Very disappointed in what castle park has become. I used to come here as a kid and I would easily spend all day here. Many school trips too. The rides were closed the day we went and the arcade and mini golf was shameful. Most of the games were off and those that were on were not functioning properly. My little girl was able to play 4 games. We tried mini golf and it was horrible. The golf course has become extremely run down. They need to reinvest their money into what they already have and stop adding on. Rebrand it or something because this park is not working anymore. I will never come back here unless they spruce the place up and reinvest. Take heed of the poor reviews as they are right on the money. read more

We went to Castle Park exclusively to play miniature golf. We paid $7.99 each to play. We challenged the "Masters" course and found it to be fun, challenging and in poor condition. There are many fun buildings on the grounds which adds atmosphere and we would have loved playing at this park without reservations if the course had been better maintained. Many greens had torn astroturf, especially around the holes. Several holes had "traps" which we hadn't seen anywhere else before. Overall, a fun experience, but we have some reservations recommending it. read more

When we arrived to a car ride at 4 pm on a weekend, they closed the line and put up a sign saying "we are not closed, check back in 30 min". Okay not a big deal, we hang around and came back 30 min later. Not an attendant in sight, but a long line of people waiting to get on. Waited another while until everybody in the line gave up and walked away. Okay, so we hang around another 30 min, still no attendant. This was my 4 year old's favorite ride, we didn't want to leave without riding this, so we stuck around until 5:30 pm. Finally one single attendant came, but they can't start the ride without two attendants. Waited another while until a second attendant came, but she immediately walked away as if she just ignored everybody in line. Waited some more until she came back. She tells the first attendant to go somewhere else. I calmly explained to her that we had been waiting for this for 2 hours, she simply told us to go play another ride because this one is still closed. My 4 year old is crying, and I'm stuck trying to explain to him why they turned us away after waiting for 2 hours. Please, if you have kids, don't take them here, they'll thank you for it. read more

First, Friday night is not considered part of the weekend. We thought we'd take the kids out for some fun and found out this wasn't the place. No rides open. It was dark and creepy. We didn't want to pay for just golf, so we ended up just staying and letting them play at the arcade. Half the games weren't working or ate the tokens. It was dirty and ghetto. We bought stocking stuffer tickets for $7 which was unlimited rides and golf! The park was not crowded and we got on rides quickly and were able to ride them several times! We also played at the Arcade. Some games were not working and would take your token but Staff gave us replacement tokens. For lunch we had pizza which was Pizza Hut. Pizza was ok but it's what we expected. Overall we had a great time, lots of fun and it was very inexpensive! We definitely will return! read more

Perfect place to take kids. Its been here for YEARS. I grew up going there as a child, but thats where all my best memories came from. The dragon is actually really fun still, as well as the shooting star. Also their, food is up to par. Pricey, but still up to par. read more

Went for Mothers Day. Was told at front gate (with signs everywhere) that Moms Ride Free on Mothers Day. Had no idea but was pleasantly surprised. Ticket counter even told me the 3 rides I could go on while pregnant with my daughter. I'm sitting on the train with my husband and 1 year old and am told I have the wrong bracelet and have to GET OFF the train!!! I explained that I was told I could ride for free. She insisted I get off and that the bracelet doesn't pay for train rides. The manager then said it wasn't about cost, it was about 'safety'...after I rode the carousel and cars with my daughter. Apparently an enclosed train going 1 mph is too much for my 'disability'. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

We just went to Castle park for their halloween makeover. We had a blast, and for less than $100 all four of us played mini golf, had popcorn, $20 worth of tokens, unlimited rides, and had spider cookies too. There was 3 halloween mazes, and the old-time cars were great fun. Other competitors have only one haunted house, but since there's three here, I'd recommend castle park to anyone in the Inland Empire. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD!! we went there with the family to celebrate a birthday and we were a group of 20 people. We all decided to eat at Pizza Hut inside the park so we spent ALOT of money there, then we all went to sit and eat and after 30 minutes of being sitting down the staff along with police officers approached us saying that a member from the group had paid with a fake bill. All this 30 minutes after we all sat down to eat! Meaning anyone could've given that bill and they decide to blame my sister, Immediately in front of my whole family and her 3 small children they decide to arrest my sister, Keep in mind that it's only 8 adults and the rest are kids. All the children were crying, I am so upset and disappointed at the way they handled the situation, things could've been resolved in a more human matter!! The staff saw the kids crying and vomiting because they were all really scared and nobody cared. It was a horrible experience and for this place to be a family attraction park it's even more disappointing, I will make sure that all my friends and family never visit here again!! read more

Super fun. Was a little worried after reading a few negative reviews but after coming it is well worth the money. For how much you get to do it is so with it. Between the water park, the rides, and 4 mini golf courses, you have to make a day out of this place. We have season passes to Disneyland and our passes black out Saturday and we came only for the water park and ended up staying all day. It was really great! Make the trip! Came here because this was one of my grandson 's favorite places to go when we are in the area. It's sad when the parking attendants allow certain people to park close, whether they are disabled or not. I have lower back issues, and when the attendant allowed a group of young people park close, then demand that I park in the secondary parking lot, to walk to the entrance, is bad customer service. ok where do i start........their website says, kids 36" and under must have an adult to ride with them. they would not let my son ride them cause he was 35" and the ride operator(about 17 yrs old) said, "yeah the website is wrong" so my son was heartbroken we ordered bread sticks, fries, and buffalo wings at 6:18pm. we got our food at 7:11. that is unacceptable. for any place. i was so upset. my sister ordered 15 pizza's for her kids and their friends for a party. these were personel pizzas cause they closed the regular pizza place on a sat night. they burnt 8 of them, and i mean black burnt, but tried to give them to her. it took her 1hr 45 min for her food. then, they closed at 8pm. when i clearly states 9pm on the website. we went on 2 rides cause we spent so much time waiting for food. never saw security, never saw an employee over 20 except a man that looked like he was a mechanic. dont ever go here, it is horrible. you will waste your money an you will be very oissed off. unless you are 15 and are a riverside trash person. they seem to love it watch out for the gang bangers and filthy trash that goes there. save your $$$ and go to knott's read more

Wow, I gotta say my recent family visit was pretty disappointing. This place really looks aged and run down. I grew up in Riverside and went to Castle Park often, even taking a job there while in high school. Granted I got in with their FaceBook Fan coupon ($5.00 for unlimited rides after 5pm on a Saturday), I was still disgruntled that they got my $5.00 from me, and felt cheated......along with having to pay $6.00 for parking. Not all the rides were in operation, and from the looks of the older rides there; they are most likely 15 + years old. I wouldn't be surprised to turn on the evening news one night to hear that one of their rides broke down killing a bunch of people. Some of the kids running the rides seemed to enjoy their job (they don't know any better yet) and were cordial and polite. There seemed to be a lot of unattended teenagers running around, but I guess that's typical of a place like this. The ride park didn't look well maintained in the means of having the grounds swept, or trash consistently removed. I didn't eat there, but my wife had a corndog which gave her the runs later that night. The outdoor dining area tables were dirty, as were the floors. Make sure everyone goes to the bathroom before you come to the park. You don't want to use them here. If you do visit any of the restrooms here, seek medical attention soon after. We decided we'd play a round of miniature golf. They do in theory have a great miniature golf course at Castle Park. The place is dated, you gotta remember this place was built in the 1970's and the current owner hasn't really pumped that much cash into it - and it's obvious that they have just let the place go. When I got to the window to pay for the miniature golf we waited for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from the teenager inside handing out Chinese handcuffs to little kids for tickets. Being the patient customer I am, I called the park office from my cell phone and told them to get some to the golf window as a line was forming and no one was helping. Another 5 minutes went by and the "Manager" all 19 years of her walks out to tell everyone that the courses were closed because they were vandalized. Nice.... The couple in front of me had come to the park only to play miniature golf and were upset about having to pay the $6.00 for parking to get into the park only to find this out. The teenager did a fantastic job of blowing the couple off and passing the buck to someone else. If there's anything I get a kick out of - it's watching someone else get the shaft.....Hilarious I started to feel relieved they only got the $15.00 from me for my wife and kid. Whew. Their arcade, I'm not sure if you can call it that. But I think there was some games here I played there when I was 10 years old (I'm 31 now). About a third of them were "out of order" and I lost about $2.00 of my $10.00 in tokens to games that didn't work. The interior was filthy, and the games looked dirty too. I felt like I could possibly catch an STD from operating some of the controls to their games. The only time I would recommend you bother with this place is with some sort of coupon. I couldn't imagine paying full price for any of their attractions. read more

What a piece of crap this place has turned into. Over half of the rides closed down, 75% of the arcade games out of order, and 3 of the 4 golf courses closed for repair. I dont see any "repair" going on and the other excuse I keep getting is that they dont have enough employees to run it all. Why the hell are you open for business then? This is for the arcade. I would say about 80% of the games are broken or do not work. Tried to play a airplane game the joystick would not move the plane to the right. Then tired playing trucker driving game. The truck would not turn left with the steering wheel. Air hockey took our 3 coins. Never got to play. Was trying to go in and enjoy the arcade, but you have to pay $10 just to enter the park ON TOP OF $10 for parking. The $10 to enter the park doesn't include rides, water park, or mini golf. Literally JUST walking into the park. Arcade games are $0.50-$1.00 each. Which isn't bad. But you'd practically spend $20 before you ever played a game. read more

I was expecting a full refund and instead I got a little piece of paper saying that next time I come,they will automatically give me the same tickets. I was here for about an hour and just because I was five minutes over the hour limit,the supervisor said they couldn't give me back my money. Like really only five minutes and the lady still couldnt help me? I have 4 kids and we all drove an hour just to get here. What a waste of time and money. I came here on a school field trip and was pleasantly surprised with what I saw. After countless years of listening to the ticket giveaways on KOLA 99.9, I was finally in the infamous park. Like the school staff said, it's just like Scandia (or the Boomers by my house). There's a good number of rides, both high thrill and not-so-much. I didn't get a chance to check out the prices for rides (if you pay individually or get an unlimited wristband). Food seemed plentiful, but half of it was closed because the park wasn't under normal operating conditions. We didn't get on any of the ride because the big roller coaster was closed while we were there and the other one literally broke down as we got in line. The students seemed to have fun though. We did get to ride on the dark ride inside the castle and we, the teachers, loved it. It's very similar to Astro Blasters at Disneyland, but more dark ridey (which is an absolute plus in my book). We had a lot of fun shooting at the ghosts, etc. My favorite part of the day was mini golf. We golfed 3 or the four courses (1, 2, and part of 4 to be exact). The courses were great, there was a variety of holes and none seemed to be repeated. Our issue, which everyone seemed to agree with, were the multi-level courses that would eat your golf balls due to debris in the pipes. We lost about four or five balls to the transfer tubes but the staff gave us extra balls, no questions asked. Next time, make sure the courses are clear both on the surface and in the pipes before opening to the public (the high winds the night before were absolutely to blame for this, the staff really had a lot to clean up). We got lunch at the Snack Shack across from the big food court area. I have seriously never waited in line that long for food in my life. We were in line for 20-30 minutes and the funnel cake seriously took another 20. I'm not even kidding here. While we were waiting they did hand us free corn dogs, but a 20 minute wait for funnel cake is ridiculous. Luckily for me, my admission (and all rides) were free because of the fundraiser we were a part of. I don't think I'll be paying $25 to get in anytime soon, nor will I be so inclined to ass $8 to that for one round of mini golf. read more

The golfing was fun but going to the holes were a bit confusing and it's too late for me to comback to get the 500 tickets bc I live in Lancaster ca and I was visiting my grandparents and please add water to the mini golf just for better scenery and plz fix the confusing of the holes but this place does have a lot of potential and the mini golf holes are better than scandia which closedown and they also had potential so wanna end up like them then plz check the everything even the arcade machines bc what if a kid like 5 or 6 wins a lot of jackpots and wants a plushie like I was gonna try to get one for my little cousin as a late birthday gift so just check the arcade games at least once a week read more

This was my first time back here in many years, but overall it was pretty good. After reading other reviews I expected some rides to be closed like they were. The mini golf courses could definitely use some TLC. My young kids loved the rides and it was hot so Bucaneer Cove was very refreshing and not too crowded. Glad we got a cabana. Most staff members were very friendly and pleasant, though Aldaire went above and beyond for the kids (and parents) and took our experience up a notch. Also the man running the dragon swing was entertaining even up until the last minute before closing. I am taking one star away because my email was NEVER ANSWERED from 3 weeks ago, and my Facebook message was also NEVER ANSWERED. Maybe management should look into that because those areas are important too. read more

This place is horrible. Half of there games are close. 14$ the entrance just for rides and we are a family of five and also charge me for my 29 month old and she couldn't even ride any of the rides. Arrived at the park with complete darkness at around 8:15 on Tuesday night. There were no parking lights. Couldn't see where to park. The sign said where to park but it was completely closed off with the amusement park lights off. Once we found parking we went to pay for mini golf and there was no one there for about 5 min and since you closed at 9, we were losing valuable playing time. By the time someone showed up and paid it was already 8:30 pm. We were told course 3 and 4 were closed and 1 was the hardest so we chose 1. Not only are the courses not even and maybe that's what makes it hard. But it's ridiculous how your ball ends one way but since the course is not level it rolls completely opposite where it landed. On number 4 I hit the ball and it disappeared. The family after me had their ball disappear. For the money that we spent you would think the course "grass" wouldn't have holes in it. While we were playing we somehow realized we somehow ended on course 2 and played that way for awhile until we noticed. 10 min before 9 pm, we were told that we had 10 min left. Which was fine. Once we finished, they had every exit locked. We then had to ask how to get out. They told us to go straight down. There were no lights, no exit signs leading us that way. I believe the kids working there wanted to get out on time, and didn't really care for the safety and concern of their guests. My boyfriend and I could have been mugged or beaten in the dark parking lot and no one would notice. I drove by this course during the day and was excited to take my boyfriend here but after our experience I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

What can I say....I've been coming here for 30 years now. I'm a life long Riverside resident. My dad took me when I was little. 30 years later, I bring my kids here. Sure it's not always perfect, but neither is Disneyland. I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere and I've never had a bad encounter with any employees here. The park is pretty run down which is sad because it's the only affordable place between Disneyland and Knott's which is why we go there. Their rides are very limited and usually all of them are not staffed so many times you can't ride them. Most of the rides and areas need paint or repair. Cracked concrete everywhere. Very expensive mediocre food. My husband and I go there to mini-golf. The course needs some repairs and refurbishing in areas but they are in the process of fixing that. They have four courses all of which are challenging and fun which is why we go there. One other down side is in the little kiddie area they don't have enough people staffing the rides so they alternate running a ride every 30 minutes. That's an eternity for a 3-year-old. One of the roller coasters is not operating which is a drag. Still having given the park a bad rap my 4 grandkids (ages from 3 to 11) enjoy it. We will probably buy passes for ourselves this year just for the mini-golf but will not buy them for the grandkids again. Although it's affordable they are usually bored because of the ride closures. Which is another beef of mine. They don't run the rides 7 days a week. The kids did enjoy buccaneer's cove but the older kids will be to big for the slides this year. :( read more

This can be a fun place if you don't mind old rickety rides and over crowded small spaces. I do suggest eating before entering the park since the concession lines are ridiculously LONG for mediocre food. We did though want to try the rib and chicken plate they had and after a 25 minute wait, they told us they were out of Cole slaw and corn so we had to double up on our baked beans and for $15 we got what looked like a kids meal! 3 dried up ribs the size of my finger a few tablespoons of beans and a nugget sized piece of corn bread. NEVER AGAIN!!!! The rides like I said, are "fun" just old and a lot smaller than your average knotts ride. They also have an arcade there with decent games BUT,...The claw machines are so rigged beyond belief! I'm a pretty good claw machine player and know which angles to use to try and pick up a prize or just move on and forget about it BUT, We tried several machines and I was able to pick up a few stuffed animal and right before it hit the roof of the machine we clearly saw the claw open about an inch and drop the toy. We tried it one more time and YUP, claw opens right before hitting the top and drops the toy. We won't be wasting our money on those again! ..They also have a mini bowling alley and a mini golf course... Overall It's an ok place to visit when you have nothing else to do. read more
