Unfortunately the food didn't meet expectations. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant with a Thai tea and a sugared donut. The donut was doughy and flat lacking the light fluffy texture I expect from a donut. The Thai tea tasted watered down. My croissant sandwich was underwhelming because it lacked seasoning and overall flavor. If you do decide to get anything from this spot, the donuts are the best bet.

Donuts looked delish and I needed a coffee so I ordered a half dozen Donuts and an oatmilk capp. My jaw nearly hit the floor when the guy told me my total. It was FORTY DOLLARS.... one beverage and six donuts.... Forty... Four... Zero... Dollars. 47 bucks and change after tip to be exact.... for six donuts and one beverage. I get it that inflation is crazy right now but ... tfffffff.. So... ok I thought.... JFC but I mean, these donuts are gonna blow my nips off right??? Riiiiiiiigggghhhhhhhht?????? The most mid donuts I've ever had. I took one bite of my chocolate frosted and all the frosting fell off.... Everywhere.... Worst 7 to 8 dollars I've ever spent in my life. The dough is just kind of tough, like I get wanting a little chew in your donut but this is giving frosted grocery store bagel. Absolutely top 5 worst cappuccino's I've ever had. Shot was bitter, oatmilk was burnt. The cronut was good. I'd pay 4 to 5 bucks for it. After this fiasco my friend informed me no one goes here but influencers and Tans is the spot.

So I arrive, excited they're open and there's still a good selection of donuts. Now I didn't want t hold my breath on anything fresh so I grab quite a few to ensure something's would be edible. The lady at the counter was pleasant and friendly for an afternoon. The store has the donuts, tea and coffee but also doubles as a convenience store with some other packaged goods, snacks and beverages. So I grab an apple fritter, buttermilk bar and tons of maple items: maple bar, maple crueler, and maple old fashioned. There was a massive chocolate bar I had to ask about. It's twice the size of your standard donut bars. The attendant stated it like a celebratory donut instead of a birthday cake! When I finally tried a bite, I was pleasantly surprised the donuts tasted fresh! Like all of them! To get a fresh tasting donut on a Sunday afternoon feels like finding a $20 bill on the street. My one time here didn't experience fancy donuts but they were solid. I recommended place and you can feel good that you'll get a fresh tasting donut in the afternoon.

The craftsmanship here is evident in every loaf and pastry. Their sourdough is a masterclass in texture, boasting that perfect, resilient crust and a complex, airy crumb that captures the essence of classic fermentation. The sweet and savory options are equally impressive, delivered with a warmth that feels authentically local. * **Pastry Excellence:** The ham and cheese croissants are expertly laminated, providing a shatteringly crisp exterior that gives way to a rich, savory center. For those with a sweet tooth, the berry scones are consistently packed with fresh fruit and have a tender, buttery finish. * **Signature Granola:** Beyond the fresh bakes, their granola is a hidden star--perfectly toasted, balanced in sweetness, and ideal for a high-energy morning. * **The Vibe:** Whether you're visiting the Sebastopol Avenue location or catching them at the farmer's market, the service is genuinely personal. The brick-and-mortar space has a cool, industrial-meets-inviting aesthetic that makes it a great destination, even if you're used to grabbing your favorites at Oliver's. Even though it was slightly later in the morning, we still had a good range of choices. My husband opted for the chocolate bar and we got a glazed, old-fashioned and apple fritter to sample. My husband said his chocolate bar was light and fluffy, and he inhaled it in about three bites. This is why there is no photo of it. lol the glazed old-fashioned was basically perfect. It was well balanced with a good cake, texture and nice crunch the fry. The glaze was delicious and I'm not sure if the faint spice was in the glaze or in the dough, but it was honestly a wonderful surprise! I love when donuts have a little more complexity. My husband and I both agreed that apple fritters are a tough one to do in a perfect way, but this one was pretty close. It's hard to cook an apple fritter without it becoming a little heavy on oil. This one had a little bit of heaviness, but in the long run, it was not overwhelming nor as greasy as many apples we've had. Thankfully, it also had a nice amount of cinnamon to uplift the whole pastry. Overall, this is truly a hidden gem that for whatever reason I've never noticed. Well done!
