from their technology. What I learned most is that the hard part usually isn't the hardware. It's the locked-out Apple ID, the photos that vanished, the suspicious "Apple Security" text, the one smart switch that won't cooperate. My specialty is figuring out what's actually wrong and explaining it without jargon.
I also run The Scrapyard, a web and game-server hosting business — which taught me the unglamorous side of paying-customer tech: billing, infrastructure, late-night fires, all of it.
I built Catalina Home Tech for folks who want someone they can actually call, who shows up when promised, knows their house, and is still around next year. That's me, on every visit.
