In need of feeling unsafe while browsing in uncomfortable silence in an adult store? Castle is for you! Showed up 45 min before close, and entered the store. Music was playing and we started to browse. All of the sudden the music stopped, it felt like all of the lights in the bar were turned on, the undeniable "get out" retail power play. We tried to talk using our indoor whisper voices in the dead silence, when a couple came in who did not have IDs. The male was confrontational and angry about the ID requirement. He was rude to the employee and the employee told him to get the "f" out of the store. This agro banter continued 3-4 times before I decided to peace out. As far as toys, the variety is so-so, most items looked cheap. Merchandise wise, it felt like the red headed stepchild of overstock.com and Walmart online items. It could have been a fun browse if they hadn't of shut off the music. Real mood killer, and way to make awkward sex toy shopping even more awkward and intense in utter silence. The store was unorganized, bins of stock were out around the store, and the back stockroom door was left open where I could look in. #creepy The vibe was off. Friendly staff and lots of products which can be overwhelming when you first walk in. I also would say a bit pricey, but the price point isn't that much different then what you find online (even if you can find the exact same thing online). Most people for the holidays come in to grab Elephant Gift party favors as gag gifts so keep that in mind... clowns will show out. Didn't feel pressured or uneasy at any point but I think a lot of that is to one's personality and maybe confidence when you come into stores like this. If your comfortable about your sexuality, then having conversations about products and more seems pretty easy. If it's all new, then I think you should be fine. If you do need assistance, I felt I got want I needed, but I still have a lot more insight and didn't really find what I was looking for. I kept checking to see if he was following us, and making sure I wasn't being crazy. NOPE mans was def following us, AND NOT ASKING IF WE NEEDED ANY HELP LOL so rude. the other sales associate did the same, minus following us around. no one was friendly towards us at all, what so ever. We ended up deciding to buy something that we've seen talked about on social media, and the worker that was following us around rang us up. RUDE AGAIN. he was like "*inset item" is better." I'm appalled by the staff here. I walked almost a mile in 104 degrees cause I was getting my tire fixed. I walked in with a bag and they said it's company policy no bags. Usually this would not be an issue, but being that I didn't have my car and just walked I asked them if I could leave it by the door while I quickly grab what I was there to get. They both said no it's company policy and that the bag needed to be placed outside. So now I'm out in 104 degrees again waiting on an Uber and there is nowhere to even sit outside. I'm a business owner and we would never treat a customer like that. Plus my husband and I spend several hundreds of dollars there on the regular and I guess the hustler store will be our new go to. I had not come to this store in years but tonight I decided to come shop around for the weekend. I did not look the store hrs online before coming in my bad as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by "do you have your ID?!" The likelihood of returning here is very low. My sisters and I first arrived and there was a nice lady who was attentive, but gave us space. She must have taken a break or her shift was up because by the time we got to the register there was a guy there and I'm not trying to be mean, but he was very creepy. My girlfriend and I went in a week ago to get some toys. Upon checkout the guy behind the counter didn't get his name (spiky dark brown hair) I think he was a manager upsold us on a toy. Told us the other one was way better and PROMISED it would stick to the wall. Got home took it out wouldn't stick to anything, it was a strap on attachment. We didn't use it tried to return it and he said he couldn't. We told him he gave us false information and he couldn't care less. Don't mind spending the extra money ($300 btw) but I highly suggest not asking him for advice he's obviously working on commission and doesn't give a fuck about his customers.
