If you are on a time schedule, or are in town for ren fest, or trying to get to your destination…read moreat a certain hour I would AVOID this place !! We ordered 2 things off the food menu and waited an hour!! After 40 minutes , we asked the barista about our order, she checks on our order and tells us "10 minutes". She has no care in the world and she looked at me like I was bothering her. Well those 10 minutes turned into 20 minutes. We get up to check on our order for the 2nd time and they ask us, "what did you order"? Smh!!! They bag it up and we take it to go. We also ordered tea w / a SPLASH of lemonade and they give us 50/50 so now it's way too sweet. Our coffee was too creamy and even after TWO shots , still not strong enough. I work in a kitchen too so I understand, BUT the wait was ridiculous for it not being busy.. Look at the chickens wrap I was given after waiting for an hour. So lame!! The baristas need better training and so does BOH, They just simply have "I don't care" attitudes. I travel a lot between Houston and Austin plus am a faithful renfest goer and we will never stop here again. The place is cool doe , I think you can buy the vinyls that are by the restroom? Anyway what a shame, this place could be better

And what better place than the shop I used to go to back in the 90's. Now I've never been to the woodlands location before. It's in that waterway district near the mall and so parking was sure to be a B. But this being thanksgiving week it actually wasn't half bad. The shop is smaller than the Richmond location. But that's just more goodness compressed into a TLP. There are no birthday specials alas. But they did have some free samples of tiramisu. It was good but I had to get my favorites. J's birthday cake and the Big O. The birthday cake is thicker like brownie than some of the other chocolate cakes. I can't describe the frosting this go around because my punk kid at all the frosting off it while my attention was focused on the Big O. But the cake part was moist. As for the Big O it was Ooooohhh. No When Harry Met Sally diner scene experience. But it was F'n awesome. Staff was super helpful and nice. Wanted to eat more but my blood sugar wouldn't tolerate it.

I shared with the person behind the counter that there is a nut allergy in our family and she was helpful in telling us what to avoid. Tip-- they did share that they don't regularly disclose if something that nuts (peanuts or tree nuts) so if you have an allergy, make sure you tell them so they can help! There were a small set of tables to sit inside and enjoy your treats if you wanted to. We got a variety of things to share, tres leches (this is okay, a little sweet and pretty standard), tiramisu, pecan pie bar (delicious but crumbly/messy to eat), Oreo truffles and confetti truffles (my nieces and nephew absolutely loved these)! It was pretty pricey, but always happy to support local businesses!

It's a family business down to the china the meals are served on. The tea room is beautifully kept and inviting. Loved the sampler lunch with pimento cheese, chicken salad and cucumber dill sandwiches and great tomato basil soup too. Next time I will make sure to save room for dessert as well. I had iced tea but they had a very nice selection of Ahmad tea for hot tea. The owner and staff were absolutely lovely and even arranged a comfy little place next to our table for my friends baby boy to lie and play on while we ate. We enjoyed browsing the cute gift shop in the front of the building as well. Such a nice place to enjoy lunch and I look forward to going back!

This is the first time it has been used as a gift shop and tea room. Everything is authentic down to the antique plates, Silverware and stemware. Warm and cozy it's got country charm everywhere. Once you get to the back Tea Room you'll be given a simple menu to choose from and nothing on it is less than delicious. The hot tomato basil soup was served in a teacup. So cute!! With a generous portion of quiche for my main course, the side dish stole the show. The best broccoli salad I've ever eaten. I would highly recommend stopping by for a nibble and a shop. I would also recommend the peach tea and buttermilk pie. The menu may change as they repair their food fresh daily. You won't find food processors here, it's all done by hand with love.
