We had Victor perform a service call on our mini split air conditioner in our commercial building…read more He diagnosed the situation and recommended replacing our unit with a new one. He offered to get us a quote which he sent me the next day. I questioned the reliability of the brand he was offering. He admitted that it was a substandard brand and requoted with a more reliable brand. We agreed to move forward with the installation at which time he said we needed to meet him at the supplier to pay for the unit directly. We asked him to just purchase the unit and we would reimburse him but he refused. We reluctantly drove to the supplier to meet him. When we got there we could not find him. I called him and turned out that he texted us an address to the wrong supplier. His response was not apologetic and just laughed. He sent us a different address and eventually found the correct place. Proceeded with the purchase and then looked at the unit we bought. His quote was for a 36000 btu unit and the unit he had them load in his vehicle was a 24000 btu unit. We questioned the difference and hus response was that the smaller unit would work as well as the unit he had quoted. We got into a heated conversation and proceeded back inside to cancel the purchase with the supplier. The unit he quoted us on cost $500 more and refused to make the situation right. The supplier got involved and offered to absorb the $500 difference so we could be a satisfied customer. At that point Victor got really angry because they were willing to do that for us. He demanded that the supplier cancel the transaction and made them give us a refund. What an unbelievable situation.

Let me start off by saying that I seldom give great reviews especially when I have been noticing…read morethe quality of HVAC companies go down. The good old days where they knew what they were doing are over. Now these bigger HVAC companies hire a bunch of trainees and have them learn at your homes expense! What's frustrating is that they charge you a premium for the 30 or 40 years they have been in service but they send you an apprentice!! I was going through exactly that issue with the first company that I hired. They couldn't fix the issue. The tech didn't know how the unit responds to different things. Every two minutes we was on the phone with someone from the office . Embarrassing and pathetic! I found Bryce online and started talking to him about my problems. He was so honest , genuine, and knowledgeable that he would troubleshoot the issue for me with pictures and via text while the other tech was onsite. He told me how they were doing it all wrong. Sure enough 3 months later our unit failed, then the premium company tells me it's going to cost 25k to change the hvac system. I decided I am going to go with my gut and hired Bryce. He was the guy I was looking for all along, he charged me a reasonable price, was transparent and more importantly very knowledgeable and knew what the heck he was doing! So fortunate I found him and he came thru. Since then I've been recommending Bryce and everyone he services is happy. Save your time and money and go with a company like this one and call Bryce...a company that understands that fixing the customers problem is how you get a customer for life!

I called several Plumbing and heating services they would only come out and give a consultation or estimate and most of them charge between $150 - $250 just to come look but none of them would commit to doing the actual work on this holiday weekend everyone said the same thing not available until Monday, Tuesday or even longer because it is Thanksgiving weekend. I called R. Monteverde Plumbing and heating on Wednesday they came out the next day on Thursday Thanksgiving morning to give an estimate and then installed a wall heater Saturday immediately. I am very thankful because the inspection is on Monday and we would hate to lose this buyer. Great customer service!

He also did my annual maintenance service. I can't recommend Bonafide (and Joe in particular) enough. He's straightforward, friendly, very fast and he does great work. I had to replace my AC/heater unit a few years ago. About a year ago, I ran the AC and the unit leaked through my ceiling. The original AC company was gone. A friend recommended Joe. Joe got to my house and immediately surmised that when the unit was replaced, they installed a more powerful unit, but did not put in larger ducts. Joe repaired the unit, re-did all the duct work and sealed up the attic space. It's such a relief to work with a contractor/service person you can trust. And Joe knows his business.

This was on Thursday. Friday, I provided them with all the info I had including the receipt, distributor on where it was purchased and even phone numbers. No return calls or even return texts. Can't trust this kind of person who does business this way. I hate to leave negative reviews unless it is warranted, in this case it was. Even though I had little knowledge of this subject matter, I felt very comfortable that he could clearly explain the job, answer all my questions, and give his professional recommendations. We needed: New HVAC & New furnace, New insulation and new vents throughout. One of Robert's recommendations was to relocate the furnace into attic which I was very happy to gain a sizable shoe closet ! Also, after I mentioned my struggles with allergies, he recommended a Whole-home Air purifier machine (YES! Please!) Since we weren't living in the home yet, it was nice that Robert communicated daily at the start of his day and would send me pics and videos with daily progress on most days. The job site was neat and worked well with the other contractors in the house! If you're in need of these services and looking to support a local family-owned company that's professional, reasonably priced with excellent customer service, I highly recommend Robert and his crew!

Not only did they come from a recommendation from a family member in the HVAC business, but they were a large cut above, and MANY dollars cheaper than the rest. Not only did they come out to service my A/C at my house (which had a condenser from 1986), even though my house (in Canoga park, ca) is in no way close to their home in Huntington beach, but they did it literally next day. When Robert showed up he was professional, courteous, was great with my dog (though she wouldn't stop barking, but that's an entirely different issue), and provided the most informative service I've had so far. Other companies had come out, but refused to listen to the fact that we just wanted the condenser replaced, not the furnace, not the ducting, and not the windows. They kept pushing up sells on us until we couldn't take it any more. Robert listened to what we wanted and said, absolutely no problem. The install went smoothly, and every step of the way Robert was there to explain to me exactly what they were doing that moment and why. He did so in a manner that mad either easy to understand, and when I had questions he answered them fully. I came away with the feeling that he really wanted me to understand what was being placed in my home and how it worked and would not rest until I was satisfied with his explanations. Not only was the service great, but the pricing was literally at LEAST 2/3 the price of the closest competitors. Suffice to say, we are now thinking of replacing our ducting, and there is only one company I'm going to call, and that's Tried and True.
